These shoes are beyond fabulous! I had major foot surgery (to correct a botched surgery several years ago) and now have a plate in my foot, so am limited on heel height - no higher than 1.75". My foot is also still in the recovery stage, so swells a bit sometimes. The velcro at the front and around the ankle is great! And I feel like I can walk miles in these! I have also had many compliments because they are gorgeous and make my size 11 feet look gorgeous!

Such elegant wedges and a great color. Gorgeous. Perfect. Love everything about them. I am a size 10M, low volume foot with long toes and narrow heels. I have flat feet and need good arch support and heel stability. These fit like a glove. They are very stylish and comfortable. Clearly well made.

These are very stylish sandals. Because of the Velcro strap, they are perfect for someone with one foot wider across the ball of the foot than the other. Then there’s Zappos’ unbeatable customer service! Thank you all you great customer care agents!

All was true to size, width, etc. I will say that the strap is stiff because of the velcro placement and it could be a little more "bendable." The strap rubs a little on my ankle and because of the velcro on the inside of the strap beings so "stiff," it doesn't make the strap look "round" around my ankle. It's more "angular, pointed" or "cornered" looking where the velcro on the inside was sewn and does not have that "rounded" look around the ankle as I would have preferred. I hope that makes sense. If I can figure out a way to not have the strap rub around my ankle, the shoe is very comfortable other than that on the soft sole part. It's very "cushy" when you walk and that feels really nice.

Great shoe! Very comfortable right out of the box. Looks good with jeans, dress slacks, or dresses.

I own many pairs of the Pixie style and was excited to try this variation w the adjustable Velcro toe strap. The shoe fit well but the underside of the toe strap was rubbing my toes raw after a few minutes of walking around the house. Very poor quality lining and stitching right next to your skin. Disappointed. They are being sent back. I'll stick w Pixies.

So adorable. I have long toes + top of my feet are thin so the velcro straps adjust well but the shoe still looks stylish. Thinking about getting the black ones too because it's so comfy!

I really wanted to love these shoes! I had two issues with them. One, the toe strap is rather thin and my foot is slightly wide, so the look was a little bit like stuffed sausage. However, I was willing to overlook this because I really liked how comfortable these shoes are, and they look dressy enough for work (business casual summer). The deal breaker is that the ankle strap didn't seem to sufficiently hold the shoe on my foot; each time I set my foot down, my heel felt off center. I may have been able to resolve this by tightening the strap further, but I was headed towards sausage legs as well. I returned these for the Naot Alba (better fit/comfort, but slightly less dressy IMO due to fabric).

Unfortunately, because the velcro across the toe and at the ankle is stiff and rough, I will be returning these. Just trying them on and walking around my house for a couple of minutes was enough for me to know that these will not work for me. Additionally, if you loosen the velcro, it is very visible, and I don't care for the visual aesthetic. Very disappointing, as I had high hopes for these sandals.

This could be an awesome sandal, had it been designed to adjust for wider feet, not just narrower. in order to have them fit me comfortably I had to loosen both straps, which exposed velcro on both. This is clearly a design flaw and not wearable for me. And speaking of style, I wish Naot would cover the cork on the side of the sole and make the shoe look a little less casual.

Own these in almost every color. One of the few shoes that doesn't hurt my feet and doesn't make me feel like a grandma. I hurt my foot recently and my foot is swollen so I love that the straps are adjustable so I can still wear them. Very cute, get compliments on them.

These pretty shoes have a comfortable sturdy insole and an adjustable strap across the front. I wish the strap were just a bit wider to do a better job of covering my bunion, but the velcro extension will make it work. They seem a bit narrower than other Naots I own, but they are the most comfortable dressy sandals I have found.

Look like granny shoes in the picture but are adorable and VERY stylish on my feet. It alchemy.

The Naot Mermaid is a great shoe. I have very narrow feet and have a hard time finding shoe that fit. The Mermaid’s velcro straps allows me to adjust the width of the shoe. The shoes is very stylish and comfortable.

The adjustable straps fit my very narrow feet! Excellent arch support & bottom of shoe is cushioned! I usually have a great deal of difficulty getting comfortable & stylish shoes! Pricey but well worth it to me ~ can dress up or down!

I am a Naot fan - particularly because I have narrow feet and they fit. These shoes are really cute. Have not worn them yet and am a bit anxious about the front part rubbing my foot because it is adjustable. Other than that they fit great.

I love this style. It is similar to the Naot Pixie but with an adjustable toe. Naot runs a tiny bit narrow for me and I have a number of Pixie styles. It is very comfortable and I wish it came in a variety of colors like the Pixie does.

I liked the style and color. Unfortunately, I'm a Size 4 and 4'10" and the foot bed was a little big, but not noticeable. However the ankle strap was too high for me.

I appreciate the relatively cute styling but with the comfort of a leather covered cork footbed and velcro adjustable straps, but my foot feels so unsupported like it is going to fly out of the shoe or I will turn my ankle at any point. I think I might just be too uptight for the free-as-a-bird sandals. :) I usually wear a 7.5-8, wide in the toe and narrow in the heel, and these fit well in size 7. The Naot's without velcro adjustable straps are too tight on my toes. The matte black color looks a little rustic for the price. I would prefer patent black leather to dress these up.

How are these well rated ?? All you feel is Velcro. They’re poorly made. The stitching is uneven and there are glue leaks. Not to mention, they’re wide and scratchy where your skin does touch them. What a waste of money !

These are so cute and comfortable! Bought in 2 other colors. If in doubt, buy them! You love them! If you are a half size, go up to the next size.

Recent foot surgery...purchased based on another reviewers similar situation. Wore them many hours at my son's wedding and had no foot pain. Loving these shoes and wearing them so much, I'm back on Zappos to see if I can get them in black too. My only issue is I would like a size 12 option. I'm a tiny bit over a size 11, so my toes are threatening to creep over the edge of these shoes.

Love the shoe and have a pair in natural and silver. Naot is a fabulous brand and always check them out to see whether there is new style I want.

These shoes are so comfortable. I have a bunion and have a hard time finding shoes that don't hurt. These have an adjustable ankle strap and the cork strap across the toes is soft and doesn't dig into my toes at all.
