This product changed fit from Previous years (19/20)
The thigh is narrower. I have an athletic build but now I can't tour in them unless I have the vents open, I'm 5'8" 160, and wasting size large. I loved my pants from last season because it was one of the only brands that fit mounatin women thighs, now they dont. Also there is only 2 pockets there used to be an additional pocket up by the hip great for snacks or cord but now there is only 2 and I can't have my phone or beacon in the pocket because then the paint is too tight.

Please keep making in different lengths! I have worn my second pair out, but can't replace them as I need an XS Short.

I actually went with these because they were one of the only winter shell/pants that was available in a long size. I'm 5'11" and often the normal length is a bit of an awkward ankle length for me. So getting these in long was AWESOME and they have been fantastic on the hill! I wear the Rho base layer pants under these when skiing and they have been fabulous. The belt is super helpful, pockets and vents are great and they move super well. Paired with Sentinel AR shell, its sooooo goood!

Have just spent a week skiing in these pants in a variety of conditions and temps and absolutely love thembest pants I've owned in decades of skiing. Wear with smartwool 250 in cold and Rho LTW in warmer temps. Love the features and the fit. Specifically love the pockets, which are so well placed and designed. The fit is loose but still flattering. Also love the integration with the Sentinel AR jacket. I am more comfortable with a short inseam, because I'd rather not drag a bit when my boots are off, and would definitely buy other colors if they were not sold out in short.

Thank you THANK YOU Arcteryx for the tall option! Words cannot describe how happy you have made this tall chick who has spent years juggling between sizing up, wearing low, men's pants, etc etc. in order to get pants long enough. But these pants I just put them on and BAM. Day made. They look great on my bootay, are long enough for my 36in inseam, fit over snowboard boots easily, are durable as all getup, and never ride down (but just in case you fluctuate in weight like I do, I can use the built in belt whenever). I use these for touring, uphilling, downhilling, lot-chilling, sun-napping, burger-devouring, and even shoveling the driveway during big dumps. Thanks for changing my winter world, Arcteryx. Please don't make talls in more colors, I might not be able to say no. SIZING: I am a large in most brands (Athleta, Patagonia) and got these in a Large Tall. Also, they are not lined, but I only ever wear a very lightweight baselayer and it is enough!

I have had these pants for a few years now and they have been the best ski pant I've owned. They aren't insulated, but they are thick and are excellent for layering, so I can use them nearly year-round (spring vs winter). I could fit in a small but it was a little tight and went with the medium to give me layering flexibility and I love them.

Finally!!! I finally have a pair of ski pants that fit right! They are just loose enough that layering will be perfect, but not too loose to be crazy baggy. The range of motion and movement I have is the best I've ever had.

I tried these out on copper mountain last week and they were incredible. Enough room to wear two base layers, perfect ventilation that's easy to open, and the two front pockets are big enough to store phone and wallet contents! My pair of snow pants I've ever LOVED because they fit my curvy body (5"7') 145 pounds and my but normally doesn't even fit in most pants as I've found they are made for absolutely stick figures humans sometimes. Thanks arc'teryx, per usual :).

Purchased this season's pant, replacing the same model from 2015. The old pants still looked brand new after almost 6 seasons of regular wear. Admittedly I just wanted a new color. Compared to my previous version, I'd say these pants offer more room in the waist and thigh. I purchased Medium (same as before) and find myself cinching the waist belt tighter. I wouldn't say the extra room in the hips make the pants feel baggy, but it's noticeable with specific outstretched movements throughout the day (or getting in the car). I've received compliments that these look more like a freeride pant, and have a flattering silhouette. I layer these with Rho AR tights year round on resort which is perfect. Anything colder than minus 15C I'll add another knicker base layer and feel comfortable. I've used these pants for both skiing and snowboarding and have been extremely happy with my purchase.

I love skiing in these trousers as I barely notice they are there. But they are still durable - not a mark from skiing through trees and branches. A perfect balance of lightweight, durability and athletic fit to allow me freedom on my skis. The vents are a good size and placed further back which keeps the wind out - ideal for ski touring but I also opened them while resort skiing on a warm day. And the pockets are perfectly placed for easy access to a phone or a snack while ski touring or on a chairlift.

These pants are the bomb. They are rugged and tough, but sleek and soft. They are also rugged and tough; just an excellent product.
My friend told me her pants were tight in the waist, so I sized up from a Medium to a Large Short. I have a Kakeela pant in a size 8, but I wanted a loose fit. Many people might not want to size up like I did because I can actually pull them off without unzipping and unsnapping. The self belt holds them up very well.
I love having lots of room. I usually have multiple items in my pants pocket. The pockets are nice and large and the vents are big. I can drive to the mountain and not be annoyed with "hot pants".
I've skied in the rain, powder, cold snow and warm weather conditions the last two weeks. They are excellent.
For sizing and layering: I've used a silk layer; a silk and merino wool layer combo; and I've also used three layers by adding a compression thigh length sport short. I've never been too cold, to hot, or too wet or sweaty. The Sentinel is my new favorite pant! I would recommend them for anyone.

These work great for resort/light backcountry skiing. Haven't tried the touring cuff system, but will do so this weekend. The black ankle cuff/gaiter JUST fits over my ski boot and feels a bit plasticky but so far has held up well and stays in position. I wear with the insulated under-knicker. Fit of the leg is a bit straight/baggy but with a no-stretch fabric, you need room to move. Love the leg pockets design. Paired with the Tiya jacket, lower back is a tiny bit drafty in the tuck position. Going to consider one of the jackets with Slide'n Loc next time. 5'8" 130 size small.

