Taking you back a bit...the originals of this shoe were the 1122's. Going forward about 3-5 yrs to 1123's (forget number after that)...best shoes ever made! Now...garbage. Just like Skecher, first out they were indestructible...then garbage

I have stopped buying New Balance shoes after being a customer for over 30 years. Their shoes have become outrageously expensive. Quality has gone downhill too.

Started wearing NB in 1968. V3 has been the worst shoe for wear and tear. Fabric top wore through in two months. Basic and V2 were significantly better quality. After three pair reverted bace to 990's. Might need to look for new manufacturer. Loyalty slipping away!

I had gone through two 1540v2 as a walking shoe. They each lasted me over two years, and are still going as junk shoes. Since these are no longer made, sales person suggested the 1540v3. Arch support is not nearly as good and my toes wore through the top within 6 months of light use. I would rather pay extra and get a good quality shoe. These were not worth it.

I ordered these because I over pronate and thought a motion control shoe would help my Hallux rigidus issues as well. I was running in the NB 860v12 and they were OK but decided to go for a full motion control shoe. This shoe is hard with little forefoot cushioning (I was used to the cushioning in the Fresh Foam shoes), they are heavy, really heavy. Felt like I was running with ankle weights on my feet. No way will I be winning any races with these anchors on. Actually made the Hallux rigidus issue worse as a seam lies right on the affected joint. After a 4 mile run with these clodhoppers on I was totally exhausted and my legs felt like I had just finished a half marathon. To make matters worse the outside of the heels showed a lot of wear. I doubt these would hold up for 4 months of my running schedule. Will not know this however because I won't be wearing these shoes again.

The V3s are a verrry poor follow up to the V2s! The build and fit sturdiness fall short while the shoelaces don't remain tight. Both equally as important considerations when walking/running long distances.

The toe box consisted of 2 pieces of material sewn together. There was a bubble in the seam and it created a rub spot on my toe.

I ordered these shoes online and was supposed to have an online discount. When I checked out the discount wasn't applied to my order. I called back and was told once my order was received they can't give me the online credit. I didn't feel that was appropriate.

Working in the medical field it is important to have footware that is able to support you through your shift. New Balance use to be my go to, however the quality has dramatically decreased. The last two pairs have only lasted me a month or two of inconsistant wearing before holes are worn through the mesh, where previously with the same model I could go for a year or two. New Balance, you have lost a customer and my reccomendations to my coworkers.

I'm severely flat footed and these shoes are the best for me. I've had them before in the past but when I went to order it this time they didn't have my width. I desperately needed new shoes so I got them anyway at the regular width and that was a mistake.

I've owned numerous 1540s over the years. They've all had the same problem: within 3 months the inner heel blows out.
Now they are no longer made in the USA. I have no reasons left to purchase New Balance products.

I got a pair of 1540v3s for Christmas. In less than a month, my right toe broke through the mesh. I assumed it was a defect in that particular pair because I wear thick socks and I only wear the shoes for walking. The shoe store replaced them, but after several weeks, the same thing occurred with the new pair. This never happened on the 3 pairs of 1540v2s I previously owned. I'm afraid NB has lost a customer.

These shoes not made in U. S. And we're not large enough even though my last pair (made in U. S. And ordered 6 months ago)was same size and fit well. Had to return them.

This shoe says it is 6e, I have loosened the laces like crazy but it still has sides that go upwards where my 5E foot goes wide making my foot be squished down in the middle and uncomfortably pressed up on the sides.

I was shocked to find that these shoes are no longer made in the USA. That is one reason we have stuck with NB brand because they were loyal to their hardworking Americans.
Companies no longer have any loyalty to workers. Just in it for the money.

Spent approaching 3 hrs time trying in 2 separate attempts to order from NB. Orders would enter and be confirmed, then immediately cancel. Emailed, then spoke to customer service (Samuel) 2 separate times, then Julie a couple of days later. Their only suggestion multiple times was to keep placing orders, which they knew were not being accepted, even using different payment methods. Guess it was too much to ask for them to just take an order over the phone to satisfy a potential customer. I am NOT a satisfied customer. In 15 minutes I ordered 2 pair of shoes from Birkenstock with absolutely no problem using the identical payment method....

Run 3 miles a day. The 1540v2 was perfect for me no problems since the design of the 1540years ago. The 1540v3 is not the same shoe. I now have knee, Achilles and big toe problems. I hope to find the right shoe after the 1540v2 was changed and discontinued and hope to get a refund for the 1540v3.

Not sure what is causing the problem, I've had many pairs of US made NB shoes in the past and never had any issues. I use these on a treadmill and cross-trainer and my toes have taken a beating and they cut into the top of my big toe. Will try different socks.

They didn't last me a month of light use before they started to warp and fall apart. Holes formed over my big toes and the shoes started to separate at the seams. I only wore them on the weekends for casual walking.
