I like the feeling of a solid foundation and goid alignment with the Oboz Sawtooth II. However they feel surprisingly stiff and hard, for all the fabric, and there is a point on each foot where a bunch of seams converge and hit a boney prominence in an uncomfortable spot. I have tried these in a shoe store and they felt like buttah, but I did not like the color the store had. So I ordered these. Some may say they just need breaking in. However my feeling is that unless they feel great out of the box, better not to count on it. Unfortunately I think these will be going back, which is a pain because I have a terrible time finding shoes that meet my neefs for support. I thought these would be it, even though I really dislike wearing athletic shoes as my everyday shoes. But my go-to brands have yielded nothing but disappointment over the last year. Nothing seems to be made the way it was, twn or twenty years ago. I have never seen such an o erwhelming trend of useless garbage for sale as new in my life. I don’t know what has happened. But I am loathe to buy it. That said, these Oboz look like a great product, and it says they are hand made. It is just unfortunate about where those seams hit.

I liked the oboz sawtooth II low but I ended up choosing the oboz sapphire low b-dry. I was looking for a good walking/hiking shoe. The sawtooth style gave great support, stability, arch support, and stability but I didn't like how it pressed down on the top part of my toes, where the metatarsal bones connect to the tarsal bones, if that makes sense. I had a pair of the sawtooth style before and it did the same thing and made me feel that I needed to take them off as soon as I got back from my walk. Other than that, I loved them.

I've got bad feet. I don't wear sandals or athletic shoes for very long otherwise my feet will be killing me. So I need a stiff soled shoe and since I work at a manufacturing plant (in the office of, but still) I need a shoe that I don't mind getting wet or walking through cleaning chemicals in which is why I like light hikers. I wanted something different then the Keen's I've been wearing for years and after a few try's with what Merrill had I finally decided to try the Oboz. Right out of the box they were comfortable, fit great and when I put my orthotics in they still fit good. They don't slip on the wet tile or cement at work and keep my fee dry. I'm sure they'll be great for hiking as well but for everyday wearing they are exactly what I was looking for. Might order a second pair and stash them in my closet.

These are my first hiking shoes so I didn’t know what to expect. As a chronic sufferer of plantar fasciitis I was nervous about arch support. I’ve been wearing them daily for 5-10 mile walks for 2 weeks and they fit well and are very comfortable. Pretty light, yet good arch support.

These are just too narrow and I am going to try a half size up. Also I'm going to try the non-waterproof version.

Bought these after I bought the leather higher top Bridger hiking boot, to wear during hotter weather.

This is my second pair of Oboz. I love them ! If you have narrow feet, they'll be perfect.

I love these hiking shoes. They're the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. This is my third pair of the same style. The others have held up so well. I wear them nearly everyday.

I’ve worn this shoe on several hikes in the NC mountains. They have a sturdy sole and worked well over roots and rocks.I purchased a half size larger than my regular shoes size to allow plenty of room in the toe box. I use an orthotic insole for arch support since I have very high arches.

I love these shoes. They have great support, are lightweight, repel water and are super comfortable. I wear them all the time.

As with all hiking boots, you should allow an extra half size to accommodate thicker socks; however, I needed to go up a full size instead. Loved the comfort and no blisters after long hike first time out!

I love everything about this shoe.
The grip does what it supposed to do and I've never worn a shoe I feel so confident in. Uphill, downhill, vertical, this shoe grips!
Initially I ordered size 8.5, the size I normally I wear in hiking shoes; but when I did the "toe tap," the 8.5 was too small. I've gotten used to the little bit more room in the size 9 and it's not like my feet are swimming in them.

Actually I am trying both a size 8 and a size 81/2. I have the same shoes in the waterproof version, which I love, size 8, but these felt a little narrower so I’m trying both sizes. I wear a size 7 in street shoes and a 71/2 in running shoes, but for backpacking three weeks with wool socks need something roomier.

Love Oboz and Merrill makes a good hiking shoe also.

This is my first hiking show/boot and I am thrilled. I was advised to order a half size bigger and it was the right way to go. Comfortable out of the box and no pain or blisters after a forty minute hike. Also love the beige color. Highly recommend.

This is at least my 4th-5th pair of Oboz Sawtooth Low hiking shoes. I also own higher, fleece lined, waterproof Oboz winter boots. I love the terrific arch support, and the fact that they fit so well that they require no breaking in.

My new Oboz fit perfectly! They are my second pair and I am just as happy as I was with my first pair. They are a comfortable and durable hiking boot that fits well.

This is my third pair. Love the way they fit and look. I am a big walker/light hiker. These shoes give more support and stability on rugged, inclined terrain then just sneakers. My feet feel supported, snug and happy. I can walk for many miles in these. Age 51, fairly fit, no foot issues.

Glad I tried on my friends Oboz, I would have tried an 8.5 first, but size 9 fit great, had some wiggle room for my toes. Looking forward to my next camping trip in these guys!

Great, reasonably priced hiker. I mostly use for walking / mild hiking on uneven surfaces; 2 - 4 miles at a time. They seem to run small. I needed 1/2 size larger than my usual shoe size to wear normal mid-weight hiking socks. (8.5 instead of 8.)

Tired of wearing my mid-height hiking boots in the hot, humid Maryland summer, I bought these for my daily (-ish) 2-4 mile walk around the neighborhood. Especially appealing is that, like my Ryka cross-trainers, they are designed specifically for women's feet. They were super-comfy right out of the box, which is a rarity for me. There is enough arch support that I don't need my insoles, and the toe box is roomy enough for my wide forefoot. It's possible that, like my (not Oboz) hiking and paddock boots, they will eventually stretch and become a bit wide for my narrow arch. In that case, I'll add a cushy lambswool insole. I gave it 4 'style" stars because of the round laces, which eventually work themselves loose (so I double-knot them). I'll eventually switch them out, but will never understand their appeal :-/

I usually wear a 6.5, bought a 7 and am happy with them. They're a great shoe, very sturdy but comfortable. Haven't worn them in wet conditions so curious to see how they are with grip, but otherwise very happy.
