I feel that these shoes are roomier in the front of the foot area. They are as supportive as the other two pair I have. I am not a runner, I wear them because I have medical foot problems. I would like to purchase one of the other colors of the 14 Style. Are they the same width in the foot toe area as the gray ones are? I do love Brooks Shoes!

These shoes were nicely made. Fit was true to size. However after only a few hours around the house my left foot started to feel numb. I think the toe box was to low as I have hammer toes worse in that foot and they we’re getting squeezed. Sorry had to return. Thanks Zappos for your patience in helping me find the right soon. Hopefully I will soon. Your the best...

These are great for my narrow feet. Thank goodness Brookes is still making narrow running shoes. I wear between an 8.5 & 9 running shoe and the 8.5 fit perfectly. The style is not bad. It would be nice to have some jazzier color choices.

Find this shoe very comfortable. Provides enough cushion and stability without over correction.

I was so glad to see an extra-wide women's shoe. I wanted to love this shoe. But, it did not work out. It seems like the shoe is designed for someone with feet that are wide throughout. I need a wide and tall toe box due to foot surgeries. But I have a normal instep and heel. The biggest problem was that with my orthotic insole, my foot was too high in the heel. When you combined the height with a general looseness in the heel, I had heel slippage. I was also disappointed that the laces were so short. It also was a bit short -- maybe not a full half-size, but close. It seems like a well-made shoe.
Thanks to Zappos for making my shoe hunt possible. I feel guilty for ordering so many in the hunt for ones that fit.

Fit is ok and since going up a half size a few years ago size is ok, too. I have felt that over the last few years the material has become much cheaper and less sturdy. Last year, in fact, I found the Addiction 13 to have the stitching break on both shoes on the outside at the front of the toes above the front bumper piece. This year it is even more cheaply made without the front bumper at all and just the material so there is no reinforcement for wear over the toe area. I feel that the price is very high for a cheaply made shoe compared to when I had my first pair of Addictions many years ago. At that time the shoes were made with a sturdy mesh and leather. The arch support has also declined and is not as raised and sturdy as when I first purchased them on the recommendation of my podiatrist due to my plantar fasciitis. Very disappointed in the quality of a once highly rated shoe!

Haven't looked into any other brands yet, but might have to do so if the Addiction 14 doesn't stand

Years ago my Seattle podiatrist told me that a shoe stable enough for plantar fasciitis will not bend at the toe at all nor twist on the axis more than a tiny bit. "Wear a very stiff running shoe. Every 6 months, take out the insole and then bend and twist the shoe. If it does, it is time to replace." Back then every good running shoe over $100 was very stiff. This $129.95 Addiction shoe bends and twists right out of the box. My current pair, Brooks' Ariel 18, were very stable right out of the box and are currently more stable than these. The Brooks Ariel 20 EE width in the light gray was out of stock, so I tried these Addictions. Not gonna work for me; I sent them back.

I've been running in the Addiction series for the last 6+ years and always found them to be exactly what I need in terms of support/motion control. However, with the 14, Brooks seems to have sacrificed stability for looks, as this shoe isn't nearly as bulky as past models but no longer has the support. My joints hurt after runs over 4 miles. Really hoping that Brooks brings back the stability and cushion, even if it means giving up some of the style.

My previous shoe was a Brooks Addiction 13 - 8.5 Wide. Perfect fit. Ordered the newer, Brooks Addiction 14 - 8.5 Wide, and found it much too wide across ball of foot and heel. Excessive width to the point the ball of foot fabric was folding over on itself and my feet were not stable in the shoes even when laced through all the eyelets. Customer service has authorized a return and I have ordered the Brooks Addiction 14 - 8.5 Medium.

I ordered the same size I have been since the last style change in the Addiction, 7.5 2E. The 14s are a lot bigger than the 13s. I have tried running in them, and they are definitely too big. I am not sure if it's just the width or length as well. Because of my wide feet, I usually cannot try the shoes on in a store. If you can try on the shoes ahead of time, please do. The body of the 14s are different from the 13s.

Typically I wear a 9N in a running shoe. I ordered both a 9N and 9.5N in the Addiction The 9.5N were too big and didn’t feel like a narrow. 9N pushed my foot forward to the end of the shoe while walking. I returned both pair

After filling out the survey to get the best matched shoes, these shoes have not done any better then my other pairs. These are suppose to have high arch support and they do not. Also suppose to have more cushion inside shoe, they do not. Not happy with this purchase.

I have been purchasing Addictions for almost 15 years and this is the first time I returned them. The Addiction 14 is not the same shoe as prior versions. I have flat feet and I could instantly tell this shoe did not have the same arch support. Very disappointing considering this was my go-to shoe for so long!

I've been wearing this shoe for years. I had trouble with plantar fasciitis and this was recommended by a local shoe sports gear place. I wear a narrow width and appropriate them being available

Love the shoe. Love Brooks. This shoe doesn't cause me any hip pain. As a PE Teacher, running around with my students and standing for long days they never disappoint.

Great support, as I have narrow, long feet, and severe overproduction. Great fit. I really don't run anymore because of knee instability, although am very active, walk. Chose running shoes for good cushioning.

Very comfortable , the only sneaker I could find in a narrow width , fit me perfectly . Is a light color , so a little hard to keep clean .
