I recently learned the concept of high vs low volume feet, and it explains why most of the shoes I try on don’t fit well. (Google “foot volume” for more info, and know that you can search for shoes by foot volume on Zappos—thanks, Zappos!) These shoes are great for high volume feet. Because of small bunions, my once narrow feet are now medium width in front, but my heel is narrow. I have a very high instep, thus the high volume. My feet are also super-sensitive and blister easily. Since the insole on this sandal is removable, I was able to put a thin cushion under the front part of the insole to get a snugger fit. Those who need custom orthotics could wear them in these sandals, which is a great feature. The two adjustable straps let you customize the fit somewhat and eliminate the heel-slip issue. Plenty of room in the toe box and instep. I thought the calf color was boring, but the bordeaux (which is a true medium-dark red) are fabulous and even a little funky. I deducted one star for comfort because these would be perfect if the leather were a bit more supple, but otherwise am very satisfied, especially at this price.

This fit nicely, even the toe box accommodated my hammer toes. Unfortunately, the straps around the top of my foot and the rear ankle strap are too long and overlap each other in a messy mashup. And since there is an elastic gore on the strap that goes over my foot, it will not have a stable fit and keep my foot from sliding around in the shoe. Too bad because I think the shoe is really cute.

I followed the advice of several people who had reviewed these shoes by purchasing a half size smaller and a wide fit. With a high arch, this is always a concern with shoes that cover the front of my foot. I also have a very narrow heel, so the velcro closure at the back of the shoe is a real plus. I wear custom orthotics regularly, but the arch support in this shoe is so good, I don't have to worry about trying to fit my orthotics inside the shoe. I tried them on with socks, then barefoot, and they were comfortable both ways. I ordered the burgundy color and I love its seasonless tint. The punched out design gives the shoes a modern look and I can't wait for summer so I can wear them in the sun!

I have been searching for cute, non old lady looking sandals that would accommodate my orthotics for a year. I’m a young, 68 year old and refuse to wear “Non Cute” shoes! Hard to find that in a size 11wide. I hate closed shoes, I live in South FloridaI and its too hot all year long to wear them. I have ordered so many pair of shoes from Zappos and returned them, I’m amazed they still send me things. Thanks Zappos, best customer service ever! These Earth Curie’s are the only sandals ( not naot, revel, Clark’s, Drew etc. etc.) that not only accommodate my orthotics but are deep enough that you don’t see them. I ask you, who wants a giant, chunky thing showing above the bottom of your sandal? Silly question, right? After reading other reviews about being “big”, I ordered a half size smaller and my regular size. I kept my regular size because I use a really cool little terry cloth pad (happy step brand) on top of my orthotics. You would be amazed how absorbent they are and so keep your feet drier. Shoe is deep enough to cover both?. Additionally, my orthotics were a little too long for the smaller sized shoes. I ordered the burgundy, pretty color but casual. I have gotten numerous compliments on them. Look fine with shorts, skorts, casual short skirts and rolled up jeans. I’m waiting for black to come back into stock in my size so I can get another pair. I’m worried they will be discontinued?. I don’t like the light colored soles on the brownish color, yucky looking. I’m still searching for a dressier open toed sandal that work as well as these do. Shoe companies wake up, there are plenty of young women that wear orthotics, not just seniors. No one wants to wear ugly, weird shaped, orthopedic looking shoes. Anyway, I’m really happy with these and believe they are worth a try! Hope this was helpful??

Size was a little larger than typical; I have problematic feet after playing roller derby, having gout and pronation. It's very difficult to find a sandal that says it has arch support that actually has enough to not wear an orthotic. These are really comfortable, and have great arch support.

Cute shoes but Earth should step back and look at the design of the Velcro straps. There are two straps on this shoe. One that wraps around the back of the heel and one over the top of the food. They meet at the side of the foot near the heel. If you need to adjust the straps to their maximum to get the right fit, as I did, the ends of the straps overlap and one of them sticks out over the other. It's annoying because that strap catches on things and it also looks shoddy.

