I buy a lot of Cole Hahn shoes. I really wanted to like these, as I have been searching in vain for a black suede stretch boot. However, these I could have pulled on they were so wide. And I'm pretty average size - 5'5" and 130 lbs. with athletic calves. The footbed felt nice but the look was not at all what I was going for. I'm sending them back.

Love these! They are amazingly comfortable and sleek looking. The heel is not as high as I was looking for at first, but I can wear these all day and they felt like butter from the first time I tried them on. Perfect!Martha

I loved this boot from day 1. I've worn it several times and each time for 6 hours or more, even several hours standing/walking. Very comfortable, absolutely beautiful, and although a little pricy - worth it. I do not plan to wear them in rain or with snow/salt on the ground because the suede is just too beautiful to risk ruining.

The calves are way too big for me

They were hard to zip however and this is going to sound strange but it works. I ordered a 1/2 size larger then put the boot on with it zipped up and it worked. The stretch is too stiff to zip easy but zipped up and it worked great and I love them.

Cheap - the heel broke after 4 wears.

Beautiful, classy boot

I love these boots! I bought the black suede in 5.5, which fit perfectly. I have to admit that at first the boot felt too tight on my feet and I don’t have wide feet, then I realized the boots had a firmer (than I’m used to) black toe guard (then stuffed with the usual paper). I hadn’t taken those out. Oops! But those will be useful for keeping the shape when they sit in my closet. Which may not be often. I haven’t worn them out yet but I tried several outfits and walked around quite a bit with them on. They will be perfect for teaching 2.5 hour long classes at the end of an already busy day. The heal is low enough to stand on for hours but high enough to make them look a little less casual. They look great with skinny jeans and dresses (skirts). I also like that they’re more fitted since I’m very petite and sometimes I look swallowed up by tall boots.

Very nice-looking boot, but Stretch doesn't really mean... stretch. Calves were not wide enough for me.

I loved these boots, unfortunately they ran a little small and my size is not available.

I have trouble finding footwear due to peripheral neuropathy and high arches. These did not disappoint. They are so very comfortable right out of the box! Not to mention how stylish they are. They are great quality. Thank you again Cole Haan and Zappos!

I LOVED this boot. It's beautiful! Only problem, my fault not yours, was too tight on my calf.

This is a gorgeous boot! I was "lured" by the word "stretch" in the name as I have a wide calf and hoped that I would be able to zip them. Unfortunately, I was not able and had to return the boot. Too bad, it is nearly impossible to find a practical blue boot and this one is otherwise PERFECT!

The boots turned out to be just the color I wanted, they're stylish and comfortable and I love them!

I am trying to fight off the urge to buy these in another color. Walking around the house, they were comfortable. The look is SO CUTE, too! Love them. I usually only buy from my "go to" comfortable brands, since I hate having to return (which I find myself constantly doing), but these were the only blue knee high boots I could find, so I took a risk. Glad I did!

Despite the "stretchy" shaft, I could not zip them up. Admittedly, I've got really muscley calves, and this is usually my trouble in finding cute boots. I thought the stretchy panels would be more forgiving. Le sigh. And so the search continues.

Stretchy shaft, but not stretchy enough for wide calves. Beautiful boot otherwise, nice shape soft leather. I am so disappointed to have to return them.

I should have listened to the other reviewers on the lack of stretch to the boot shaft. There is no stretch. At. All. The boots look really nice, but unfortunately they were returned.

I normally wear a 7.5 in boots and often in wide as I have wide feet and a bunion on one of them. These boots are very pretty, however, I am a fan of anything navy. I got lots of compliments on them at work with many telling me I looked "retro." Yes, the elastic is stiff but I think it is necessary to keep the suede up based on the zipper running up the back of the entire boot. The heel is not too high and I like that as I have knee issues. When I first got them out of the box, I thought 'oh no, they look so small.' However, I put them on and they felt maybe a little more snug than I would like but I had plenty of toe room and room in the heel. I like a snug arch. I think they will break in over time and am going to keep them. No problems with the calves, mine are not huge and I am of athletic build. As always, Zappos did not disappoint and they arrived within one day! Would have given all 5 stars if they were a tad wider. The forefoot cushioned foot bed was a nice touch. Love Cole Haan. Good stuff!

These look fantastic! The stretch fabric is very comfortable and hugs the calf in an attractive way. On me, diameter of the shaft means that they would only go with a skirt or with pants on the outside. (Possibly thin leggings inside, but I don't do those.) I rarely wear a skirt because of my job, and like my boots showing. Also, with my wider foot, I could tell they wouldn't be comfortable for a practical amount of time (a day at work, going out to dinner, etc.), so I had to return them. GREAT choice for the fashionable with easier-to-please feet, though!

Beautiful boot, nice heel height! Sadly the leather felt very stiff and the stretch panels don’t stretch. I had to return.

The fit was pretty true to size, but maybe I would go up a half size for heavy socks. The top of the boot hit my knee so didn’t like that. The comfort wasn’t that great so I would go for another boot (maybe because I usually wear a shorter heel). Returned.

The side of the boot is beautiful. From the front and back it looks like vinyl. My calf measures 13 1/2”, the top of the boot was so wide that it looked silly. I am 5’5, and the top of the boot hit my knee. I am returning.

So disappointed. Loved the style but they were quite tight. Even other brands that don't have the stretching feature I was able to zipped up. If you have wide calves probably wont be the right shoe for you.

I liked the look of the boot, but the footbed was so narrow. I checked to make sure the width was a medium (which it was) but the area near the balls of my feet were very tight. It was to the point where I had to take them off because my bones were hurting. I returned them.
