Great shoes, very comfortable and keep my feet dry, standing in a bucket truck most of the day.

They seem to be waterproof. Not a rainy season yet. As the reviews I read said, they squeak when you walk. Well, only one of mine squeaks. But they fit the same way as regular ghosts.

Fit was true to size. Im usually a 9.5 but if shoes fit tight in the toe box ill take a 10. A 9.5 in this shoe was true to size for me and a good fit. Style and comfort was good but for whatever reason my foot didnt feel 'cinched' down around the heel. I really wanted these to work especially because of the implementation of goretex in it.

My go to running shoe, I've been a fan for a while now. The most recent pair I bought haven't been quite as good, but overall my experience with this shoe has been great.

I own multiple pairs of the Non-GTX Ghost 12s. I enjoy them but they do take some breaking in versus my old Ghosts or Adrenalines. The GTX version runs smaller by at least 0.5 size. I am a size 12 in the non-GTX, and ordered the same in this pair. I’ll have to order the 12.5 to evaluate because the 12 is much tighter than the non-GTX. From my examination it seems they just sewed the goretex liner in to the standard. Too narrow and squeezes the foot more. And if you are going to wear trail wool socks or winter socks, size up. I love Brooks but have struggled recently with their fit. Adrenaline’s used to be my standard for years, but they have not fit in the last several iterations. I have never fit in Cascadia, they do not fit my feet. Ghosts have gone from being too cushioned, to just right, to now edging back towards too cushioned. My feet: average size, lower arch but not flat. Can be a wide in some shoes, but normally not.

Every year I get a new pair of the Brooks Ghost GTX, this is my 4th pair. I own many pairs of Brooks Ghost shoes that are non GTX, that I use to run and workout in. The GTX shoes I use to work in, since they are water resistant. I love these shoes, although this pair took several days to break in and may need a couple more. Typically I put on the Ghost shoes and they feel great from the start. I believe the GTX liner is slightly different and this is cause the break in period.

Love them! Runs a tad big compared to my standard ghost 11. Super comfy and great on wet days.

The goretex is great for the cold damp days. Compared to my Ghost10's the 12's have a blunt toe and the heel is stiffer and don't feel as fleet afoot. Very sturdy and sure though and better on trails than the 10's

Not my style, too much shoe. Not a bad road shoe, they feel heavy and constricting. I'm a PureConnect/PureGrit person. Just didn't work for me.

Great looking shoe with black foam. I have been wearing them to my office instead of casual shoes. Good feel and reasonably light for a gore tex trainer. The reason for only 3 stars is the noise. These shoes sound like flip flops. Each step makes the same repeated noise. Running outsiders I wouldn't care but walking inside is just way too noisy. Not many gore tex shoes out there so I will keep these anyway.

I found this shoe to be far less comfortable than the prior iteration of the Ghost GTX and my countless other pairs of Adrenalines. I'd estimate that I had an initial 30 miles of real foot pain while breaking them in and they are still just ok comfort-wise thereafter. On the bright side they are incredibly warm and dry.

They hurt the bottom of my feet and if I wear them for a long time, I find them to get very tiresome to wear. Also, right out of the box, my right foot gets wet when it rains just like my old ones did. Left foot stays dry. How can a shoe with a million holes in the fabric be waterproof? Wish I picked up on that sooner, but too late now to return them. Not made to be worn everyday and that's what I wanted but didn't get.

Pros: Feet stay nice and warm in winter. I have been doing lots of miles in mine and they offer good cushioning and support Cons: They are VERY noisy. The GTX lining is stiff so makes a crumbling noise as you run. Doesn't feel comfortable on the upper material where the GTX is. Not waterproof - ok for running on wet roads but even shallow puddles I was leaking water through the material

Does not keep the water out at all. Socks get wet each time. Maybe I got a bad pair. Fit and feel is 4.5 star.

It's a good shoe, nice and stylish. It just doesn't work with my feet. Also it's not as padded as I thought it would be.

Had these shoes about 6 months. They started falling apart about 2 months in. The rubber on the sole has come off here and there making an uneven walking/jogging experience. Needless to say I’m disappointed with these shoes, especially given the price.

First let me say I have a pair of Brooks Glycerins that I love, but the Ghost 12 GTX was awful. I really wanted a GoreTex version of the Glycerins. Took them for my first walk and I thought that they would be a bit of a break in, but by the end of my second walk I had blisters all over both feet. The back of the heel felt like it had sharp edge inside. They also felt too narrow. Sending back and will keep looking.

I got blisters from this shoe. I don't think it is a good running shoe. I run 10 to 18 miles regularly. I think it is a better everyday use shoe.

Unfortunately I'm not a fan of these. I really wanted to like them but they feel really heavy and not very pliable,. Continually pinch my outer toes.

Not nearly as good as my old favorite Ghost 10 GTX. For one thing, this is the noisiest Brooks running shoe I've ever owned- even my husband hears it clunk, only in one foot, mind you. And the padding is woefully inadequate compared to the Ghost 10 GTX. It's an unfortunate evolution away from what was a nearly perfect design to one that will require expensive insoles to make it useable, and even then I expect it to clunk upon flexing.

Definitely not waterproof. I was excited that my go-to trainer was available in GTX. But, a 9 mile run in rainy conditions was a disappointment. My feet were soaked and it seemed like the Gore membrane had been reversed, letting in the moisture and keeping it in. I still love the Ghost but will not buy the GTX version again.

Definitely not waterproof. I was excited that my go to shoe was available in GTX. After a 9 mile run in the rain, my feet were soaked and the shoes were waterlogged. I should have saved some money and just purchased the standard Ghost.
