I absolutely LOVE the look of this shoe. I've been a Nike Flex TR fan since the TR 6 came out three years ago. They're my go-to shoe for kickboxing and boot camp workouts and they hold up really well to a lot of abuse. This new style of Flex TR, the 9, has a feature that made these shoes unwearable for me. There's a wide strap that circles around the heel and connects to the shoelaces. When you tie your shoes snugly, it pulls that strap tight, too. The problem is that the strap is placed oddly so that tying my shoes snugly causes that strap to actually pull the shoes OFF my heel (see photo). When I'm kickboxing, my shoe actually comes OFF my foot during roundhouses! I tried to live with it for a while but it got to the point that I wasn't kicking as hard just to keep my shoe from flying off and I said NO MORE. Luckily, Zappos is THE BOMB DOT COM and offered to exchange them for me, so I swapped them out for some Flex TR 8s that don't have the weird strap thingamajig. I hope they get rid of it for the 10s.

I bought these nike shoes , thinking they looked good and would be comfotable, since they came in wide. Well looks can be deceiving, these shoes would have been fine if nike had sewn the sides of the tongue inside, the shoe, because they roll up and put pressure on the top of you foot. Very uncomfortable, and i threw the show box away, so I can't return them. Very unhappy with my waste of money . First time ordering from Zappos

Fit was fine. But the swoosh on top of the left toe box started to peel after one wear. WTF! I don’t have fat feet so was surprised and irritated. Right shoe is okay so it’s a quality issue. Also if the shoe gets wet, you will see the water marks after it dries. Not happy with this purchase.

I love these sneakers for cross-training. So light weight and perfect for speed and agility drills. I work out 5days a week for 60 minutes, hard. These sneakers get used and abused and last for a decent amount of time considering the wear and tear they are put through.

I read reviews AFTER i purchased so i was VERY worried. I really like these shoes! I don’t know what all the fuss is over. Super cute. Wore them to the gym, comfortable enough (i am not running in them). There is NOTHING wrong with the tongue. Great price!

A perfect lightweight training shoe, but only when paired with a really supportive insole because as stated by others, there is minimal arch support. I love these for hardcore gym training and as a casual walking shoe. They look great with jeans. Need more colors!

The tongue of the shoe on the inside bothered my foot because they are a bit snug in terms of width. After wearing them a few times they are starting to fit better.

My feet hurt and were bruised after wearing these. Where the laces are presses into the top of the foot, no matter how I adjust them.

Bought for high impact workouts. This feels more like a low impact shoe. Very squishy and comfortable to wear for light activity but does not offer enough firm support for high impact. Currently own a pair of Nike running shoes that give me foot pain after lots of jumping. This shoe fit and felt too similar

I really wanted to love these sneakers, they're SO sleek and versatile. BUT. The lacing doesn't go up high enough on the foot to keep the foot in place. It has a "heel strap" that's connected to the laces that can theoretically tighten enough to keep the heel in place, but it is so incredibly ineffective. If you try to tighten the laces up front in order to tighten the back strap, all it does is strangle your foot and your heel still slips around. I swear the bottom half of these shoes are like a full size bigger than the front half. These slip off the heel like nobody's business, I ALWAYS find myself taking these off to train. And wearing these during cardio? Forget it. They're fine if you're wearing them to be comfy on a plane or just walking around, but try to find a more secure shoe for actually training in.

Loved the style of these shoes but the shoe didn’t feel deep enough to me. After one day of wear, the top of my left foot was killing me and there was pretty significant indentation wear the seam along the side of tongue cut into my foot. Ended up giving to my daughter who loves them and they seem to fit well on her without the issues I had.

I should have listened to the reviewers before me, but I was lured by the fun design with cute gold trim. I have several pairs of Nike's, but this shoe does not fit! The top lace area is stiff and tight and no matter how much I loosened it I just couldn't get comfortable. So sad I had to return.

Bring back the tr 8s! The new design with straps round ankle connected to main tie is awful. If nike is looking for more stability a firmer fabric on top would be ideal to the trainer 8s to prevent foot sliding!

I ordered a size 7, which is my normal size in Nike. The shoe was too long and felt large and boxy in the toe. The shoe was uncomfortable and provided absolutely no support.

I loved this shoe when I saw it and fell in love with it all over again when they came in!!! Great shoe. Goes with everything.

this is my second time buying these shoes. I have long flat skinny feet and they fit well.

Nice looking shoes, but no support and the toe area was a wrinkled mess... will go back to Nike Revolotion.

This is my 3rd pair of tr flex - I love this version. It fits true to size (I like a tiny bit of room for cross training shoes and the women’s 8M is perfect- I normally wear an 8M in various athletic shoes). I’m a hardcore hiit trainer - from burpees to sprints to kettlebell work etc and these have perfect support for that type of training. I had more issues with the tongue in tr 8 than this one- the tongue feels way better and flatter in the 9. This shoe is a goodie - the black with a gold Nike swish is super cool looking. No break in time needed in these either.

I love this shoe! I bought it to use for my cardio workouts and they work great! They are light weight and very flexible. They look great too! They don’t have arch support, an I have fallen arches, but it hasn’t been a problem for me. They are very comfortable.
