I know the brand and liked the sandal as pictured on Zappos' website, so took a chance in ordering them without the benefit of first trying them on. They are a good looking sandal and well made - although they are made in China (printed inside ankle strap) and not Italy. They fit but I did not like how they looked on me. The back fit as it should, meaning my heel did not hang over and the width was good - no toes hanging over the sides. However the front is very long - or my toes are very short. Possibly the reason for the length is due to the squared off shape. Unfortunately there was at least 1/2 inch of sole extending beyond my toes. It looked weird. Moreover the sole is quite rigid making walking unpleasant. The rigidity of the sole caused the sandal to pull the thong strap tightly against the skin between the toes as well as causing the ankle strap to rub uncomfortably at the buckle. I could not walk naturally in them and given the discomfort I immediately felt from the straps, I decided to return them. I will eventually learn not to buy shoes without first trying them on.
