I'm a big guy (6'6" and 230lbs), and finding a shoe that is styling and supportive both is a challenge. These fit the bill on both fronts; look great (got the orange and they really smarten up a pair of jeans), and the support is solid (arch, cushioning and lateral movement all) . As other reviews have noted these shoes have a generous toe box, which is good for me but worth noting if you have a narrower foot.

First, kiddos to Zappos logistics as they got me these shoes less than 24 hours after I ordered them in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Now for the actual shoes. As I read while shopping around, I can confirm that these shoes are big, decently larger than normal running shoes. Due to that, they give off a “dad vibe” and I would never wear these other than for the purpose of running. The pictures I uploaded are compared to my 3 year old On Clouds for size comparison and you can see they are substantially larger. The toe box is wide which works for me because I feel I’m too wide for a regular shoe and too narrow for a wide shoe. I never buy anything other than normal width shoes size wide shoes are way too wide, and I often feel the side of my feet bunch against the side walls. These shoes are comfortable when running. The dual layer of clouds is nice if you’re a runner whose heel hits first as I do. No matter how much I try to alter, I always resort back to a natural heel, toe, heel, toe stride when running and my heels would hurt after runs of 5 miles or more. After a 5 mile run the other day, no heel pain. Since the shoe is bigger, you can notice the additional weight compared to other On shoes, and the back of the shoe rides higher up the heel. My heel was rubbed raw after my first run while wearing no show socks. During my second run, I wore low cut socks as opposed to no shows, and I didn’t tighten the top laces as tight and didn’t have an issue with the heel. I’m going to keep them but I will probably go back to the normal sized On shoes after I wear these out. I will update if anything changes.

I am a marathoner and an On user (I usually wear Cloud X). Truthfully, I was reluctant to purchase this shoe because it is much heavier than the other On models. The purchase price was pretty discouraging too. However, I feel compelled to write this review because I am very pleased with the product. My legs feel a lot less beat up on my long runs and loving the extra cushion on this model. Each step feels a lot of lighter and my normal runs feel easier. Please note that I found this model a little bit bigger than other On counterparts ... the toe-box is pretty big. I went a half-size down.

Fantastic feel. I new the moment I tried them on that these were good. They spoke to me so to say. I have never felt that way trying on any running shoe. Normally I run in Brooks or Asics, or Newton's. These did not disappoint, they are now my favorite shoe of all time. I bought a ladies pair for my daughter aswell since I liked them. She feels the same. Awesome for sure.... I have runs over #32 half marathon on other shoes, and look forward to making this my now go to shoe.

I have wide feet and overpronate. I used to wear Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 (wide, 10.5), but they redesigned a lot in the new model that I didn’t like. I LOVE these. They’re super comfortable and fit my wide feet. They’re obviously not sprinting shoes, but they’re the fastest stability shoes I’ve ever worn. I can really take off with them. I’ve been able to do both regular runs and HIIT workouts with them, splendidly. The Swiss design shows through in a lot of way but especially the colors. I was nervous about how the pistachio might look but they’re great.

My first pair of On's. Comfortable right out of the box, very supportive. A generous toebox which I really like. I'm 6'6" and 230 lbs, and hard on shoes, but these stood up to my beating. Reasons for the 4 star overall rating: 1. The shoes do need some reinforcement at the point above the last lace eyelet, the fabric wore down there quickly 2. I just put 5 miles on these and here are my thoughts: they are a lot wider and bigger than other On models (see photos with my On Clouds from 4 years ago). I like having a little more wiggle room in the toe box when I run, so that is a plus for me. I bought these because I loved my first pair of Ons, but as a bigger guy, just over 200lbs, I am not the demographic for On running shoes built for 140 lb competitive runners. These advertised more cushion for average, leisure runners, and they do have a lot of spring and soaked up shocks from my heels as I am a person who hits the pavement heel first: heel, toe, heel, toe. I wore complete no show socks, but the back of the right shoe rubbed my Achilles raw, just the right. I will probably adjust the shoestring tightness or wear higher socks. Overall, a good shoe but maybe not worth $180. I wouldn’t have any issues with price if they were in the $130-$140 range, but I guess you have to pay for the second layer of cushion.

I have suffered with foot pain for quite some time. I require a shoe that offers a wide toe-box, comfort & removable insole (orthotics). These shoes fit the bill. Truly believe in the On brand concept. Wish there were styles I could wear to the office...although, I do slip these on while working. It is tough to find a shoe that works for me as I am very active. These are absolutely the best sneakers I’ve purchased in years. Worth the money...

Read all the reviews so I ordered a pair. Wore them for 5 minutes in my house. One was ok but the other felt like it had a lump just behind my toes. It hurt my foot immediately. Returning them. Have to be the worse feeling shoes I have ever had.

Very light and comfortable.

Fit is perfect, and they are some of the most comfortable shoes right out of the box I've ever purchased.

Best walking shoe ever for a girl with a bunion!

It has a wider toe box than the other running shoes from ON. I like that..more room for toes on the push off when running. I have normal Size feet (not narrow or wide) and The fit is amazing and they feel supportive when you put them on. The shoe is a bit bigger for a running shoe but it’s all in the support. I run a mix of 4-7mi almost everyday of week, and my legs would get tired over the days and lower back. I’ve run for three days in these and I have no pain. Best running shoe I’ve tried on and can’t wait to run half marathon in a couple of months with them!

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

These shoes are light and provide great support. Narrow heel and wide toe box. Love being able to buy a color other then black or gray!

Perfect shose ever

Did a 20 mile run in my new pair a few days ago. Went great. Highly recommend this brand for running and the Cloudstratus specifically for wide feet.

These are great shoes for support. A little wider than expected but very comfortable.

Shoe size is true, and the shoe is quite snug in the foot. I’m a fan of that, personally. My feet get hot when I run, and these help to keep me cool.

Shoes feel great. Great support. Able to stand on my feet for long work days.

After three tries found the right size. Lightweight and comfortable. Lacks support and callouses are a result. I walk 4+ miles 5 times a week.

This is a high end athletic shoe for sure. A bit cushy with a spacious toe box but perfect for power walking. Good looking too!
