Bought 2 of these Large Forager pockets for my Sawtooth 45. I wish they came in Subalpine like the pack but forest green doesn't look too bad. Haven't used much yet but they seem like they'll hold up well. Initial concerns are how weak the snaps seem and the size of the pocket. I'm not sure how one could fit much in the size small, a medium size iPhone just fits. Definitely get the Large as shown in the photos, and once on the pack I think the snaps will hold up okay.
Pocket quality seems really good overall.

This product is as described. The only down fall is that the string that is used on the zipper will catch on brush and open the pouch allowing items ti fall out. So be careful and don't keep important item in the left side.

I bought two, one for each side and it holds everything I need it to. Elk calls, cell phone, head lamp, etc. My only complaint is the snap buttons. I hunt the Oregon Coast and saying it's brushy would be an understatement, but I have had the snaps come undone from getting snagged on the brush. Havnt lost one yet, just wish they were a little stronger.

It is was it is. A very little pouch. Appears to be well constructed. Best guess, will fit 2-3 oranges or snowballs, depending on the season and size. In regard what Zappos customer service told me when asked about the place of manufacture: This company is BASED in Montana, but this particular product is manufactured in Korea.

Seem small. Do not like the snaps. I recommend tying straps or buckles. The snaps come undone too easily. I don't like how they take up the space for a water bottle in the Metcalf.

I bought this before my hunt this year because my metcalf is a bit lacking in small/fast pockets. The forager served its purpose, but it's attachment to the belt is sloppy. There's no way to get it attached firmly in place with what is provided. I got the large size based on other reviews, and I'm glad I did. I don't see a need for a pocket smaller than the large.

They are nice quality but the spacing between the MOLLE attachment point in the pack belt and the distance between the attachment straps on the pouch are not the same. This causes the pouch to bunch up and makes it hard to unzip or put anything in it.

I would love to write a better review as I love the overload feature on my Metcalf. However, the pack has minimal storage and none on the waistbelt (which for archery is almost necessary). So I bought the forager pouch. The large size works well for what I need, but the snaps like to come undone. Especially when don/doffing the pack.
I would prefer a pouch be built into the belt and/or the pouch be better secured.

Pocket is good but snaps to hold pocket on the backpack are not. The snaps came open and the pocket fell off the pack the first time I went through some thick brush.

This is a great addition to my sawtooth pack however the button closure system to attach the pocket to the pack comes undone from time to time. also the top near the zipper is beginning to wear down already to the point of creating a hole. I have used it for two days of hunting. I love the idea of having more storage but I don't store anything that could be potentially lost.

I love all of my Mystery Ranch stuff, except for this. It seems well constructed, but I just cannot get the thing to stay on my hip belt. On my first hunt with it, I had to retrace my steps to find the Forager Pocket, and my cellphone inside of it. I'm considering gluing the snaps together. Maybe I got a dud?

No fabric flap over the zipper means the interior takes on significant water during a not even that heavy rain. (I know the zipper is the weak point and not the fabric b/c I have a backpack made out of the same fabric but that has fabric flaps over the zippers and had it during the same weather conditions; I also dunked the lower portion of the pouch in a river (not on purpose), very briefly, and almost no water but a few droplets got inside). No grommeted holes in the bottom means the water doesn't drain out. If you don't realize the pouch is taking on water and remove any water-sensitive items from it, they will be ruined. Company will tell you it's not marketed as waterproof. Yeah, I know. Neither is lots of other stuff. I don't need it to be waterproof. The backpack's not waterproof either. A fabric flap over the zipper is a simple fix. User could still access the zipper easily while wearing the pouch on a hip belt.
