After purchasing the Platinum Elite Business Backpack in Vintage Grey, I was excited to add my next piece as I build up my collection. The Platinum Elite Carry-On Regional Duffle is perfect in so many ways. While style is as important to me as function, I am so disappointed the only option for color is black. What? I am building my collection around the Elite line in Vintage Grey and I have to see this in black. What are you thinking??? For this you only get four stars. Please add at least Vintage Grey!

A BAG OF THIS NATURE SHOULD HAVE MORE SEPARATE COMPARTMENTS IN IT. A GOOD OVERNIGHT BAG WOULD HAVE THOSE FEATURES. HAVING ONLY ONE BIG SPACE DOES NOT ALLOW ONE TO ORGANIZE OVER NIGHT TRAVEL ITEMS BETTER. .

I like the bag. And yes it does fit under the average airliner seat in front of you. I think it could be wider. I am not sure if there are legal issues with that but I compared size to my backpack and my back pack was wider. It also may be that it isn't wider due to being slid onto the roller board bag or the spinner bag. Now with all that said I think the bag feel totally travelpro durable. It feels as though it will last a very long time. :)

This bag has been both extremely useful and very disappointing at the same time. First the pros: The size and organization are as close to perfect as you'll find. I looked at dozens of bags (and even bought a few) during my quest to replace a ~20 year Travelpro Platinum duffel that finally wore out. This ended up being my choice because it both holds a lot and has compartments for practically anything. That's extremely helpful when you're someone like me who uses a bag like this as a catch-all for items that either don't belong in a suitcase (electronics, etc.) or need to be easily accessible (travel documents, medical supplies, accessories, etc.). In my case, that often includes 2 laptops, a tablet, various chargers and cables, a change of clothing, a "medical kit" (from experience, I'm prepared for anything), and numerous other thinsgs. Yet I never find myself having to rummage through the bag to find something. That said, this bag has one MAJOR con (which Travelpro is unfortunately somewhat known for): the zippers are absolutely horrendous. In past generations, the problem was always the zipper pulls. They would simply break off regularly. But that's just a minor nuisance. Now it's the whole darn zippers that break. The outermost zipper on my bag - for the compartment used for things like airplane tickets and passports - is now permanently wide open because the teeth of the zipper don't stay together anymore. And the other zippers are all sticky and showing early signs of impending failure as well. While I'm admittedly a heavy traveler who puts any bag through its paces (~150k miles/50 flights per year), that's still pretty awful for a "platinum" level bag after 1 year of usage. Would I buy it again: No. Great design, but poor execution.

After one use the threads by the zipper are coming undone. Granted, the bag really full, but I think it should have held. Also the zipper should be longer to open the bag more fully.

It is solidly constructed, but I was hoping for something with more capacity.

Quality was fine; however, it looks bigger than it is. I returned it because it should be considered a tote not a duffle bag.

Well constructed but too small for a weekend duffle. Does not have the room most other duffles offer.

I was seeking a soft duffle bag to replace an awesome travelpro bag that I've had for years. It is actually not a soft bag ...a bit too "structured" so not what I was expecting. I have returned the bag. Great bag... just not what I wanted.