I have worn these 5 times now and they are just amazing. Not only are they extremely comfy and fit absolutely perfect, but they are 100% water proof and warm. The last time I was out it was -10 outside and I only had 2 pairs of leggings on (1 insulated and the other normal) and I didn't even notice the cold. They block the wind, have plenty of pockets, and perfect for skiing in them.
They are versatile as well. I have worn them back country skiing, hiking, resort skiing, and snow machining. I am so happy that I got these for Christmas.

I'm a snowsports instructor who has suffered from soggy butt my entire career. I finally purchased these after 2 recommendations from colleagues. My first test was 2 full driving days of rain from open to close. Pants functioned wonderfully and I stayed perfectly dry the entire time. Kept my phone in my pants pocket with no added protection and it stayed dry as well. After a decade of teaching I never thought this truly possible.
The pants are rugged and cut in a flattering but comfortable manner. They gave my muscular legs and butt enough room to go through all ranges of motion required. The liner is a pleasant texture for bare skin and leaves plenty of room for a baselayer.
My only 2 (very small) suggestions for future versions are:
1) the best attachment point for a lanyard pass is in the lower left leg pocket which requires my to be able to zip/unzip for scanning. As I wear mittens I need to take them off for this bit. If you run RFID, you'll be set.
2) the built in belt occasionally gets twisted and takes a bit of attention to untwist.

I own last year's model, which are functionally identical and spent a whole season as a ski patroller using them as uniform. We really put our gear through a lot... on our knees constantly, dragging equipment around, skiing in the worst conditions imaginable. These pants held up fabulously despite several hundred hours on snow. They still look brand new! I am 5'2",128 lbs, and curvy on the bottom. I got the medium short. The length was perfect and knee is in the right spot. To say these pants are insulated is a stretch - they have a bit of soft flocking on the inside of the Goretex but nothing else. I wear them on -5ish C days with a base layer and polar fleece pants, and add insulated bloomers on really -15 C or lower cold days and nights. For spring skiing +10 C I wore just the pants and base layer. I didn't think I would like pants without built-in fluffy insulation but I really do now. With so many layering options, I can customize for the conditions. The pockets are massive - I can fit nearly half my first aid kit in my thighs. The fit of the pants is generous, including around the lower leg to accommodate boots. Are these the sexiest ski pants I have owned? Nope. The shape on me is similar to paramedic cargo pants. But they are the most practical and durable ski pants I have ever owned. I love the waterproof pocket zippers and side vents a lot, too. They keep water out even in the pouring rain (yup, I ski in that). All in all, a great pair of pants well worth the investment! They hit me at my natural waist and the only downsides are (a) no mesh to keep pow out of side venting, and I've found falling in deep, deep powder I got a bit of snow down my backside if my coat moved up. These are best for resort or backcountry without waist-deep snow. In the deepest pow, you're going to want a pair of bibs, anyway.

Had the older version Sentinel pants bought in the 2017/2018 season and loved the style and fit of them. Plus the humongous pockets that hid their true size by the way they pouched inwards into the natural tapering of your leg rather than outwards like traditional cargo pockets was amazing. Loved the sleek silhouette of those pants.
Tried on the new model and a same labelled size previous model at the same time- new one is definitely a bit bigger size wise which for me meant it looked a bit too baggy and didn't have its sleek style any more. The old model (large) fit me perfectly with the 3/4 pant insulation underneath. New model belt has elastic in the middle of it which means it doesn't hold properly anymore so you'll likely need to buy a separate belt to cinch them in properly. At least it comes with belt loops so you can do this unlike the insulated Arc'teryx pants I have where no matter what I do I can't get them to stay up. Love having the clips for locking in the powder skirt with the sentinel jackets. Not sure why all of the Arc'teryx jackets and pants designed for snow sports don't have the same technology... given it's so small and simply it seems bizarre that only certain items have it. Only time I've actually had a snow skirt work at keeping the snow out (and not ride half way up my back due to my bigger hips/smaller waist). Never even bother doing up the front clips just the ones to attach it to my pants and have never had it fail me even with spectacular stacks in loads of powder.
Both old and new models in a size L Are ok for my height (168cm) and would certainly be ok for people who are a bit taller than me too.
Don't like the new pocket design where it pouches out either, part of the beauty of these pants was that sleek silhouette. Don't mind the one less pocket as always used to forget that the top pocket was there to be honest.
For me the old model is definitely superior and have bought a pair I luckily found on sale in my size and a colour I like. Hoping in a couple of years when it's time for my next set that the design will be back to something that I like.

They improved the measurements from size to size. Last years medium was too tight in the waist and the large were way to big. I'm 5'8" 165 pounds. I'm usually size 10 pant in all Arcteryx so had hard time in their ski pants. This year the medium fits perfect! I matched them to my size 10 Ravenna and they were the same in the waist. Glad they made the adjustments because I know I wasn't the only person complaining, according to the store I regular. The length is perfect and pocket placement is great. It will hold a beacon comfortably. I also like the choice of a belt option if needed. They are a flattering fit as well. I'd love to see these in red in the future.

On my first ascent of the day, after sitting in a gondola at Whistler, my butt was cold, and my underlayer stuck to my bottom from being wet. I was wearing a wool breathable under layer. I think that perhaps these pants are only meant for warm weather. I would not recommend for downhill conditions as they are just not warm enough despite their fuzzy interior finish (which is definitely not a lining)
I do not know what I need to do to address this. Wear another pant underneath?
