Bought these for our trip to the Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Can't tell you how many miles we walked and hiked over the two weeks in September. Most comfortable walking/hiking shoe i've owned so far. They held up extremely well in rocky and dusty and very hot environments. The shoes breathe well making for all day comfort. Great traction and support. Had them 7 months with everyday use and holding up very well. Will buy these again!

Fits great, material is awesome. 3rd pair of this exact shoe. Only shoe that I've worn through all the treads on before rest of the shoe fell apart.

The shoes felt great right out of the box. I have worn them now for several days and no soreness at all. I bought these as replacement Merrils and am again satisfied. Great for general walking, hiking, working.. You might consider the waterproof version as an alternate if you plan on hiking alot.

Replaced an older pair of pulsate shoes that were the best fitting hiking shoe I have worn. The new pair broke in fast and are just as comfortable as my old ones. I was not sure of the "Wide" term as the last pair was a 2EE, but the "wide" fits like the 2EE. I compare the comfort to my brooks running shoes.

Both knees and both hips replaced, having shoes that support and properly fit is essential. I have a regular width foot, but the orthotics I need to insert caused me to go with 11 W. I take out the provided insole, insert a flat spenco insole instead and add the orthotics and I'm delighted!

Really impressed with the shoes. Got them for hiking. Also great for walking the dogs through the neighborhood daily. They are super comfortable right out of the box. No need to break them in.

Recently purchased two other Merrell styles that were too tight in the toe box, the Annex Track Low and the Chameleon 7. The new Pulsate 2 fits just as good as the original Pulsate, so I am pleased to get back to my favorite Merrell style.

These are my favorite shoes. Seriously, I find them more comfortable than my sneaker. I originally bought them for a trip where I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking, and I couldn't be happier. They give great support. I happily wear them all day. They wear well. When these need to be replaced, I'll look for an identical pair.

Replacing a years-old pair of Merrell Pulsates. These seem good, similarly sturdy and comfortable.

Great purchase. Shoes fit true to size. First pair I ordered were too big (my fault). The return process was easy and hassle free. New shoes arrived a few days later and were perfect!

very comfortable out of the box.... tried a pair of Oboz first, very comfortable, but beat the hell out of them in 3 mild day hikes here in the Catskills. Next tried a pair of Keens, but for me the heel cup was way too shallow. Have found what i wanted in the Merrells.... excellent comfort right out of the box. A buddy of mine has been trying to get me in Merrells for a while... so we shall see how they hold up. And this all points to why i will always shop at Zappos first, because the customer service is unmatched. They do their very best to get you what you want..... each exchange went smoothly. The last conversation was with Diane(i think) from Long Island, and she was outstanding. We talked for a good while about many things, and it was comfortable and unhurried......Diane(i think) rocks!!

I really looked forward to receiving these shoes. Put them on and walked around the house and my feet hurt. Nuff said!
