I am a sneaker girl, so usually anything with a heel is out. I took a chance, and these are great. Very comfortable, I can wear them to work where I am on my feet a large part of the day. Size 41 fits perfectly, and I usually take size 11.5 in sneaksers

Y'all! These are SO CUTE in person! I'm in love! I can't wait to wear them this Summer. I normally wear 8.5-9, depending on the brand. After reading the other reviews, I decided to go with size 39. It fits perfectly! I've only worn them around the house so far, but they're very comfortable. I love that I'm able to adjust them in 2 places for the perfect fit.

I am so very happy that Alegria has begun to come out with some very stylish shoes that fit my quirky foot! I’m hoping this trend continues!

I'm hoping to get used to the style, a bit frumpy looking but after quickly training them on at home they felt so good that I have to give them a chance. Really comfy for me which is a very big deal! Thank you to Zappos to being so helpful in trying to find shoes for my impossible feet!!! I LOVE ZAPPOS!!!!

I am an Alegria fan with difficult feet (capsulitis, bunions, heel pain, wide toe area, narrow heel). This style not only looks fantastic on (esp. the red) but is comfortable and secure to walk in. The only reason I returned is because I couldn't justify a pair of red "heels" at this time. I will definitely be re-buying these when I need shoes for dressing up. Love them!

The sizing on this brand is a little off. Most 38 are a size 7.5-8 and a 39 is 8.5-9. I am in between your sizing, I am more of an 8.5, the 38 in your sizing is 8 -8.5 which is just a smidge small but not enough to be uncomfortable. I love these shoes and the red is a true red.

These are amazing comfort and so cute. I find that even though Alegria size chart days I should wear a 39 they are way too small so I always size up to 40. I’m a standard size 9 in Clark’s as a comparison. I am definitely going back to purchase in another color. These are great shoes and I hope they make more like this. Zappos’s please post a video too. I SO wanted to keep these; super cute. I would have kept them if all I had to do was stand, as they had good support and were comfortable. Sadly the issue was with walking there’s no bend in the sole and all of the stress settled in the big toes, also developed a hot spot on pinkie toe after attempting to wear for about 10 minutes.

I am 72 and needed a pair of red shoes to wear to our 50th wedding anniversary party. I wore these shoes all afternoon and they were so comfortable. Loved them. I had a pair of red flats and decided these shoes were far more comfortable. Highly recommend

I have been wearing the Allegria Classic shoe for many years now and find it is very comfortable. I was delighted to see the new style -Alegia Tarah- which is a comfortable fit and supportive and looks nice for going out with friends. I bought it in three colors. Wish they also made it in a patent leather or silver to wear to dress affairs like a wedding etc. I need a good supportive shoe due to back issues and alegria has never failed me. It would be lovely if they could use this same style but dress it up for more formal wear for those of us who would never be able to wear the styles so popular among the very young or those with no foot or back problems. It is a find and I have been looking for something like this for quite a while. I especially like the adjustable straps that each person can use to make the fit perfect for their foot.

I have at least 7 or 8 pair of Allegria shoes (sandals, clogs, Mary Jane style and recently a pair of boots). They are the only shoes that give me adequate arch and heel support for my plantar fasciitis. I still needed a pair of dressier shoes for special occasions. I simply can’t wear heels or anything with a hard sole anymore. Life’s too short to go through it with sore feet and knees. Thought I’d give these a try. I’m so pleased! Super comfortable, attractive, and will work perfectly with most of my business suits and nicer dresses. I think they will even work with a little black cocktail dress! Thanks Allegria and Zappos!

These are my go to comfort dress shoes. I love the fabric inside and the shock absorbing it soul. I’d love to see these more patterns.

I originally ordered size 41, but it was a bit too long and wide. Returned them and ordered one size down (40) from my usual, and the fit, style, and comfort level are perfect.

Loved everything about this shoe, but it was too big. Had to return and order one size down.

Alegria 39 is similar to Dansko 40. This is an excellent, very stable comfortable shoe. I’m 9 c width, high arch, narrow heel. Tarah has nice cush insole as do all Alegria shoes. Highly recommend. My 10 th pair of Alegrias, all are long lasting and well made.

Love this shoe. I normally wear a 39 in Alegria shoes but after reading reviews that this shoe runs small, I bought both a 39 and 40. The 39 feels too small in the toe box but fit other than that. Perhaps I could have gotten used to it as it stretched, but I generally don't like tight shoes so I kept the 40 instead. It does seem a bit roomy though so we'll see. I love the look and these are very comfortable. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about how the velcro on Alegria shoes wears out before the shoe. I have had many Alegria Mary Jane style shoes over the years and I always slip them on and off. There is no reason to undo the velcro every time you put them on, thus no problem with velcro wearing out. Though Alegria shoes are pricey they are definitely worth the money. They last forever, look timeless, and you can always replace the insole when they feel less cushiony with use.

I really love this shoe. I love the wood-look sole contrasted with the black leather. It's comfortable right out of the box. I love that it can be worn year-round. With the cutout on the side and the open heel it is summery enough for hot weather and with the closed toe I can wear it in winter. It's not too dressy and not too casual. I was comparing it to a similar Dansko style and felt this was a little less clunky looking and I liked that the toe was not as round. Overall a perfect shoe for me!

If you're an online shoe-shopper like me, then you know how rare it is for shoes you haven't tried on to be absolutely perfect. My new Alegria Tarahs are just that. They feel as though they were sculpted just for my often fussy feet. They're as cute in person as they are in the photo, and the red is just glorious. I couldn't be more thrilled with them. I hesitated because they weren't on sale...but these are worth every dollar. Five Stars!

I wear an 11 narrow. Even though these aren't available in narrow, these will work since they have Velcro straps which I tighten to the maximum placement. The bed isn't bad, but isn't as soft as I'd like, so I will still add a Dr Scholl's in it. I pretty much have to do that in every pair of shoes. This is my 3rd pair of Allegria. Love these shoes, just wish they made them in narrow. Style is definitely "comfort" look, but not as bad as some, so I'm happy with them.

Actually, the jury is still out, and I should learn to order shoes in two sizes when I'm wavering about which will fit. I ordered the 41 (American size 10, per Alegria) because that's the size I wear in Dansko clogs, and those fit me fine. However, the Alegria (my 1st time ordering this brand) seemed a tad long in the 41. I went to order the 40 for comparison, but of course Zappos was out of that size & the color I wanted, so I'm waiting until it's back in stock. That said, I love the style and quality of the shoe, plus the arch support seems good. The ability to adjust both the ankle strap as well as the back/heel strap is also a thoughtful plus for this style. Style-wise, although they are essentially clogs, they don't look like it all that much: they're a bit more refined. I bought them to wear to work with skirts and tights.

The size was good. I usually wear a 38 or 39 and I ordered a 39. However these shoes instantly made my feet hurt. As in pain! Felt like a large marble under the inner arch area with no give. I have fallen arches and these shoes did not work for me. That aside, they are really cute, and the color, cognac, is just like the picture. Too bad I have to return them. Zappos is so great about that, you really are not taking a risk when you order. Free both ways.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I tried the 41 (my usual Alegria size) and found them too big. The 40 were a tad bit small and I would have kept them except the arch support on one foot hit in the wrong place and started to hurt. I'm so disappointed.
