I expect better from Arc'Teryx. I have the Flexfit model & the headband is too big which causes it to bunch up & quickly becomes uncomfortable to wear (as well as leaves impression marks on my head). Also feel like they could have used a little less material which would allow the top of the cap to not point up.

I thought I had found the perfect hat. Fits perfectly in the color I like but it stains so easily.

The front of my black hat changed colors even after regular washing by hand. This is for the Flexfit version. I won't be buying this version again. Try their trucker hat. It's way more durable. (Note: Arc'teryx's customer support has already taken care of me. Thanks!)

I bought this product and after just a couple of outings it developed a stain around the peak after following the guidelines online I tried to get them out but no luck. Shame because I loved the fit and colour of this product otherwise

Really like the look of the hat and the initial fit, even though I do think a few sizes would be nice, however I have issues with the materials and quality. The elastic band inside the hat bunches up after the slightest bit of moisture (this is a hat, and this band goes across the forehead...) I initially thought it was a defect, and exchanged it for another which I was very careful with, and the same thing happened again. The bunched elastic is hard and knobby, digs into one's forehead and leaves red marks. I have had many a fitted hat with an elastic band inside and I have never had this happen before. It renders what once was a totally comfortable hat very uncomfortable.

Sorry but the sizing is a huge disappointment. Doesn't fit at all and I have average head. Not what I was expecting from Arc. Give us some quality design please.

I had the good old Bird cap for many years and loved it. Now I wanted a new one and to my surprise suddenly it's a 100% polyester and only one-size-fits-all. I bought it anyway, but I am so disappointed! I don't like the new cap one bit. The polyester feels cheap, sweaty and unnatural - well, because it is. In the comments you guys say that you sometimes listen to your customers. Come on, you must be joking? The cap simply got cheaper to produce but ain't cheaper to buy. Using plastic is never an improvement. Instead it is about maximizing profit.

I reviewed the old version on this hat back in November and cited the problem with the colour fading on all 3 of my black hats. Arcteryx (as always) was amazing when I brought them in for warranty review. They agreed to replace all three! A few months later I was thrilled when the new ones came out and got one in black and one in blue. When they arrived and I squeezed it onto my 7 3/8" head, I could only last 20 minutes before having to remove it because of the headache it caused. I really, really wanted it to work but it simply won't. I'll have two happy friends now that I'm forced to pawn this out. The old S/M and L/XL worked great for everyone! Hope they consider brining it back!

I like the shape of this hat, flex fit is nice and comfortable, but the hat fits really shallow. It sits about 1 inch above my ear, which feels weird and it always feels like it'll easily fall off of my head, especially when I'm running. Other flex fit hats don't fit like this, and it would feel much better if it didn't have the weird fit.

J'adore cette casquette, a m'a pris du temps pour en trouver une qui m'aille bien ! Malheureusement, comme je l'avais dj lu sur une critique d'un autre utilisateur, cette casquette en noire ne garde pas la couleur, tche et dteint :( Je suis du car j'adore Arcteryx, mais des fois ils l'chappent - les gants Rivets qui se dcouent...- et cette casquette. Elle n'aura dure que 3 mois. Dommage et inacceptable pour cette marque.

I prefer the older version of the cover with the white bird logo, the black logo is not visible at all. This might as well be a blank hat!

I bought this black Bird cap about 1 year ago. I used it on about 10 hikes, but now some areas are turning brown/rust, presumably because of the sun and sweat. I haven't washed it yet. It's unfortunate that the color degrades that rapidly because I otherwise like the style. I was going to buy a second one in green, but now I'll look for something else or wait for the improved version.

I've had this had not even a week and it started staining. the stain is brown/rusty. it wasn't exposed to water or anything. I thought it was dirt. but it seems like sunlight damages the hat, I'm not entirely sure. I am disappointed, I love arc'teryx products, it looks and fits great.

Definitely not one size fits all. It is much smaller than the previous model. If you have a slightly bigger than average head it won’t fit at all. Such a bummer that arcteryx changed their sizing since this hat was my favorite.

Bought one of the new snap-back caps to replace an older Arc'teryx FlexFit ball cap. Compared to the old FlexFit caps, the material of this new model feels cheap, looks cheap, and the hat discoloured from sweat after about two months of regular use. The FlexFit hats used to last me 12-18 months each and I wore through five or six of the old ones. These are the same as the old caps but the quality is now a fraction of what it used to be.

Wore this once only to find prominent stains. I tried to wash with stain remover but they still persist!!! Wish I read the reviews before deciding to keep it.

I bought it month ago after 3 time using it sweat mark is appearing on the front and i washed it 3 times with mild soap , and the stain is still there. Definitely not worth the money and a detractor for the brand

Sizing is just not right - if you're L/XL it's too small. And the snap fit is cheap & nasty. Got returned. Sorry guys - this one is a miss!

I have owned two previous versions of this hat and loved them both. I wear a 7 1/8 fitted hat and this would not fit on my head without pulling down with power. When it was on my head, the top of the hat rises up like a cone head. The previous Arc hats were 97% cotton while this is 100% polyester. This is likely why it didn't meet expectations.

Have the previous Bird Cap model (with Flexfit) for over 6 years and its still in good shape, this new model is just cheap. New model is a down grade with snap back adjustment strap (instead of Flexfit) and mine began to stain pink from my sweat within a few days (not even from a rigorous hike) just from a light workout in the gym. Needless to say I am disappointed in the drop in quality, especially for the price.

Bought this black bird cap a year ago , never worn it , it gave me a sore head , no flex in the black elastic on this model, the previous one was a perfect fit s/m , the one size fits all is not true, and should not be described as that , look at the reviews arc, go back to the previous design,

The new version is much smaller than Original Bird Cap. The L/XL original fix perfect now the new version I need to put it on the very last setting on the plastic size adjustment to be able to wear it.

I bought it 1 week ago, just before going on vacation and after 1 hike, the color of the cap became yellowish. I know that after a few uses, color eventually fades but after one-time use, it's unacceptable. I don't recommend this product.

Too small. Really wanted to keep this hat for my husband but it’s too small. He usually wears a s/m and this was far too small.
