When I got my new bag three weeks ago, I couldn't wait to take it on its first trip. It is so incredibly light, it rolls so smoothly, and is so roomy! However, on its very first trip, one end of one of the straps that snaps closed near the top third of the case ripped off. It was snapped and tightened down, but it is apparent that something caught it and tore it off. It appears that it was sewn in with a very minimal seam. Other than that, it seems to have withstood the Delta Airlines baggage handling just fine. Having learned my lesson, I probably will never spend this much for a suitcase again.

I bought the coral sunset and am very pleased with my purchase. The luggage is very light and seems so well made. The color stands out and is very pretty and I am excited to use it! And the 4 wheels work great!

We went via planes and trains from NY to Switzerland to Italy and it was great. Wheels worked well over all kinds of cobblestone and sidewalks.

Recent purchase of the Gear Warrior to satisfy my daily travel needs.
Have a Monday through Friday travel job and needed a bag that will withstand a weeks worth of clean and dirty clothes (separately of course) as well as hygiene and 2 pair of steel toe shoes and workout shoes. Space is close to what I had in my other hard case that I have gone through 4 of in the last 4 year, usually the wheel wells break before anything else due to carrying 45-55lbs and being tossed in and out of planes constantly. I also have other tool boxes to drag along so the 4 wheels are a must! They look durable and may do well as long as the molded wheel weld hold up. I greatly appreciate the no issues return/replacement policy and will update this post after my first replacement.

I bought the Gear Warrior AWD 29 specifically for a 2 week plus trip to the UK and Ireland. It performed like a champ. On a bus tour with 10 stops, it was regularly packed and unpacked from a bus and carted and uncarted by hotel valets......in addition to treatment on flights. It took the handling with ease. The main compartment held all the clothes, aided by Eagle Creek packing tools. The outside compartments housed special items. It rolled easily and handled very well. It is a fantastic piece of luggage.

The wheels on this bag are fabulous. They move easily and smoothly no matter how loaded the bag is. The extra space in the bottom of the bag between the wheels is great. The stylish design and colors are just a bonus.

First of all, EC has discontinued the best piece of luggage ever. it is a 4 wheel spinner, the goes underseat BUT expands to a full size carry on. So easy to roll along but the expandable feature is the bomb. As for the 29" it is very easy to move. I will e using it for an extended trip in august. So can't comment except for great color and nice lightweight.

Loved this product. Light and easy to identify. I had a 10 day trip to Indonesia and it worked fabulous for everything. I did not get black though.

I bought the 26" gear warrior AWD and put my dive gear in it on my yearly dive trip to Mexico and loved its lightness and mobility...4 wheels make a difference....but my fins barely fit and had to curl up a bit so I knew when I came home I'd buy the 29". Can hardly wait to use it.

If you're gonna have luggage that holds this much stuff, the bag better be light. This delivers. And when a bag is this big and heavy a 4-wheeler is a must-have. I bought this for an extended business trip in cold weather and rain. I could bring everything I needed plus extra footwear. I like the multiple heights for the telescoping handle, exterior pockets, spare bag hook and eyelet for attaching a water bottle with a carabiner. I've only used it once and the wheels work great over a soaked lawn in rain, parking lot in deep snow, muddy dirt roads and slick airport floors.
An improvement I wish were on my bag is an exterior compression strap on the lower half too. Not just the upper half.

We use the product for both international and national travel. The great features are the AWD, the deep compartment, and warranty.

too soon to tell. bought for a cruise of British Isles. Love spinner luggage. I bought an eagle creek underseat four wheeler that expands via a zipper into a full carry on. People stop me and ask. For some reason EC does not make this anymore. I have 3 girlfriends who would by them today.
Anyway, this piece seems fine. Very plain. I'm sure it will be fine.

The compartment designs are good. I have three sizes of rolling duffles, two and four wheel and a 4 wheel carry-on. I would be willing to pay more for better quality zippers. Larger zippers would make zipping full duffles a lot easier. YKK zippers are the best. I have REI duffles and carry-ons that have the YKK, but don't have as good storage designs as Eagle Creek.

After owning a Eagle Creek Switchback since 1996 I decided to purchase a new EC luggage to go along with our still outstanding Switchback luggages. Did I make the right decision? I am very dissapointed in both purchases > Gear Warrior and Tarmac (another write up review).
Purchased both 2 months ago and finally broke them in on our recent mini vacation to Hilo. I had the Gear Warrior with me in Chicago (business trip) a day before we flew to Hilo. While packing for our flight home yesterday I used the expansion zipper and the material seem was torn. How can this happen with Eagle Creek products? These luggages are not cheap. Maybe cheap made these days? Where are the luggages made these days? Overseas? I decided to purchase some new products from EC after 20+ plus years traveling with 3 of their Switchback carry-on luggages. Minors issues with Swithbacks like the rubber on the wheels coming off and all 3 the inside material becoming sticky to the touch from years of use. But Still works great.
Maybe I need to rethink about purchasing products from Eagle Creek these days? And stick with my original 20+ years Eagle Creek Switchback luggages.

I am a long-time EC fan, but this bag was a huge disappointment (I have last years' model for comparison, and it's still in great condition). I love the grab handle on the front, as this helps me hoist the bag onto luggage racks, off baggage carousels, and up and down staircases.
Unfortunately, this version fails on multiple levels. During its first use (nonstop flight), my new black bag went from pristine to looking like it had been beaten up for years with the front handle and stripping permanently scuffed and two rips in the fabric--clearly a materials failure. It becomes unbalanced when loaded and difficult to guide as the extension handle torques under the load, and the wheels no longer roll as smoothly. All handle padding/comfort was reduced, and who thought a drab olive-gold interior was a good match with black?
Its most egregious fault is its extension-handle design, the most important point of human contact. Instead of EC's usual ergonomic, rounded grip that reduces fatigue and helps guide the bag well, this version boasts a skimpy, hard-edged, plasticky grip that hurts my hands and leaves marks with light use. I'm accustomed to grasping two large EC bags side-by-side in one hand and power walking my way across terminals and car lots, something this bag could never do well. I've since created my own handle padding to compensate for EC's quality-cutting decisions. It's ugly, but it blends right in with my beaten up bag.
I purchased this bag sight unseen, as I have with most of my other EC spinners. Never again. If my choice from now on is between a lightweight design disaster and a heavier, overwrought clamshell, I'll pass altogether. My luggage has to work for me, not against me.

I bought this for a trip to Jordan, Israel and Palestine. I wanted something that could go a little "off road" and hold up. It didn't even get to the airport before one of the straps broke. Ten days before our trip to the Middle East, and a day after buying the Eagle Creek luggage, we were traveling from our apartment to our house in the country and I put some clothes in it for that trip to save space in the car. Loading it into the car one of the side straps broke. It's going back to the store. I'll use the Ogio I took to India and Bhutan a few years ago for my trip to the Middle East. I know it will hold up. This is a piece of junk.