I'm very happy with this shoe. I recently got custom orthotics and was dreading having to wear clunky athletic shoes for the rest of my life, but to my surprise, this cute sandal works great with orthotics! The heel is deep enough that the orthotic doesn't show and the open heel with Velcro strap solves the heel slippage problem that's common with orthotics worn in closed heel shoes. I also like that the cutouts and perforations make this shoe breathable because the orthotics make my feet perspire more than usual. I bought them in my regular size and width and they fit great with plenty of room in the toe even with light weight socks.

Sure wish I could have kept these, since they're so much cuter than a Keen sandal. They do have a flexible/bouncy outsole, really nice leather and soft inside. But, just not enough support/cushion for my needy feet. They run very large, so I suggest a half to full size down.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and feet are badly mangled so I was so delighted to be able to find this shoe which is not only really cute but so comfortable..

Great closed-toe sandals. I typically wear a 6.5-7 W or WW; ordered these in a 6.5 D and they were spot on perfect, after just a wee bit of breaking in to stretch the area over my high instep. I'm not crazy about the style of Velcro straps in general, but the practicality of these , with a strap at the heel as well, counterbalances my Velcro aversion. I will say that they did it right by putting the hook portion on the upper strap, so that any exposed Velcro on the lower strap is the pile, which doesn't snag on knit pants. May order more colors. Definitely a keeper.

Actually, I read many reviews, which confused me, then ordered them because I really liked them so much. The arch support was wonderful, but the shoes were just too small. Not able to get either an 8 1/2 or 8 W, I'm regretfully sending them back. Thank heavens for Zappos policy, but I will try to read reviews more carefully from now on!

FINALLY! A really cute shoe that is so supportive and comfy for my foot problems! I've been suffering with heel pain and plantar fasciitis for months and have tried LOTS of orthotics and several different types of shoes to no avail until now. Easy Spirit Traveltime comes close to helping, but these Earth Curie's have so much support and cushioning built into the shoe itself, I may not need the orthotics. LOVE THEM! Seems kind of crazy to order a sandal-type shoe with cutouts with winter coming soon to the Northeast, but I don't care! They are comfortable--what a great shoe! Highly recommend for people with foot pain.

I was able to take these shoes out of the box and wear them for a day out without any problems. That has not happened for a long time. Arch support is great. Style is cute. Color and appearance stylish. Worth every penny.

Super comfortable just too long. So hard to know when I am a 7 1/2 or an 8!

I purchased these for my mothers summer trip as a backup? pair; of course, she loved them and the color but they were a bit too narrow for her foot. I'm hoping they have a wide width; I think that will do the trick, otherwise I love the style and color, and of course the super fast lightning speed shipping Zappos is known for.

Very comfy shoes with great arch support. I tried to exchange them for a half-size smaller, but that size wasn't available. (I forgot to order a half size down for shoes that I'd be wearing without socks.)

I loved the shoes, but found them long- a half size or even a full size too long. Ordered my regular size 10W, and they are just too big. Sorry that I lost a promo coupon because I can't exchange them, which I would have done happily.

The fit was perfect. It was a very comfortable shoe and in the size that I normally wear (7.5W). I decided to keep the earth Marietta Capella instead, but they were both beautiful fits.

I love these. I am always looking for a closed toe sandal for my work and these are great; supportive and professional enough to pass.

I loved the shoe...I had ankle replacement this year - one foot seems to be a whole size shorter than the other, my little to wanted to stick out of the hole, so sadly I returned them.

I ordered the red in a 9.5, it was too long, so I ordered the black in 9.0, it was too short. So, sadly, there's nothing for me to do except send them both back. (sigh)

I should have paid attention to all the reviews saying this shoe ran large. I ordered my regular size 9.5 and it's way too long, so order a half size down. Believe me. I reordered in size 9; however, the beautiful Bordeaux was sold out so I picked black.

I love this shoe and appreciate the depth and width of the toe box. Nonetheless, I will be returning it to try a slightly wider version.

I love the shoes, very comfortable, they look beautiful. I'm extremely happy. The only thing is that I always order size 7 1/2, but this time they fit a tad longer, I think I would of been fine with size 7. But, I'm so happy with them, that I didn't want to part with them. Thank you.
