These were cute but the soles were so slippery that I slipped in the rain twice and the second time, I broke my ankle. So please be careful with these!

It's comfortable and I like it.

Old school sandals, like I wore as a kid in the '70s. I ordered all three styles of these, and just like other reviewers said, these fit more snugly than the others, which works just fine for my low volume feet. The leather is softer on these as well. This strap style accentuates the wide toe box, which some people might not like, but I wear other minimalist shoes so I'm already expecting that look. These do have a bit of heel lift and the soles are fairly stiff so are not truly minimalist, but otherwise they are quite simple.

I purchased the original sandal and this retro style for my daughter. They fit true to size. The rose gold is a beautiful color. My daughter liked the originals, but she thought the twist at the top might bother her after wearing them for some time. I think they would have been okay after softening up (and the leather on these will soften), but she was worried it wouldn't. We kept the retro style. TIP: Be sure to follow the directions on the box before trying them on. It makes a big difference in how they feel on the foot.

Size runs about 1/2 smaller. I am an 8 1/2. In salt water sandals I take a 9 or 7( big kid/Adult) One important thing to remember is to follow instructions on how to stretch the leather before you try them on. Then wear them around the house to break them in. They may feel too tight at first but they do stretch out . These are nice to wear to the beach cause you can get them wet and it doesn't hurt them. This is my second pair. Love the Rose gold color. They last forever. l

Color is beautiful and perfect for the summer outfit. It is made of leather but I can walk by beach wo worries. Very satisfied.

I've ordered in the other style and it fit perfectly but this style wouldn't even let my foot slide half way. Going back to the other style.

This is my second pair of Salt Water sandals, and I love them! I got the classic buckle ones in red first, and then these retro ones in the black. I didn't think they would fit me because I have a high instep, but they are totally fine. No blisters right out of the box, and I wore them around all day. The straps do seem a bit loose, so they might not work if you have a narrow foot. But the way the straps move is really forgiving, so it's probably worth trying them on to see if the work for you. I would definitely recommend this brand of sandals, especially if you have messy kids because they clean up super easy and look like new even after they've gotten dirty and wet.

Purchased in my normal size. I have an extremely narrow foot and I had to work the leather for several minutes in order to get my foot into the sandal. Once that was done, they fit well. Recommend reading the instructions before attempting to put on. Regarding style, absolutely love as they are super on trend with what I've been seeing on the streets while traveling through Europe this summer and observing all the stylish ladies. The rose gold is especially cute!

I usually wear a 39, which usually translates to an 8. When I first ordered a kids size 6, the shoes were comically tight and short. Maybe they're supposed to stretch? I didn't want to take any chances. I ordered a kids 7, and they fit perfectly. I love that I can look relatively fancy and still get these wet. Perfect for all kinds of summer fun!

I have these sandals in black, tan, and rose gold. I love the unique retro style, but there are a few drawbacks. They do tend to make the front of your foot look a little wider than other saltwater styles, so if you have a really wide foot, these probably aren’t for you. The strap on the heel sits lower than other saltwaters. I haven’t worn them around yet since it is still winter, but I’m hoping the heel strap won’t be an issue. It will probably just take some getting used to. The Black and Tan colors are soft leather and feel comfortable right away, but the Rose Gold is stiff and narrow. If you purchase Rose Gold, just be aware that they will require more breaking in. Even with the few disadvantages of the retro style, overall I really like them and I’m willing to get used to the differences because they are so cool!

My feet and these shoes were not meant to be together. Way to tight. Could not even begin to get my toes into the shoe, but W width or next size up would be floppy. Good for younger, less world weary feet.

This the second time I purchase these sandals for my 13 year old girl. I buy a new pair every time they get too small. She is a big girl and I’m glad I found these sandals on size 6 big kid. I will purchase them again in size 7 and 8.

These are some of the best sandals I’ve purchased. They are both comfy and stylish! I wear women’s 8 1/2 and have to order a 9.

I have worn the classic Salt Water Sandals for the past 4 years and wore them into the ground! They've been perfect but were totally worn out, so it was time for a new pair. I love this style - the extra woven pieces are lovely! They fit my foot immediately, no breaking-in time. I'm a 10.5-11M and the 11 fits perfectly, not too short/long and not too narrow/wide for my foot.

I wear a 6 1/2 in most shoes and a 7 in running shoes. I ordered the 6 and it fit in length perfectly. BUT...the width around the top of the foot is very narrow. If you have wider feet these may not be the sandal for you.

when these arrived my 13 yr old Grandaughter really liked them she really does not like wearing sandles but these ones she liked they came in rose gold which was the perfect color she said these are great for all types of water they keep their feet safe in the river then they look great with a sundress or shorts I will be buying school shoes next I love the customer service I will be 100% buying all her shoes at Zappos thank you

I ordered these for my 9 yr old grand daughter. Salt Water is all she has worn from a baby. I love love this brand of sandals.
