I'm not sure how I feel about these shoes. I have a wide foot and the width is good but the toe has a hard rubber bumper that runs up over the top front of the shoe and that hardness presses down on the top of my big toenail. I worry that this feature will cause pain over time. My big toe is 3/8" - 1/2" from the tip of the shoe which is the rule for proper fit.

Great fit and comfortable toe area. I was skeptical with the previous reviews and toe comments, however a perfect fit is no understatement. I’d buy 20 more of this style/fit and the grips are actually very aggressive looking. I’d recommend buying/ no disappointment here!

There is no way these shoes are a 4E, they are way too narrow! Style is nice but had to return them; were trying another style.

For trail shoes, this was a screaming deal. I used a $25 coupon on top of the ridiculously low price already and paid something like $35 for the shoes. Overall they're comfortable and fit well. I used them for daily walking around and my "power" walks for fitness. Good support. The shoes actually stretch a little bit after you wear them for a short period. This doesn't make them uncomfortable but rather more comfortable with a bit of wiggle room. These are not top of the line trail shoes which you can find for upwards of $150, but for what they are they're five stars and not junk. I usually buy a new pair of shoes every six months or so, I'm sure these will last that long and probably longer.

Good basic shoe that comes in super wide that i need. Good value for the money but did not think it would last long based on how i abuse shoes.

I had difficulty with the rubber toe bumper being flat on top, rather than rounded which put pressure on my big toenail. I took the NB inserts out and put a thinner one in which seemed to resolve the problem. would be great if NB could produce a thinner insert for this shoe because it offers better arch support than the one I put into the shoe.

Size 15 4E, width was good, length was good, nice to see a color choice in this size, would like to see more bright color options

Returned because they were too narrow. 15 4E wide fit like a D width. If they fit they would be great shoes, inexpensive trail runners.

The shoe feels narrower than the nitrel new balance I was trying to replace. The inner sole is a flat with no arch support at all.

I have problem feet, so I am constantly searching for a shoe that works for me. I am a woman, but usually order men's 4E (or wider) width, since few women's shoes are offered in the extra-wide widths I need. The last New Balance model that felt somewhat comfortable was the Leadville, which, of course, was discontinued. I was hopeful that the Nitrel v3 might work, but sadly, it has gone the way of most New Balance offerings and even the 4E toe box is too narrow and snug. I had to return these. If you are reading this, New Balance people, PLEASE return to making shoes that are more anatomically compatible with the shape of a foot, and when you say the shoe is a 4E, make it wide!

When my son outgrew a previous version of these shoes, we weren't able to hit our usual shoe store to get him a new pair. I ordered the next size up hoping they'd do the trick - they did! He wore them out of the box, immediately getting them dirty running around the yard. They fit his wide feet well.

I got them for the orange in them to coordinate with colors of clothes. I think they are very comfortable and were at a great price.

I was a big fan of the Nitrel V1. Put hundreds of miles on them and still have some life left in them. I've done one short 2-miler in the V3 and happy so far.

I really wanted to love this shoe, but I have an extremely wide foot and, normally a 14 4E from NB is a great fit, but these are just too small. I still love the shoe and it felt soft, but I couldn’t even tie the shoe on this one. If you just have a wide foot and are a true 13 the 14 4E is a great fit.

Good looking and well made. My complaint is the same with most all sneakers. In a American made Allen Edmonds shoe I have always taken a 12 EEE. Lately when ordering New Balance I've had to go up a size (13 ) and up a width (4EEEE )...Often not long enough ,so ordered these in a 14 EEEE. They fit well. What's up with modern day sizing ?
I'd also recommend:
Keen also has wide toe box on their sneakers / boots

The shoes fit fine...I have been wearing New Balance running shoes for years. What I noticed with this purchase is that they have made the shoe laces annoyingly cheap. When you are ready to untie them, the laces are so thin it is harder than any other shoe I’ve owned to untie.

I was able to get my WIDE foot into the 4E, but it was snug. Walking around was fairly comfortable until after wearing for a while, my foot started to hurt. Got them on a stretcher hoping to make them a bit wider.

I wrote another review just a short time ago???? This shoe has a great sole to climb over up hill pathways--not rock climbing , rough trails. The length is as stated. The width is probably 3 E, I ordered 4 E. The style is good. It is an inexpensive shoe -- you get what you pay for. We'll see how it holds up

The style and sole were great. Sole structure was great on fire trail to Griffith Observatory---sadly they are not rue to width, The 4E is more like 2 or maybe 3 E. I wore them on trail, or I would have sent them back--- my bad--- order one size larger
I'd also recommend:
only use NB in athletic shoes
