Excellent jacket and fits perfectly. I took it to south america for their winter (Buenos Aires / Montevideo in July) and while I don't ski, the versatility of the jacket is what I loved. On warmer days I wore the puffer on its own, and on windy colder days I used both layers (they zip into each other). I found the sleeves don't get lost in the layers if you snap in the sleeves. I love how many pockets this coat has (and this was a big reason I chose this model over others at patagonia). There are zipping pockets on both layers (on the outer shell the right pocket has a clip for keys on the inside, too). And I especially liked the left breast pocket on the inside of the puffer shell useful for passports and tickets and extra cash that you want accessible. One adjustment I'd suggest is the sleeves of the puffer (they're lined with a lighter grey color at the wrists if u get the black one) I wish they were the same color as the black puffer because they get dingy quickly :)

I took this jacket to Antarctica and I was perfectly comfortable and dry, even when spray cam over the front of the zodiac. I wore a wool tanktop and and 1 heavy wool base layer underneath and that was plenty.

This is the first Columbia product that I don't absolutely love. The front velcro closures snag everything when the jacket is open. EVERYTHING -- clothes I'm wearing underneath, anything in my hands, even lighter weight gloves. Don't even think about wearing a scarf. I bent over to unbuckle snow shoes, stood up and the velcro had fastened itself together in mis-matched fashion making my jacket completely askew -- I had to rip the jacket open, one piece had actually caught on my base layer, and, of course, the wool hat in my hand ended up sticking and I had to rip that off as well. It was a total comedy routine. I've even tried filing the velcro down with an emery board to make it less tacky. I don't wear this casually as it has snagged sweaters just putting it on. Other than that, this is a great jacket - great pockets, comfy, keeps you warm, runs a little small so if you want a thicker layer underneath, order a size up. I do wish it had an insulated hood for when I'm not skiing. I've never had issues with velcro before - and I couldn't find any other reviews complaining about the velcro snagging. Maybe I need to give it more time. It is a great jacket -- when it's closed.

Very warm and feels high quality! I wish the inside coat was a little longer so I could feel comfortable wearing it alone. Color is unique!

I got this jacket on sale for skiing, and it was perfect! It kept me nice and warm, and it is visible on the mountain. I used both layers while skiing with just a base layer underneath, and it kept me the perfect temp. If you want to wear another jacket underneath, it may be a little snug, but a sweatshirt or less would work fine! I'm usually a size small and I found the jacket true to size.

I like to try different gear to figure out what I like best, and I love this jacket. I mostly use it for skiing but it also works as a regular jacket and I've taken it ice climbing. I love that the shell zips off from the puffer, it's three jackets in one! The quality is great and I love the color. It's not bulky even though it has that puffy layer which I love.

I am in between sizes, and wasn't sure how the sizing would be so I chose M. There is a bit of room for 2 more base layers with the M but anything more than 1 base will likely feel too constricting in terms of movement. Overall the sizing is more fitting as opposed to roomy, which is true to description and purpose as a ski jacket. The white inner fleece is also warm on its own, very easy to remove and zip on.

I love this jacket. It is very cute, very warm, very versatile, very comfortable and lightweight, and very well made (high quality). Couldn't really ask for anything more. Oh, and the colors are gorgeous! I'm 5'2", 125lb, 36A with broad shoulders and wear this jacket in XS.

Love. Wish more colors were available in my size. 5'2" about 145# and medium fit great. Inner jacket is lightweight and very warm. Outer jacket is a bit big but not to where it's a problem.

It's an excellent jacket. The only thing wrong is that the seam for the arms makes it kind of tight around your under arm area

Warm with excellent wind and water resistance. The jacket is stylish and versatile with zip-out liner if you just need a weather shell or a lighter jacket. Highly recommend.

The Omni heat in this 3-in-1 ski jacket makes the best combo for a perfect winter must have. The inner jacket keeps you warm in cold days and also stylish. Those days that it's cold and wet the jacket with a hood is perfect. Now you have those cold ski days, have no worry this must have will have you protected.

I'm very happy with the fit. I will wear it skiing in March and we'll see how warm it is. With the zip out inner jacket, I expect to have a lot of options! I like the color and pattern too!

I am happy with this jacket. With previous 3-in-1 jackets I've tried, I felt that the non-waterproof layer often looks bad when worn by itself. With this jacket, however, the non-waterproof underneath layer looks really cute on its own! Makes the cost feel more worth it because I will wear that layer on its own nearly daily, when I don't need the waterproof part. Fit: I am 5'8" 220lbs and ordered an XXL. I am usually an XL (but sometimes a double X). I erred on sizing up so I could layer underneath. I would describe it as true-to-size. If I didn't have a bulky fleece to wear underneath to ski, the XL would have been a perfect fit. The XXL is a tad large when worn without my bulky fleece underneath, but not so much that it looks silly. Re: 3-in-1 function, the two layers of the jacket go together really easily - not a pain at all to add or remove the inner/outer layers from each other. Re appearance: I didn't LOVE any of the color choices (almost removed a star but, in the end, decided that didn't matter much. I am happy enough with the midnight blue like color). As far as warmth, we've been having a warm winter here in AZ (30s and above) so I can vouch that it's been warm enough for that, but haven't tested it on our frigid Michigan ski trip yet! However, can confirm it has kept me dry in the snow/rain/grapple/slush. It has reflective on the inside of the inside layer which should also help warmth. I suppose I wish it was real down, but I don't even really know why.

I absolutely love this coat. I normally wear 2X but I ordered a 3X and love the size it is. It allows more room for multiple layers and doesn't make me feel like the kid from A Christmas Story. The colors are great and it has kept me warm on walks that are in the teens. I normally don't use the hoods on my jackets, but I have been zipping it up all the way and using the hood and it keeps my neck and ears warm. I would definitely buy this coat again.

Great Jacket! I'm a full-time dogwalker and recently walked dogs wearing this jacket in 15-20 degree weather and it kept me so warm! The omnitech heat technology is absolutely worth it! I am able to wear a single layer shirt or long sleeve and just throw this jacket on and the tech keeps my body temp neutral and I don't sweat! The pockets are deep and fit a great deal of stuff and I love the front chest pocket for easy access phone or sunglasses. Durable and smooth zippers. I love the inter change aspect. if I get cold sitting inside a restaurant I can simply unzip the inner lining and throw it on without having to contend with the bulkiness of the rest of the jacket at a dinner table.

Looked at many comparables and this jacket has all the fancy features of what I wanted in a ski jacket but much lower cost. So far so good!
