My main quibble about this shoe is the very shallow heel cup. Even with using the original insoles, my heel was not deep in the heel cup and my foot/ankle felt unstable. I had thought of using these for pickleball or even a zumba class but when I tested these inside my house with quick lateral movements, my heels started to come out of the shoe and I was afraid of twisting my ankle. There are no extra holes to lace your shoes in such a way as to stabilize your ankle. Even if I wore these just walking around, my heel would still be sloshing around a bit too much.

It is unbelievable how nice Zappos is. It took me seven tries to get the right shoes to make my feet and my new orthotics happy. And Zappos couldn't have been more understanding and helpful. (Plus they answer their phones with jokes!) It is difficult to translate American sizes into European sports shoe sizes and I know I would never have found a brick and mortar store employee who would have had the patience that Zappos offered as I went through shoe after shoe. If feet could purr, mine would be purring.
I'd also recommend:
All of the Hoka - and I tried a lot of them!

I absolutely love my Hoka Clifton 6's so I thought I would try these out because they are a more sleek and stylish looking that the clunky Cliftons. Style wise they are great but they are not nearly as comfortable as the Cliftons. It lacks the cushioning and comfort. There is also absolutely no grip on the bottoms.

I was a die hard ASICS fan but the running shoes always looked clunky on my already large size 11. These make my feet look SMALL, the grey is a nice neutral. Most importantly, these are SO COMFY!!!!! Perfect for long walks, errands, Disney World trips, etc..!!! Can't wait to try the Cliftons for running and working out.

Great fit. Honestly, I love these shoes!
I now have 3 pair of Hoka shoes!
The one thing I will say about this shoe is the laces are short and dont stay tied very well. I took them out of the last holes and double tie them which has helped but the laces are a bit high maintenance. The thing is....the laces match the shoe exactly so simply getting different laces would not work.

This is a great shoe for my HIIT/gym workouts. There isn’t a lot of lateral movement inside the shoe so my foot stays stable while jumping and the like. I would not wear them to run and will stick with my Brooks Ghost for that. This is my third pair of Hupana’s and I’m glad I finally found a gym shoe.

The Hoka Flow has a very firm sole. I preferred the Hoka Hupana with the very cushioned feel and low rise sole.

Very lightweight and comfortable. I bought the shoe for foot pain in the ball of my foot (probably arthritis). I have a narrow foot and was worried they would be too wide, but they fit nicely. I'm not feeling the foot pain I had with my Nike shoes. The sole is mostly flat with little tread and I'm already noticing some wear so maybe I should have opted for one with more tread.

The shoe is probably the least clunky of all the Hoka One shoes. It definitely runs a half size large. I ordered 7.5W and it fit more like an 8W. Comfy shoe, but very bland in styling (I got the black/white ones). But if you are no frills and want a comfy shoe for running around town, consider these.

I have had heel pain for years...and I've tried plenty of shoes and insoles to try and give me some type of relief. But these shoes are THE BEST OUT THERE FOR ME!! Instant pain relief. I can't believe that these shoes has ended all my foot pain. Will definitely buy another pair.

Doesn’t look like a typical running shoe with an outrageously thick platform. It’s cushion is well hidden, and these shoes are very comfortable. They run a little wide in the toe box, but otherwise I think they’re true to your typical running shoe size.

I found these perfect for cross training. Whether I am doing a HIIT Class, Crossfit, or Bootcamp which might require some sprinting. These shoes were the perfect comfort and support. Having dealt with many injuires as well as having plantar fascitis I found that Hoka's were the best for me to allow comfort and support.

These shoes worked great and are very comfortable I wore the Hupana solely when I was dealing with Plantar Fasciitis and it made so much difference. I think it was the way that my foot was able to heal and I have not had any problems in months. The inner support is removable so you can put in your own arch support if you have one. Sometimes the shoe slips a lot so you may need to utilize the shoe lace holes that are on the side by the ankle to tighten it there but overall I love these shoes and highly recommend them if you need extra support.

These were to replace my New Balance gym shoes for weight +HIIT training.
I wear converse, keds, etc for casual wear.
Out of the box, they were really good looking and felt ok... not great but ok. I have a neutral foot and average arches and the shoe seemed to be forcing my feet to pronate - lean toward each other. Wanted to give them a chance though.
Wore to gym and it got really bad.
- cushioning fighting my movements.
- Where the tongue and body of the shoe meet there's a thick seam that rubs against my metatarsal/big toe area even through good athletic socks. Painful. Making the laces completely loose helped this but then I'm wearing slippers to the gym.
- cut of the shoe rubs against my ankles.
- STUPID SHOELACES.
After an hour in the gym my ankles and shins ached like a day in roller skates.
Unfortunately stepped in something nasty post-gym so couldn't return.
Decided to try them for casual wear.
Within a couple hours the bottoms of my feet started to burn (?!?) in addition to all the other issues.
Also, for some reason, I kept tripping over nothing. Devil shoes.
I finally took the cushions entirely out of the shoe which fixed the pronation and weird burning and lowered my foot enough that the tongue seam isn't rubbing the top of my foot. But this makes the ankle chafing worse.
Got new longer shoelaces.
Higher socks to minimize the ankle rubbing.
I have regular, normal, sized 10 feet with no issues or deformities. These shoes are just not for me. Going to the goodwill to torture someone else.

I have been wearing these for a few months and I am extremely happy with the fit, support and look of these shoes. The shoelaces are great, they are flat knit and do not come undone while wearing like some others. I am able to adjust the tightness and looseness of the lacing up to go over the sensitive part of the top of my foot. They do not get so hot when wearing all day, so they are very comfortable.

The size was spot on. Style is nice - make my feet look slimmer than other shoes. Fit is a bit stiff. Put in gel inserts to add more padding as there isn't much. Ordered a Reebok & Sketchers at same time as Hokas - returned both, but still deciding on the Hokas. I'm on my feet all day and really would prefer more cushioning for my flat feet.

Comfortable, wide width, lightweight. However it is comparable to other, cheaper comfort shoes on the market. Not sure if it's worth the extra price.

Wanted to like this shoe, too bad the inside has sticky glue all over it? Like the right size of materials just wasn't used? Disappointing lack if QA after the long wait and ordering directly from website.

I'm an RN on her feet most of the day, these are so light and comfortable. The design is sleek and cute! Bonus, my feet can breathe. Feels like I'm floating while walking. Looking into another pair. I am curious how long these will last compared to the many other brands I've purchased. We shall see!
