I took a chance on buying these boots online and am glad I did. I had never tried arcteryx footwear before purchasing these boots. I have been wearing them daily for over a month now. For me, these are extremely comfortable, great on the trails and where they really shined was when I was navigating some treacherous slippery waterfall areas during a hike. The grip was/ is excellent. My feet are comfortable, dry and happy. I have tossed my other boots and will be a repeat customer for footwear. Very pleased.

They look great and seem a bit more high-end than my other hiking boots. They are very comfortable and feel almost feel moulded to my feet and. I was delighted to be ready to hike after just one day of wear around the city. My first weekend wearing them I covered 60K hiking in the Alps both on trail and off, and it didn't feel like a new pair of boots. Pretty incredible. Performance has been awesome as well. They are comfortable uphill and downhill. Sole is stiff enough to provide support and the grib is rock solid. These boots have become my new go tos in multiple types of terrain. Hiking in the Alps, going for long walks in the forest or cruising through the Copenhagen in the fall. Only minus is the shoe laces. They appear too synthetic and "slippery" and easily untie unless they are secured with a double bow / knot.

Good light-weight hiking boots. Grippy. Roomy toe box. I wear these for easy summer hikes as I prefer a stiffer boot for rough terrain or a heavy pack. This is my second pair; the first pair I had an incident where my lace caught the hook of the other boot, wiped me out and tore off the hook. Since the hook hasn't changed, lesson learned: when tying your laces make the loop small so it can't get caught on the other boot! Fits on the large side. Overall I would recommend.

I have only used once outdoors. Defo not for urban use as it is too stiff to casually walking around. I have not yet have the opportunity to fully explore them boots in harsher conditions. Use it on the hills in Peak district.

My husband bought this for me for my birthday in July. I got to try this boots out during the recent bomb cyclone in B.C. It was waterproof, light weight and very comfortable. Did not have to break it in. I had walked miles in it. The colour is good. Looks good with jeans as well as skirt.

They are super comfortable, but true, they are not quite waterproof around the tongue. But I have done hiking in the summer, fall and winter, and they worked just fine.

I bought the Acrux TR GTX boots a month ago. They are comfortable from the start with no break-in period needed. Plenty of room in footbed with wide toe box. Grippy sole for rock scrambling. Very waterproof for stream crossing. Great foot stabiity for up and down hill terrain. My only issue is that the collar of boot is too low such that trail debris easily sneaks in. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE these boots.

I owned two pairs of Bora before I got this one. The Acrux fits great, true to size, comfortable...but 1) it would be helpful if it is higher. I loved the Boras, because they held my bad ankle better, like a rock. The Acrux is just good, but not great.
2) The terrible laces! They are self untying every half km of walk. I will have to replace them with different brand. I am loosing my patience.

Comfy but not durable at all. Have had these for about a year and the layer on top of the laces has fallen off, the rubber around the toes has torn, they are no longer waterproof. It's a shame because I really like them but I don't think it's reasonable to buy a new pair of boots every year

I've had this shoe for a year now and it's my go to winter/waterproof boot. The fitting is quite narrow, and I often find my feet hurting after wearing it for a full day. I also find that the traction of these boots on ice is not that great, considering it's quite heavy and I don't use spikes. I used it for tree planting and waded through water with it, and it held up great!

I've had these boots for a year now, and have been happy with their fit they are comfortable, light, and do well in dry or lightly wet conditions. And I was very happy to have a leather-free option! However, these boots are not waterproof - my gauge is that the tongue is not waterproof? If you're trekking through mud, I wouldn't recommend these. I used these with full gaiters on the west coast trail, and my feet were sopping wet in these after a rainy day on the trail. They were totally soaked through - I actually had to wrung out water from the insoles.
A good boot for dry conditions, but was expecting more from the goretex and apparent waterproofness. I wouldn't buy these if you do lots of wet Pacific Northwest hiking.

