I can't recommend these shoes at all. The area inside the shoe where the zipper and laces come together are cumbersome and it all hits right where the foot bends and they rub on to top inside of your foot. It's not noticeable the first hour or so, but after a long day they are really uncomfortable.

Fit pretty much true to size..like several others said in their reviews, I put mole skin in the back of the shoe to stop the rubbing. I think this will go away when the leather softens. Of note..I changed the laces to a beige color. The original brown laces looked too flat to me. Changing the laces make the boots look more modern and interesting.

I actually bought and returned this shoe from another retailer: it was stiff, I thought it fit poorly, too rigid, etc. Then I bought a different pair of Vionic shoes and discovered that my arches really appreciate the Vionic support....so I tried again. This time, I completely unlaced the shoe, put in my foot in a thick sock, and re-laced around my foot. DRAMATIC difference in feel....I guess these laces don't slide much, as I was unable to adjust the original pair very much at all. Now, re-laced, I still had to wear these all-leather boots for two or three days to break them in. They're still fairly stiff/sturdy, but I expect them to continue to soften with wear. Can't speak to the water resistance yet. They're going with me on a long trip abroad, and I will appreciate the zip-up convenience while on the go. Give em a try, but remember that they will need breaking in. (I think some ppl have forgotten how real leather behaves?)

I'm shocked! A shoe that absolutely fits my very strange feet with the arch in exactly the right place and the size 11 actually an 11 1/2 which for the most part doesn't exist. It's a little tight for my one foot - small toe bunion - but with natural leather who cares. After spending a fortune on shoes that don't fit and sending back here's a shoe that actually doesn't make my foot look like a ducks without the dreaded "big toe bump" on my larger foot. And so very comfortable ( except for the width, a teeny bit). Sweet!

These shoes felt comfortable on my picky feet. I put them on and ended up wearing them all day, no issues. Even my neuroma was happy, without my having to put a metatarsal pad in them. I never felt any plantar fasciitis (both feet) twinges, either. I bought an 8.5. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5, but always a 9 in sneaker-like shoes, which I consider these to be. So I agree that they run a little long, and for me that is a good thing. My feet are on the narrow side, and these shoes are fully adjustable with the laces, but then a quick on and off with the functional zippers. I wondered if they would irritate my ankles, but I quickly got used to the tops touching my ankles, no problem with that. I recommend these shoes, may get another pair because they feel so good on my feet.

I love these boots!! I bought them in the brown color. They are even prettier in person!! I can’t wait for fall to come so I can really get to use these a lot! But.. I have worn them already a few times, and they don’t make your feet hot at all. And so comfortable!

It’s always a miracle for me to find comfortable shoes and these were. They were super comfortable but do not tighten on ankle so it’s more a fashion/moderate walking around town show than a ton of walking or exploring. But cute, soft, so great even with problem feet—wide in front and narrow heel. I did not keep as I tried on several pairs and they’re expensive but they are great shoes! Side note: the slate grey looks very olive green in person.

I love the fit! I didn’t even break these in! There is not any part of the shoe that is rubbing me wrong and I have had zero discomfort. I am on my feet for the larger part of the day and I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

These shoes are really cute and comfy. I had no trouble with the ankle rubbing. I also like the zip - no need to tie laces every time!

I have problem feet (big, flat, arthritic ...) and was wondering what to do when the weather turned colder and I couldn't wear my chaco sandals. I have had VIONIC flip flops in the past but VIONIC shoes or boots for my size 12 feet were very limited. I saw that the Shawna boots came in a size 12 and the reviews were good so decided to take a chance. They were on my doorstep as I left to grocery shop today...put them on and still have them on 9 hours later and they feel wonderful. Will get them in another color!!! Thank you VIONIC for more "big feet" options.

Fun shoe. Super cute! I like the zip up option. Great arch support, however it is because of the removable insert. If the arch flattens out you could easily replace it with another. Looking forward to wearing these shoes on a trip.

