I bought my coat in Zappos and was excited to get it. I had tried it in sort of fast at my local Dicks and liked the fit so decided to splurge on it. It fits perfectly and keeps me warm. Unfortunately, it has two major negatives that are incredibly aggravating to me. First, the Velcro wrist straps/tighteners are very very uncomfortable. They feel like sharp edges digging into my wrists no matter how I adjust them. Secondly, the top of the jacket at the neck where the collar area is is SUPER uncomfortable. It actually slices into my neck and leaves scratch/gouges. It's painful! The jacket has to be zipped up fully for this to not hurt me and that is not always an option when out and about shopping or walking around. It's bizarre. I wish I had gotten the far more comfortable Tipton or the horizon explorer instead. Now I'm stuck with this painful, uncomfortable jacket. Such a bummer.

I'm unhappy with the product because the thermal reflective material is not applied to the arm portions of the new coat.

I will start by saying I think this is a faulty product. I love and own a number of Columbia products and this has never happened. After placing it in the cold wash cycle (not even the dryer) it appears as though the jacket basically melted and tore apart in a number of places. This was washed with a women's version as well which had no damage, along with some other jackets and blankets which no damage occurred. Obviously very disappointed in this and I will be reaching out to Columbia to see what they can do.

I bought this jacket because I was in need of a warmer jacket. Plus, I always wanted a Columbia jacket and this is a down jacket too. Definitely the first of many! The quality of the jacket is excellent! The cinches for the hood and hem are great for having it fit to me just right. The upper Omni Tech part is great and repels water good. The Omni Heat part helps retain the heat and the Down helps keep me warm more. Not only is this jacket warm but it's versatile and stylish too!

It's a pretty great coat. It's warm, light and stylish. I initially ordered a large but it was way too big. The medium fit perfectly though. I am 5'9" 190 lbs.

Warm, looks good and feels well made. I usually buy a small and this fits well with enough space for extra layers.

My jacket just came in perfect timing wet and cold out. I wear a 3xl but the 2xl fits pretext

Great waterproof winter jacket for hiking or just being outside. Exactly what I was looking for. Runs very big. I usually get L but had to get a M on this.

This coat is super warm for Michigan weather! This coat is so warm that my son has to take it off in the car because he got too hot.

I bought this jacket in Shanghai the fit is very good, it fills excellent for the cold humid Shanghai winter, I am very happy to have a new Columbia Jacket, the thermal insulation is excellent combination for the 650 down filling.

My son is 6’3” slim build I purchased the Large Fits great Nobody likes a tight jacket You can never go wrong with Columbia “Omni-Heat” technology

Great jacket, very warm, waterproof, and perfect for the Oregon Coast where I live as a Landscape Photographer. I normally wear 2XL in shirts so I ordered the jacket as a 2XL.. it was too big so I returned it for a XL and that fits perfectly. I recommend this jacket!

I bought this jacket for my husband and he likes it a lot the only complaint is that is no warmer that he was expecting.

I bought this to replace a puffy down jacket that was not waterproof nor particularly warm. I didn't want something too hot, though, so the 650 down insulation is perfect (I have a 780 Turbodown Parka, which is fantastic). The jacket is almost exactly what I want - light and comfortable, warm enough to use down to close to 32F, and waterproof. Excellent zipper (that's what failed on my older jacket), and nice material (sturdier than the puffy jacket). I did know when I bought this that it lacked an external pocket near the chest, and that the internal pockets are more pouch-like than pockets (and a little thin... though I suspect the material is strong enough, but I wouldn't put my key fob in there in case the keys damaged it). So that's my only complaint - would like that extra pocket for my phone or wallet. But the quality is excellent, and the benefits outweigh this slight inconvenience. I'd certainly recommend the jacket, and would buy again.

This jacket is much lighter than any Columbia jackets I have owned, it is also much warmer than any I have owned. The quality seems fine and I consider this a great purchase. The size runs a little bigger than expected which is exactly what I was looking for. 5' 10" and 180, just the right amount of space for layers underneath during colder weather.

This coat is very warm thanks to the down insulation and reflective material inside. It fits well- large enough for a few layers underneath if needed. Very comfortable fit. I like it so much I bought it in two colors. This is my favorite coat for Colorado winter's.
