Bought them with reservations as my previous pair had more spikes but didn't hold up very well. Wore these on daily walks/hikes here in AK on snow and ice for the past two winters and they have never failed me and am ready to put a third winter on them. Thank you Salomon for making my winters safe and enjoyable without worrying about slips and falls!

I brought these because I'm a dog trainer in all weathers and needed something that will be comfortable and reliable. I can not explain just how comfortable these really are but absolutely perfect and foot shaped and snug. I have orthopaedic issues so the insole is really important to me. These are so comfortable I can feel the sole absorb every step I take when walking and running. I absolutely love the quick release lace system and pocket because laces are an issue in trainers in general. Flawless system that really makes you feel effortless and free just to crack on. I am a size 9 uk size and I went for 9.5 which are literally perfect. The grip is like the rest of the design outstanding and the trainer sheds water perfectly. At last a trainer that really dose meet my needs without several boots or trainers. Absolutely recommend and an easy 5 stars.

I purchased these shoes in October after researching shoes for walking on blended, icy terrain. I have three larges dogs I walk year round. I live in Michigan in a suburb of Detroit. The last few years it's been wet and cold in the months of January and February making dog walking difficult. These shoes are no joke. They do not slide. You can tap dance on the ice, although I don't recommend it. The trick to walking dogs in the cold is to walk them fast enough so their feet don't get cold, with these shoes I can do that with ease. I can walk anywhere! Sidewalks, trails, my yard! And they are very comfortable. My feet and socks stay dry. I have been walking with them since November and I often go from ice to water to ice and water with long stretches of concrete in between and it has not dulled the spikes at all. I wear them inside and they have not damaged my wood floors at all. And because the "spikes" are not sharp, they don't hurt my dogs if I should step on their feet. The only problem is people see me cruising across the ice with my three dogs and they think it's not icy and try to follow me. I have planar facilities and heal spurs and was concerned about the support, but no pain at all. It took some getting used to that I won't slide. The shoes aren't as effective if you walk gingerly on the ice as is normal. The bolder you walk, the better they grip. They are running shoes after all. I have recommended these shoes to everyone I meet.

Amazing grip on snow and ice. Feeling confident on every runs

I bought these recently, online, and could only get a half size bigger than what I normally wear. Normally I wear a 9W/8M and got a 9.5W/8.5M and I'm so glad I had too. With a warmer winter sock the slightly extra room has been a gift. These are my first pair of Salomon shoes - I thought Salomon was skis and skis alone I'm thrilled that excellence in craftsmanship spilled over to shoes. Small suggestion, include a pull tab at the ankle - makes it so much easier to pull on....

These were purchased by my Mother as a gift for me. I am in Michigan and we have ice. I can't believe these aren't more popular up here. I really, REALLY want to ask Salomon to make a blue pair for Golf. Exact same shoe, just a different color!

i usually wear the cables under my shoes when i hike this time of year. Wasnt sure if these would give me the traction i need but they have been awesome.

I splurged on these after a stranger explain how he was running on the ice encrusted trails here in New Hampshire. I love them so so much. Recommend highly.

I live in an area that gets snow and ice each year. These shoes give me confident grip on snow and ice so my winter runs have no impedement

This may not be the intended use but I use these as my snow shoveling / blowing shoes. I have a steep driveway and had fallen many times. With these shoes it's like walking on dry pavement. Worth every penny.

I bought these shoes in January 2023 and have done some shopping with them. The quality is palpable, I live in Montreal and ice can cause accidents (which has happened to me a few times). Now I feel confident to run on a snowy sidewalk. The sizing system proposed by Salomon is perfect: you just have to measure your feet. I would also say that the fit is a bit snug.

Bought a pair for myself , loved them so much that I got another pair for my wife, walking on the mountain in winter no longer requires paying attention to every step :)

I am going on year two for my Spikecross trail shoes. I am sad to see I can no longer get this shoe for an eventual replacement! I have the taller ones with the built in gaiters that zip up and snap at the top keeping my feet warm and completely dry always. I run on trail only in any conditions ice, snow drifted to my knees, muddy and sloppy and these shoes have been a blessing for stability, warmth, dryness and supreme traction! I can't say enough about them. Hands down I would buy these again and to me they are worth every penny. Brilliant design features especially the carbide tips and easy lacing system, thank you Salomon for creating them. Please make more!!!

I bought size 4.5 since I'm a women 6.5. They fit as well as all my other Speedcross sneakers. I'm a sneaker head. I have most the colors. I'm on the verge of buying 2 add'l colors that are now in stock. I bought these for a Spartan trail run. They were great, grippy and supportive. I felt very secure. If you can find them, buy them.

The shoes are great for winter runs on the snow packed roads. Non-slip and warm.

This is my winter time go-to. I love it because the traction is provided on the shoe, and you don't have to deal with taking off and putting on traction. The spikes are small enough, so the shoe feels just fine for the dry spots as well. The Gore-Tex also helps keep you dry.

I bought these shoes with the intention of using them to run off-trail in the winter in Alaska. I could't be happier with my purchase! The most important feature to me when buying them was that they kept my feet dry which they have done without fail over the first (and only) 5 months of use (I use them 4-6 times a week). I wear them with gaiters after a heavier snowfall which does the trick. The tread is legit - I almost never needed ice spikes with these babies which was such a pleasant surprise. They have shown very little sign of wear and tear. Will definitely recommend to anyone living in winter climes and not gonna let a little snow stop them.

Since I'm doing a lot more running this winter (rather than being in the gym) I broke down and ordered a specialized shoe like this, and I'm glad I did. I'm in icy/snowy northern NH, and they've been excellent on plowed but ice/snowy roads, and on packed down trails. Great traction, comfortable, warm, dry. I use them with running snowshoes as well.

I have used Salomon Spikecross shoes for winter trail running for years. Nothing else compares to the grip these shoes provide on ice. Any type of clamp-on cleats shift around on your shoes and lose their cleats as you run. These shoes have held up incredibly over the years. I've used these shoes every winter for the past five years, and they still look and feel like new. The closest I've ever felt to having super powers is running on icy trails while wearing Salomon SpikeCross shoes!

The traction is obviously why I bought these but they're surprisingly warm. Get the higher ones for deep snow, but I've had no problems in average street and sidewalk depths.

I bought these last month for AK winter running. They are super warm and provide the needed traction for snowy trails I was looking for. Watch out with the sizing when ordering online, they only had men's sizes listed and when my pair arrived they where a full size smaller than I had expected but ended up a great fit.
