These shoes are awesome. I've tried "carbon plated" shoes from other brands, and felt no difference than with a normal running shoe. With these....I felt the difference from the very first step. I've been running over 30 years, and these shoes are easily the best I've ever worn.

This is my first pair of Hoka's and so far I'm thoroughly impressed. I'll admit that in the past, I was a bit turned off by the thickness of the sole and equated it to wearing stilts when I first tried them on. However, after wearing them a few times for my normal 3-8 mile runs, I've found them to be super comfortable. I am definitely now a Hoka fan.

An extremely well designed and manufactured shoe while also being attractive. It met and surpassed my expectations in all areas excepting overall feeling. I prefer my Clifton 6's since they have a softer and gentler ride. But none the less this Carbon X is one heck of a shoe and bargained priced when I purchased them. I suggest like myself prospective buyers purchase each.

Got these as a gift for my boyfriend who is a runner! He LOVES them and the color is bright and vibrant. 10/10! Also HOKA has quick shipping and great customer service. Highly recommend.

Love the cushion and the added lift

I love the shoe and how easy running feels with it. I just hope Hoka could use something else than Eva to improve durability, that's the only downside of that shoe.

Second pair of Carbon X and still providing support and cushion as the first pair. Great fit and feel.

Light weight but a little less plush than I was expecting. A great pair of insoles really worked as far as that goes. This is my second pair of HOKA shoes. Definitely won't be my last.

Very comfortable

I only discovered Hilary One One recently after my wife recommended them and I bought a pair of Bondi 6. They mostly cleared up my Achilles issues and so I decided to get some Carbon X's too. Very comfortable and fast. I picked up 10-20 seconds per mile and am very happy!

Confortable

Slightly wider foot, so I train in Clifton 7 and Bondi 7. These are for race day and interval/tempo runs. Couldn't be happier with the way they feel, "fast"!

Happy with my purchase this is my third pair of carbon x and I love them

The sole is much improved from my first pair of Hokas. The first pair was spongy and showed wear early. They are not easy to slip on but I think that is because the running fit is much better.

Great shoes. The carbon makes a big difference - all my faster runs are with these shoes (and the other carbon-x shoes I already have).

Our favorite shoes were stolen off the front porch just after delivery by UPS. Company replaced but we have not received them yet.

In June 2019 I tried a pair of the Carbon X for the first time. Never felt such a different but highly satisfying pair of running shoes. If you like zero drop or flat soled shoes then these are NOT for you. With it's carbon rocker plate I get a lot of forward momentum that I didn't have before. With flatter shoes my achilles and calves were not happy. With these I feel like they can take a break. Yes, there's a bit more stress on the knees, but they make my legs work more in uniform. No, they don't make you land on your heels. A lot goes into how you form your stride and strike the ground. I land in the middle to the front of my foot. In fact with each pair I go through, between the ball and toe of my foot is where the sole foam wears out. I do use Super Feet insoles instead of the OEM insole. I need more support than what the standard provides. The only downside is I wish black fabric with a white sole was still around. White/light fabric gets way too dirty early.

I am training for a marathon and putting in a good amount of training miles. I love the Carbon X. My feet and legs feel great. The shoes are very responsive. The uppers are a little narrower than other Hokas I have had which works great for me. I plan to buy another pair as I wear these down.

I meant to say that I broke my personal world record on the time from the barn on 7 mile back to the Ramsdale turnoff. Wished I would have bought a pair sooner!

I have been running with Nike Zoomfly 3 and liked the rebound feel of the carbon plate tech... but I also loved the overall feel (and comfort) of my Hoka Mach... I was experiencing toe chaffing with the snug fit of ZF3... so I would alternate between my ZF3 and Mach. I decided to buy a CarbonX. Heavenly combination of carbon rebound and Hoka comfort... on my first run had my 10K PR (i did have to upsize to 10.5 vs my usual 10). All in all, love my CarbonX!

I have purchased 3 pair - they fit my slightly wider feet just great, and I love the technology. My30th marathon is coming up soon.

You can wear them all a hard day. Wears great as well.

These shoes are great, much lighter than I am used to, have helped me shave time off my runs. My only suggestion for those buying them is to watch the miles you put on them, I ran 350 miles and that was probably too much. These are 250 mile shoes or less

Omg, Carbon X. I have owned two Carbon X and I got to say these are the best running shoes I have owned from any brand. It's something magical about putting them on and feel that comfort and fit about them. Once you laced them on and go for a run that is where the magic happens. Carbon X has that carbon fiber plate at the bottom of the shoe that allows it to maximize performance. Having these shoes on, wow!! you can really feel the response of the shoes to your feet. It's like running with trampolines and something about having those feet in some ways bounce off when you in a full sprint or running a long distance. I highly recommend these,you won't regret it they do make you a little faster.
