This is my third pair of FiveFingers but my first V-Trail. The others are KSO and EVO. This is important because unlike the others, the construction of the V-trail leaves a hard, inflexible band across the fore foot. There is simply no give there. This is distinctly different from the other pairs, and for those with wide feet (like myself) or high arch, this is a problem. The length is perfect for me, and I prefer these shoes snug, but after a few minutes running/walking, a pressure point builds along the top of the foot, and it becomes too painful to continue. Unfortunately it took me several runs to figure this out since the fit was good everywhere else, and I was hopeful they would break in, but no joy. The V-Trail 2.0 are now relegated to my closet. Simply uncomfortable. Regretful purchase and wouldn't buy again. Important to say: my KSO and EVO are fantastic, but now reluctant to purchase another FiveFingers. BOTTON LINE: wide feet, high arches beware.

I bought these V-Trail 2.0 to replace my first pair of fivefingers, which are a similar style from a few years back. I have grown to love fivefingers because they allow you to engage all of the muscles of your toes and feet during bipedal locomotion. I generally wear size 11.5 to 12 men's shoes, and size 46 in these fit perfectly. Somehow, these have a better fit than my old pair, with just the right amount of room in the toes, easier entry, and more secure lacing. I am optimistic about the extra reinforcement between the big and second toe, which is where my first pair failed. I love the olive and black color scheme. They can be a little too warm in hot weather, but that seems inevitable given they are designed to keep out rocks and debris. I also bought a pair of the lighter duty EL-X fivefingers which I also really like--well ventilated and great for hot weather--but they are somewhat more snug in the toes.

I've been hiking in fivefingers for years now. I love the Trek models, but thought I'd try out this shoes for trail running. This shoe is unfortunately too painful to wear. The stitching that runs around the shoe toes causes awful pressure points. The toe-jam many have complained about is real and the discomfort is immediate. My two other fivefingers have never caused pain like this. These are a big disappointment. They need to be re-engineered.

Like my previous Vibram shoes, these are an excellent fit once I broke them in (2-3 runs). Note - these soles are a bit thicker than standard Vibrams, which was a goal since I am running more in the woods - but I do lose some of the feel-of-the-road when I am on asphalt.

I'm a huge fan of the V-Trail 1.0 and now I'm a huge fan of the 2.0. The collar around the ankle is higher and now rocks and sand don't come into the shoe. Great improvement. The fabric around the toes is stiffer requiring me to wear a thick toe sock during the break in period. However, these shoes are marvelous. After 25 miles they are broken in and my feet are very happy. I run on rocky desert dirt trails and roads.
Thank you vibram fivefingers and Zappos for carrying these shoes.

I already have another pair of five fingers, but this ones for some reason are a little tight. I going to see if I can break them in; other than that I am very happy

The fit was very small. I do have a larger second toe, but I have never had to go up this much. Definitely go up a full size. Overall, these are great. I was first using the evos and they are supper light a=but will wear out super quickly these seem to have the right amount of sole for support and hopefully longevity.

I returned a pair that had a "glitch" between two of the toes that was immediately painful. The left foot was great though, so I ordered another pair from Zappos and I'm very happy with them. Previous 5-fingers were really light running shoes, these are chunkier. I use these for the gym only, on leg days. Similar zero-support type shoes work pretty well, too. I find these last forever if you don't tear them up because there isn't any of that foam to wear out, they just keep protecting the bottom of your feet.

Size was on point, very comfortable shoe. My personal favorite so far of all the Vibrams I've worn. Highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. Please make sure you measure your feet. The chart is spot on. I would of ordered a pair that would of been to big.

Fit was good. Felt good to get back into FiveFingers.
There is no arch support in such shoes, and that is a good thing.
Keeps me dry in the mud and small streams, not made for deeper water if you want to keep your feet dry.

It does take a day or two to get it broken in, after that it is great, very comfortable. Good grip for all conditions, even wet and slippery, enough padding for small rocks, and these are a bit wider as compared to other 5 fingers, which is great for those who need W.

Got the size 48, in the black and the blue/orange. Perfect fit for both, looks great, wide enough for those that need 'W'. It takes a day for it to formulate/shape to your feet, to get softer, but is right after that.

I have these and V-Treks. I wear a size 46 in both. These are wonderful shoes. The only negative is the long drawstrings and how they end up looking on the shoe.

For my previous pair there were some ridges under the big toes (front to back) that were very uncomfortable at first but eventually got pushed to the side as I broke them in.
They did not have the best traction where I cross the creek on sometimes wet rocks.
These offer more protection from rocks than other Vibrams but are less flexible. I don't like the bright yellow parts: black should be black for me.
I'd also recommend:
none: Vibrams are the best for minimal/five finger

I have had several pairs of five finger shoes over the past years and always was able to comfortably wear size 40 however with these I found that the size 40mm caused a lot of pressure on my big toe as it was "stuffed" into the shoe I am going to move up to a size 41mm and see how that works
