This shoe was recommended by foot doctor years ago for my hurting feet & it is still the only walking shoe I will wear. I love the fit and they are very comfortable to wear all day.

Truth is, I can buy these shoes a lot of different places. I only buy New Balance as I generally get the quality I expect, the wear and comfort I expect and a price that is fair. I have a time or two had some failure in glue or stitching. I only buy from Zappos, for many reasons including speed, returns, and the manner in which they have responded and dealt with those one or two quality issues. Zappos gets my 5 star rating!

When I last bought the Model 608 shoe, it felt so good that I bought a second pair and put them on the shelf. I wear them everyday as an around town shoe and on trips. I use a 3/8" added heel lift for plantar fasciitis. I feel like I am walking on air. BUT, I went to order a third pair and Zappos no longer has the dark grey color I prefer. They were made in Indonesia. The new lighter grey were made in Vietnam, and were too tight in the toe, even though they appeared identical in design. Bring back the slightly larger dark grey 608, and I will be a happy camper.

Looped eyelet tore off when tying shoestring while modestly tightening. Sewing of eyelet not made for strength nor durability. Sent back for a different shoe.

These sneakers were purchased in a size extra wide for my father who has swelling in his feet. The fit and sizing was exactly to his liking. These New Balance are so comfortable that my father has no complaints and says he can wear them everyday. Overall these sneakers were a wonderful purchase that gives great support. They are definitely recommended.

Once again, Zappos has done its usual excellent job of sending me the perfect sneakers we ordered, quickly and efficiently. This New Balanced feels even bouncier and more supportive than our precious pair of the same sneakers. It is a solid and supportive sneaker that also looks terrific, with its gray felt like color. Can't find a more comfortable or better looking sneaker anywhere.

This is the only type of shoe my husband can wear due to a wide foot . He loves the style and comfort the 4 eeee is a great shoe for wide feet and it looks great to.

Fit and size looks fine ... but there is absolutely no way that the shoe could be described as "chocolate brown"! The shoelaces and lining are indeed close to that color, but the leather uppers are closer to "mousy grey". See the attached photo. Frankly, though, I'm happy with the way it is! I wouldn't have been so, if I'd truly needed the color you described!

As someone with high arches and 4E wide feet, these are a great fit. I work in assembly lines -- 10 hour shifts on my feet all day, 4-5 days per week. After 6 months, it was time to get a new pair since I ripped the suede on my toe from adjusting pallets at work. If it weren't for that, I'd still be using them! After breaking in the suede, it feels like a second set of skin; light, flexible, with enough durability for daily walks around town to last you well over a year. For daily life and comfort, these shoes are a new favorite.

I ordered a pair of size 10 in 4EE wide for myself to wear as a multi-purpose shoe, and to wear after work for comfort after being in work boots all day. This was my first pair of 4EE wide New Balance shoes, and I was impressed with the fit and the width. May recommend going a half size down if you prefer a tighter toe box compared to standard sizes. These are most certainly "Dad Shoes", but have great width support with very high quality suede with a great cushion in the sole. I enjoyed my first pair so much, I bought a pair for my own Dad - and he really likes them. Great shoe for hip or low back pain, Achilles heel issues, or for people with significantly wide feet. Extremely comfortable.

I love New Balance shoes as they always feel comfortable on my feet. These shoes are no exception. I use them for walking and exercising my dog. The sole is cushioned well and I don't mid the low arch support as I where inserts for plantar fasciitis. This particular shoe is not as glitzy as many of the other shoes from NB but they are comfortable and that for me is paramount.

The fit and the size was perfect and as far as comfort goes I wear them every day this is now my second pair and my feet always feel very comfortable wearing them and I get good support from them they’re awesome shoes so much so my son purchased a pair the following week I also have them in white.

These are perfect Dad shoes. I've been wearing New Balance for years and love how consistent their sizing is. Quality Comfortable shoes at a fair price, made in America, and they hold up. I usually buy one pair of New Balance per year and wear them just about every day.

Normally wear a 9 1/2 size shoe; from past experience with this sneaker model I ordered a size 10 1/2. I have a wide foot; ordered 4E; OK fit, but would have gone for a 6E if available in this style.

Fits well, walks comfortably and is very light. Why have a loop at the rear of the shoe to assist inputting it on, if it is too small to fit any of my fingers? Poorly done New Balance.

My third pair. Only complaint is that the heel lining wears out too fast, long before the rest of the shoe.

2nd time I've ordered this style - they are very comfortable and wear well.

Fit and size were both exact. I get lots of compliments on my shoes. They are very comfortable!