A little narrow but worked itself out, a little longer, perfect for me, with wonderful arch support - been living in them these past few months so I figured, why not buy another! So I did! Great shoes!

This is my 2nd pair of Vionic shoes and I love them. I’ve had major problems with pain when walking and these shoes help me to walk with less pain.

I love the style of these so much that I was willing to splurge on what is (for me) a very expensive shoe. Very cute on, and even my husband commented that he likes them. In the tan color, they look like a cross between a construction work shoe and a high-top sneaker - looks great with jeans. I typically wear a 9 medium shoe, sometimes a wide. I ordered both the 9M and 9W. The 9W was too big overall, even with fairly thick socks. The 9M is very comfortable, but maybe a half size long. It's not long enough to bother returning for a smaller size, especially since I will be wearing them with thicker socks.

If they had my size in black, I might have kept these. Love the casual style, the fact that the really go on by zipping (not tying) and fit my medium-wide feet well. Just not the right color for my wardrobe.

I immediately loved these out of the box! Very very comfortable. I have foot and toe issues and have had to send other shoes/boots back. These have plenty of room. I didn’t know if I would like the white sole but I adore these shoes/boots...look great with my leggings and skinny jeans....I am still considering a second pair in another color. If you have foot issues or just want a cool pair of shoes..choose these.?

Most comfortable shoes I have bought in a long time. Was able to wear them all day without breaking them in...no rubbing or pinching anywhere. Arch support is exactly what you expect from Vionic.

I have plantar fascitiis and these are the only shoes I've been able to wear lately that don't leave me in pain. My back feels better and my feet are less sore. I don't usually wear a Wide shoe, but that was the only thing available in my size and I am so glad because they really work well for me. I wear them with thick socks and at first I used an ankle support wrap. I've been able to remove the ankle support and now am just wearing the shoe as is. Plus the gray color looks cool and they look great with a straight leg or skinny jeans. So happy with these shoes and to finally have some relief.

I have terrible feet so when I received these shoes I didn't try them on because I didn't think they would fit.WOW was I wrong. They are almost perfect a little tight on might big toe but should stretch bet leather. I have one foot that is always swollen because of lymph node removal no right foot is swollen because of tibial break. Anyway they fit and I love the zipper. I loosened up the laces to make them wider. The arch support is also wonderful. First time I have bought this brand won't be the last. Thanks Zappo you are the only place I can but big wide shoes. I've had dozens of Vionic shoes the last several years. I've loved all the sandal styles, but the closed-toe shoes have never worked for me, either too short or too tight in the toe box .... until these! I normally wear 6.5 in Vionic sandals, but I bought these in 7W to accommodate socks. The fit if perfect and the comfort is extraordinary. This may be the first time I have EVER bought ANY shoes that didn't require break-in time. I'm a teacher and on my feet all day. I've worn them they've only gotten more comfortable. I can't recommend these any more highly! I bought the brown and they are very stylish. I'd love to order another color, but due to the price that will have to wait.

Loved this shoe, but i have a wide foot and needed the 6.5 in a wide.

These look even nicer in person than the photos, slimming and not clunky. I wish they were a bit wider considering I did order a wide. I would buy more Vionics if they offered more of the cute styles in wide widths. I normally take a wide in their athletic shoes and this style felt narrow. This looks a little dressier and I like the water proof material.

My shoe size varies from a 7 to a 7.5. I ordered the 7.5 figuring if I wore thicker socks, it would be better. I wish I'd ordered the 7, so keep that in mind. That being said, the 7.5 still works for me. It's got enough arch support that I felt it the first few times I wore the boots. They are comfortable and I really like the way they look. Very happy with them.

I always wear Vionic 7W or 6&1/2 W. Ordered 7W, they were a whole size too long. Than tried 6&1/2 we’re still too long and the heel slipped up. Tried a 6 W , width was too narrow. Strangest sizing on this one.... I guess this shoe was not meant to be for me... too bad it’s really cute.
