These Aerios have become my go to everyday hiking and walking non-specialist shoe, pushing my trusty and well travelled Meindl's to one side, and mostly replacing my Brasher Superlights. Just lace and go - these are flexible, light, fast, fit like a glove and waterproof. A revelation being more trainer but with enough support to protect my ankles. All in all a good purchase and a happy customer.

Took these straight out of the box and put them through a 9 hr hike up Joss mtn. Paired with some smartwool phds and carrying a 30 lb pack, my feet were the happiest part of my body. Didn't even think about my feet the whole time, sign of a great shoe. Plenty of support descending, and handled the heat well.

I really like these shoes. Right out of the box they were comfy, and after miles of use, I had no issues. I spent a day hiking in sand and assumed they'd fill up. I was shocked when I took them off and they were empty! My only complaint are the laces. I'd like something beefier. The eyelets seem too small to replace with aftermarket laces.

I've bought these shoes for a hiking/biking holiday in Nepal. They proved very versatile: excellent grip & support, no water inside (althought I had two days of heavy rains) and very comfortable. And not for the least: many compliments from my travel companions for the looks. Although not cheap certainly worth the money!

One of the more breathable models of hiking boots I've ever owned (even waterproof), super light, super supportive. I feel super confident with the Vibram Megagrip, even on the most questionable terrain. Wore it for 15hrs straight while volunteering at a race and didn't even notice I had it on!

I used them on a road with plenty of water, ice, noece and mud, their behavior was like the brand promises it did not enter the water in them the only thing wet was the sweat of the feet, or which the shoe dried back, if It is not annoying to wear shoes with less support, these would be a very good option!

These boots are a great evolution of my beloved Norvan LD GTX running shoes which I have already been using as my Summer/Fall hikers last year. Differences from the Norvan LD: - slightly more grippy outsole - more rugged materials and toebox - higher ankle for better support and less chance of debris getting in - a little roomier Only used for a month but I can already see these becoming my Go To shoe for most conditions with only very hot weather and snow/ice requiring another choice. Have used in damp and muddy UK conditions but have not yet tested in full heavy rain so cannot comment on waterproofness yet. I believe these would be perfect for long multi-day hikes due to the lightweight, comfort and all-round strong design.

Quality as always from Arcteryx. Length fits true and they are a tad narrow but my right foot is just a bit wide for these.

I bought this prior to winter use in and around urban and light trail usage. It's great protection against minus 30 to walking on light trails. The gore Tex membrane on this works great, However, I found the laces in this shoes are way too long and comes untied easily. The shoes (tongue) should have pockets like the norvan LD to store the laces. Just saying!

Nice shoes. The soles are pretty hard but that doesn’t bother me a lot. The nylon upper is well made and will hold up to desert hiking. Will probably have to buy new laces, they don’t stay tied very tight.

I've owned this boot for 6 months using it for rainy days in the city and the occasional hike/snowshoe. I'm really happy with the quality - it still looks like new. Importantly the waterproof membrane seems to be intact. I have found that other goretex shoes develop leaks where creases form in the upper during use. This boot is rigid which prevent creases in the upper but I'm sure its also comparatively well constructed. This shoe does have a unusual feature that I haven't had a problem with in any other shoe: on rainy days I find that it flicks water up from my heel during toe-off and I end up with wet pant legs near my ankles.

Very good shoe in terms of grip and comfort. The only downside as others have already mentioned, the area where you tie your shoe laces tears very easily. I have a tear on mine after 1 20 mile hike. Aside from that blemish that seems to occur after heavy use, the shoe is great

Purchased around November 2019 but not really worn much due to restrictions, bought mainly for walking the dog's in uk spring summer time. Light and comfortable but noticed to be on the small side as in cooler months when wearing thicker socks becoming a little tight . Will size upto 10.5 next time.

Purchase date was April 2020. Review of product after 10 months. I preferentially wear the shoes in wet conditions: any amount of rain, snow or during walks in damp conditions. So, I may wear the shoes regularly or intermittently. I estimate 60-70 hours of actual wear. The good: - almost zero break-in period (a minor heel hot-spot that resolved with minimal wear) - exterior shows minimal wear and tear - goretex worked as advertised (see below about possible breakdown) The only minor issue is the interior fabric that sits adjacent to the lower Achilles broke down early in the life of the shoe (within 2 months of purchase). I don't think there was an impact on the performance of the goretex membrane. I didn't notice any discomfort from the wear and tear. Summary: as expected, the shoes were comfortable out of the box (with a minor issue) and remain comfortable even after many hours of use, which includes many soakers. The exterior of the shoe is robust and has not broken down, despite a decent effort. The interior heel fabric broke down sooner than I expected. This is a minor problem, as I don't think this issue resulted in poor performance of the goretex membrane or foot discomfort. While I am not comfortable recommending products, I will likely purchase another pair or two for future use.

I have worn these boots for 3 months for Nordic Walking daily in a rural area. They are brilliantly comfortable and true to size. But, the material around the ankle wicks moisture from for example wet grass into the shoe, not what you want from a Gore Tex shoe, The vibram soles are not wearing well in the mid foot and rear of heel. These areas need a more robust compound. Due to Covid restrictions they have not been worn in Mountain environments where I would expect additional wear on the sole. This shoe is getting there but given the cost they do need some minor improvements.

AERIOS FL MID GTX SHOE MEN'S = Lightweight Mid Gore-Tex Sneakers, NOT Boots! I've been wearing Arc'Teryx Apparel & Gear for over 20 years, first time purchasing their footwear. I wanted to wait until Arc'Teryx dialed their Boots & Sneakers in. The Arc'teryx Men's Aerios FL Mid GTX are nothing but lightweight Mid Gore-Tex Sneakers, and that's what I wanted. These are NOT boots! These are lightweight sneakers with slight ankle protection/support that utilizes lightweight and breathable waterproof Gore-Tex. I am looking for and wearing more and more Gore-Tex Sneakers, so the more Gore-Tex to add to my footwear collection the better! It's nice to have options depending on the season, weather, and temperature to add to my footwear quiver. You don't always want to have to wear your heavy hiking-boots that lacks underfoot comfort just to keep your good and expensive sneakers nice and clean and feet dry. Pros: Styling is super sleek as I like. They come in Black, a must! OrthoLite Insoles. Cons: That I would like to see the Arc'Teryx Designers tweak. I would like to see the midsole have additional cushioning of 1-2 mm in the fore-foot, and 2-3 mm under the heel for needed added cushioning. The Vibram Megagrip it's not so "mega", but that's fine because I wanted them for every-day use in damp rainy conditions and not to be able to slip on wet tarmac. The Vibram Megagrip is not as aggressive as expected but that's ok, it will do. I would also like to see more needed arch support. Also I noticed on the second pair I ordered that the sole and midsole glue was slightly sloppily executed. Sizing/Fitment: I feel they run true to size. BUT they do run a quarter size long in the fore-foot. I would like to see the length shortened by 2 mm! If you have a mid-volume foot and are in-between sizes I would recommend going down a half size. I always need and require a performance fit, the Aerios FL Mid GTX have that but I would like to see an additional eyelet on the fore-foot like the climbing laces set-up utilized on the Acrux TR GTX Boots. Quality: Undetermined. I don't care about grams, ounces and weight. I care about styling, fitment, underfoot comfort, lockdown, durability, longevity, and most importantly quality! As a Creative Director & Designer I've always stated and recommended to corporate, if there's footwear that's popular why not make it in two different widths, one Performance Width which is what I need and desire, and one Wide Width to make every end-user happy. GearFreakNY :)
