These shoes have stitching around the opening that has no give and dug into my heels so much that I simply could not wear them. I only wore them for a couple of hours total. There is no option to break them in and they hurt.

I was really excited about these shoes after the Wirecutter review, but was disappointed. The soles feel nicely soft and rubbery. The uppers are made of a stretch swim fabric that looks shinier than in photos - I wouldn't be fooled into thinking it's canvas or a regular shoe. I'm very comfortable in size 10 shoes, but these felt cramped around the edges and rubbed on the bone of my heel as soon as they were on my feet - I suspect that's by design, as they need to stay on for swimming, but it was not comfortable for walking. I did like how the fabric stretched when I wiggled my feet, much like other swim shoes do...though it's odd to look down and see the shape of your toes. With the fabric coming down rather far on the foot's top, and the squareness of the sides, the look was bulkier and more masculine than I was expecting. I think these would look great on someone who was seeking a specific boat style to go with a long wrap or beach pants, and not something cute to replace sandals for a swimsuit. Returning.

These are just OK. I have worn them as water shoes a few times and they work well for that and dry quickly; however, when just wearing them outside of water, they really make your feet sweat because of the neoprene. Thus, I mainly just wear them when going to be in water, and not for regular street wear… too hot!

These shoes are wide in the toe area, narrow in the heel (dig in) area and definitely run small. A full size up is too big for me and they do not come in half sizes. I’ll know, in the future, to trust the reviews. Theses shoes are not for me. Returning them.

The material on the heel digs in causing a lot of discomfort. Additionally the stitching started coming undone on my first wear which was really disappointing.

Size 9 way too tight. Size 10 way too big. Not right for me

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Very uncomfortable

Like other reviewers I wanted to love these. They seem like the perfect shoe for the beach, but no luck. I'm normally a 9 so ordered a women's 10 and a men's 8. Both were too tight arcoss the top of my foot. If I was going to keep one, I would keep the men's size, but I wanted pink! I didn't mind the snug feel of the body, but add sand or a hot foot and it would be painful. Probably would get them on after a day at the beach. I wish they were less snug around the top of the foot. Please make them a bit more forgiving as I'd love a pair!