I purchased my Acrux boots back in June. The boots are extremely comfy, look great, and are very waterproof. However, the boot already looks pretty beat up and I've only owned them for 5-6 months. I would understand this if I spent the last half year hardcore hiking in them, yet I've only worn them at work, which just involves walking around on concrete floors. The lamination at the bottom of the boot is separating and I fear soon water will leak into the boots. Though they are great looking and comfortable boots, I worry that they will fail me much sooner than my Bora's did (which lasted 3 years).

Bought this boot back in 2020. Used on several week long hiking trips. Once they are wet inside, it is near impossible to dry them. I spent a few hours with a blow-dryer and could not dry them. This causes issues for my feet on longer/wet trips. I still do like how light they are for day missions scrambling/hiking.

I ended up getting these boots because my newly purchased Bora Mid GTX were not waterproof. Through arcteryx, the Bora were taken back but then the same boot was discontinued. This was the only boot they had which came close to what I had previously owned so I had no choice but to get them. I don't like this boot, it is nothing like the Bora. The tongue always pops out and if I try to lace up the boots so they are snug, they pinch badly in so many spots. For some reason, this boot kicks up a tremendous amount of water onto my calves. I have never experienced this with any boot and have to wear gaiters or waterproof pants to keep my legs dry. I have mentioned the boots to arcteryx lovers and they have all said the same thing, don't buy a boot from this company! they have not nailed down a proper design. they don't make them well. it makes me sad to hear that, as I stand by the technical wear and have owned two ski coats, ski pants and other items. I am stuck with these but plan on writing arcteryx to tell them how unsatisfying they are to wear. I am hoping to get a full refund or some sort of store credit.

I'm reviewing these after having 2 pairs in the last 5 years. The first pair started to leak within a year so Arc'teryx replaced them free of charge. The second pair started leaking a little more than a year later, and I've just put up with it rather than shell out for new boots.
This is the 4th winter this pair has been through and for all intents and purposes they've fallen apart. Huge cracks in both sides of the toe area, multiple lace loops have broken so the laces are barely going through any loops. Just looking at a patch of wet grass will soak your socks through wearing these. Daily dog walks killed them in no time. Can anyone recommend a different brand of vegan walking boots worth buying?

Do NOT buy these boots. While they look sleek and are very light, in practice, they lose their waterproof qualities super quickly. And I mean: your socks will be totally wet. Thankfully I wear a lot of wool socks! The laces shredded after a few months. For the price, I would have expected years of quality and sustained use (which is what I've experienced with other brands). I tried to return or exchange the boots but it'd been longer than a year, so I had no luck with the service department. That was about how long they lasted with any sort of water resistance. Buyer beware.

I can't add photo documentation because the defect in my pair of shoes is not visible. I bought shoes in one of the stores in Poland in October 2022. Size, cut, color, design everything seemed to be perfect until the first walk.
Feet in these shoes are so sore as if they were put in a vice. Regardless of loosening the binding. After an hour, the pain subsides slightly, but these are some of the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn.
In addition to all this, there is very poor grip of the sole on wet surfaces, which makes the shoes practically useless in the autumn and winter season, they are as slippery as ice skates, which is very dangerous on mountain trails.
Unfortunately, the seller did not take into account my complaint, informing that the shoes do not have a manufacturing defect, discomfort is a subjective feeling and the shoes are suitable for further use.
I'm disappointed because I won't be able to walk in them even around my place of residence, let alone on 30-kilometre trips in the mountains, so they will end up in the closet, and they weren't cheap.

I have recently bought these boots after a strong recommendation for my husband who has the men's version and said that his were like walking in slippers. Well mine were far from slippers more like instruments of torture. The pain in my feet whilst and post wearing these was so bad i was near to tears. Before you ask is the sizing correct? Yes it is. These boots are agony and I now have boots I can not wear and have wasted a lot of money. So upset

I replaced my Bora boots with the new Acrux and found the grip to be far superior on rocky terrain, unfortunately the construction is poor quality and have split on the creasing, it would be amazing if the bora boot could be remodelled with the new sole of the Acrux, this would make a super boot which would rival most other competitors, I miss my Bora boots and find myself trailing the internet looking for a replacement.
