I usually wear trail shoes everywhere but they don't breath well so I decided to try these. While I suffer the waterproofness I'm used to with trail shoes, these shoes are amazing. They are amazingly comfortable no matter what I am doing. I work in construction and they make a great office and field transition as well as weekend activity slayers. The grip these shoes offer are unmatched, I can climb an asphalt roof or large boulder on a trail like spiderman. The only downside about the grip is it causes me to make a sound on VCT flooring like I am peeling my feet off the floor. So everyone at the grocery store can hear me coming and my boss knows where I am when I'm at the office. Otherwise easy to wear all day long with no tired feet at the end of the day.

Fit was as expected. The Zappos size finder is a nice feature. I bought these to replace some older adidas outdoor shoes I have had for years but did not have an aggressive enough tread for a family vacation I was planing that involved hiking along Minnesota’s north shore. These shoes out of the box were comfy but I did add an insole for arch support for my feet. They were great for all the hiking we did! Also these look good for everyday being I’m not always going to be off the beaten path. Thanks again Zappos!

Insole is thin as paper, and not at all affixed to the shoe itself. Seems cheaply made. Not having very good luck with Columbia shoes.

Preparing for two weeks walking the cities and towns of Portugal, expecting cobblestone surfaces, I needed a lightweight shoe with good rigidity to be comfortable and save my feet. The Fairbanks succeeded beyond expectations, even after long days walking about during the heat wave. I found the Fairbanks after trying out trail running shoes and knew this was the one. The toe box accommodated my swelling feet, traction was secure, the rough walking surfaces not noticeable, and heat buildup was not a problem after some 75 miles. One concern - the insoles: I expect a need to replace these in the near future.

I’ve had these shoes about 10 days and have logged roughly 20 miles of walking/hiking. They’re holding up well and look great. Very comfortable and I’m using an orthotic insert. I considered the black ones but got the grey/copper and I’m glad I did. They look great.

I own both the insulated boot and the hightop sneaker and I absolutely love them. There is no break in period needed . If I have any complaint it would be that they do not come in wider widths. I actually have a very narrow foot but I have a joint issue In the big toe of my right foot and these shoes fit snugly. I mean, they fit like a glove. If you have wide feet, skip these shoes because you will not find them comfortable. Otherwise, I found the sizing to be pretty precise. I wear a nine in most shoes and the nine, again, other than the width, fit me perfectly, leaving just enough room at the toe so that my foot does not slide down . I am contemplating getting these low tops to complete my collection. As a sidenote, the boots only have 200 g of insulation but I wore them this year in below freezing temperatures walking in 6 inches of snow for over a half a mile and my feet were dry and warm the entire way.

Nice shoes, but felt a bit snug in length and width- even had thin socks on. Overall though, great buy.

I live in a city with cobblestone roads so I wanted some trail runners for walk around shoes. I found these to be comfortable and durable. They're a 3.5/5 to run in as I did use them a bit on grass fields and treadmills but would say I like them more for hiking/walking than running, but they're totally a good value buy.

These Colombias are comfortable trail shoes. The toe box is wide allowing the toes room to splay and there's good support for the arch and around the heel. The heel cup secures my heel in place without needing to tighten down the laces much -- my heel tends to slip in many shoes.

This shoes, for me, were almost perfect! They fit true to size, are great fit a myriad of uses, and look great! This will be the 4th pair I've bought now and i hope you don't get rid of these anytime soon. I've used them for hiking, and well as my everyday shoe. They also are fairly slip resistant, and I work at an Aquarium, so I am walking across slippery surfaces every day! They seem to be fairly sturdy, however the sides tend to rip 1st, but that might be my wife feet :) The only complaint I have is that they should include a second pair of laces or offer them on the store as the green shoes have a unique pattern on their laces that I can't get anywhere else and my 1st pair of laces ripped. Otherwise, these are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!

Actually love these, I use them operationally and they are perfect. I can do anything in them, they fit great, don't squeeze in buildings, feel well balanced, I can wear them all day even with kit, the laces lock in the heel without making it too tight around the rest of the foot. Better than I expected for sure.

These shoes fit well, are extremely comfortable for walking/hiking, but good-looking enough for a night out on the town. Highly recommended.

I have the boot equivalent of this shoe and decided to get this shoe because the boot is so comfortable. It delivers. Fits slightly different in than the boot, arch support feels higher. But outside of that I enjoy wearing it.

Turned out to be very comfortable and light. First, I ordered for myself and liked it a lot. Then, I placed two additional orders for my father and my brother. In total, I ordered 3 pairs of these shoes. All pairs fit very well. In addition, feet does not sweat in these shoes.

I love these, I've had foot and ankle surgery and these and the higher top ones don't make my feet hurt after hours of standing and walking. My back doesn't bother me as much either

Very happy with the Men's Fairbanks Low Shoe! Love the style and the comfort. First day wearing, I walked and hiked 11 miles in Scotland (UK) - no issues!

Very light and comfortable shoe. I wear these daily, not sure I would take them on any serious terrain for hiking. I can wear them all day and they have a wider toe box that doesn't squeeze my toes together.
