The leather is a thicker stronger leather than the old harpswell and it took a little while for my feet to flex them in but now they're great

This is my second pair of Sperry shoes! My others are at least 7years old! They are finally wearing out! Not falling apart! They were my go to for every thing! Wore them all the time! Fantastic! These new ones are very comfortable right from the start. It looks like although I have other shoes these will be my new go to! Fantastic company, fantastic shoes.

Been wearing driving Mocs for years and have found these to be among the most comfortable for the money. Great styling, feet don't get tired even when on a 4 hour road trip.

These shoes are exactly what I have been looking for. The fit and feel is incredible. I ware them mostly inside as a slipper but also ware them outside to do quick things. As a result of the comfort and feel of the lining I will continue to go to Sperry for all my future shoe needs. Thank you Sperry.

Love everything about this shoe and get compliments on them daily. As with most leather shoes, wearing them without socks can be uncomfortable, especially in the summer heat and humidity.
Haven't tried no-show socks but fear the tongue on these may be too far forward for the traditional no-show sock. Perhaps Sperry can comment on whether their boat shoe no-show socks will jive well with this shoe?

This shoe is a fantastic addition to my wardrobe. This looks great in both a professional work setting as well as casual. Can be worn with or without socks as well as with pants or shorts and still look incredible. Super comfortable and supportive while being stylish.

Rich looking and versatile to wear. The leather isn't quite as supple some as the gold cup glove series tends to be. Fit is narrow but expected for the style. Length is consistent for Sperry sizing. A softer leather upper and a glued down insole would make it a 5 star shoe for me.

Very stylish driver shoe that is practical. The driver heel saves the shoe and feels great on all of the pedals when I drive. They will need a bit of time to break in, but are already comfortable. While true to size, these kinds of shoes tend to have a closer fit than other styles. You may find that it’s not for you, or order up a size to change the feel

Great appearance as expected with Gold Cup line. Sizing different than Gold Cup boat shoes; these are 1/2 size too short and somewhat snug feeling width wise than my normal Gold Cup size.
Sent them back to reorder 1/2 longer and wider .

These sperry gold cup harpswell 1 eyed drivers didn't have the thick and plush leather that where kennebunk 1 eyed drivers were made of, that made me feel that sperry had taken advantage of me with this harder less comfortable leather.

Great shoe,
A bit tight across the top of arch, will work in eventually. When will the Captain style be offered in a wide? Hopefully very soon!

Nice shoes but they wear out quick, the first area to wear out is the front. When you walk, the shoes hit the leather in front hit the pavement every time. The need to protect that area with something like the back of the shoe.

I own several Sperry Gold Cup shoes. This is the first pair that runs small and tight, the opposite is the standard. I had to return them.
But they are beautiful.

Despite having a very average sized foot, I found these mocs to fit very tight. The length was true to size....but my foot felt like it was in a vice. The underside of the eyelet hardware at the top of the shoe also creates painful pressure points on the top of the foot. The construction and style of the shoe is reasonable, but did they ever take alot of work to get them comfortable. I used an old-skool shoe-stretcher to stretch out the toe-box and vamp. Even weeks into the process, I could only bear to wear them for a few hours at a time. I have finally gotten them to the point where they are comfortable. And I have never had an issue with Sperry. These are great looking drivers...but man...be prepared to put the work in to get them wearable.

My husband loves this shoe and this is the 3rd. pair I've ordered over the last several years; however, he has always worn an 11 Medium in this shoe which I ordered this time. It was way to tight for him and when I went went to reorder in an 11W, they were out of stock 'til Feb. of '23!
Been to every online store/site trying to find these in 11W but no luck whatsoever. Have to return. So disappointed.

I love the quality of these shoes, but they are uncomfortable. I've tried 3 pair this pair are the best. Am stretching them out now with a shoe stretcher.

The shoe is extremely comfortable and fits well. However, with the good there seems to always be a negative, so her it is. The toe sticks out way past the sole and is unprotected to continued scuffing and in no time looks terrible. Protect the toe and you have a great shoe.... mine wore out in a matter off a couple months.

Last one in Stock... I think I know why, there was no Sperry brand Box. The shoes just came in a plain brown corrugated box without marking and they were a lot less then Sperry's price, and they had scratches not cuts, on the leather, definitely overstocks or demos. But
I'm still going to keep em still a good Gold Cup shoe. BTW you guys that have wide feet go for the wide size because these are not a medium width. Cheers
