Takes a few months to break in. Do not size down if using an insole, which is necessary as there is no padding/support. Lifetime boot. Can send back to RedWing for new soles. Purchased Chippewa and Thorogood. Seems like I always go back to the RedWings.

This Red Wing blacksmith 3343 is super fantastic. I received the shoes in a non-red-wing box, that is weird!

It takes TIME to break in. The first couple times you wear them, be prepared. I ordered one size smaller than my running shoe size. They fit snug but not tight. After a while (at least 10 hours or more of wear) they start to stretch and feel more relaxed. I have no doubt they will last forever.

Gorgeous boot. Obviously a lifetime purchase. I'm a true 10.5D in Nike and New Balance. The leather will eventually contour to your feet. I recommend starting a whole size smaller.

I needed to add a half insole for heel and arch support. Now they fit perfect.

These are beautiful boots and well made! The Copper Rough & Tough leather is going to patina wonderfully. Red Wing states that the #8 last that these and many of their other 6” boots are built on run a half size big. I have these and the Iron Ranger and both reliably run a full size large.

Decent shoe, no arch support.

Exceptional fit and finish.

I am about an 8.5 or 9 - one foot is bigger than the other. These fit both feet very well and they are oddly comfortable. I mean, there is nothing in there but leather. I am a laboratory scientist and I am on my feet for most of eight hours per day. These are better than any memory foam whatever I have had in the past.

best shoes i've had so far - a bit pricey, but totally worth it. Getting another pair of Red Wings soon

An American Classic Boots. They are perfect after braked them

I normally wear a 11.5 and went with a 10.5. There is a break in period as they are stiff. I used mink oil on the black pair of boots I have to help with the break in. They are narrower but over time they widen a bit. I'm satisfied with this purchase. They are well made and Redwing customers service is great. I had the benefit of having a few Redwing stores where I live and was able to try them on.

Just received my Red Wing Blacksmith boots yesterday! I was a little hesitant about ordering them, due to mixed reviews concerning the sizing and comfort/ break in period, but I can tell you I am not disappointed. These boots fit perfectly right out of the box and I wore them for several hours on day one without any issues. I treated them with some quality mink oil at the end of my first wear and they darkened up quite a bit. Overall, out of the box perfection for me, now I just hope that they can live up to their reputation-

Fit perfectly as all my other Red Wing Heritage boots.

I wear a size 12 in most other shoes. The 11 fit perfectly. The regular fit is narrow, so order a wide if you’re a little wider to normal size with other shoes. So I’m usually a narrow 12D, and the 11d is perfect.

Upon blowing up the picture of the copper rough and tough it looks exactly like the pair sent to me sorry Zappos Wish I could take down my previous review. As always the Zappos team is accurate and great. New glasses on order for me

I do measure a full 9 but as Red Wing recommends drop down 1/2 to 1 size down. I went with an 8 and it’s fine! The quality of the leather and workmanship is the best!! Highly recommend and product from Red Wing also service from Zappos is tops!!

Beautiful Shoe. It didn't fit me well.

Very nice looking boots, and clearly well made and high quality. However, I find that the Vibram sole sounds weird and is maybe too hard. When I walk it makes a distinct "click-click-click" sound, and I feel like I'm walking around in tap dancing shoes. Also, the sizing is bigger than I expected. I usually wear a 12.5 or 13 sneaker. I bought these in an 11.5 and it's still a bit too big, but if i tie them very tight its livable.

Picture does not relate to item sent color and leather in picture look more like the amber iron lug. These look beat up already. For 300 bucks I’d prefer to beat them myself
