Wore these on a multi terrain 111km hike in Spain in rain (no seepage whatsoever though it's not technically waterproof) and sun and it was simply problem free. I used my own orthotics inside so I had ample arch support. From our group of 4 hikers, 2 wore ON cloud ventures and 1 wore another type of Adidas hike shoe, this pair emerged the winner. The ankle support was perfect for my skinny ankles. Wish they would make them in different color ways.

Fit was good- actually better than good! I normally wear at 7.5 but I sized up to 8 to have extra toe room and space for my insoles. SO GLAD I DID! I’ve taken several 5-7 mile hikes with a lot of mixed terrain and they’ve made me happy! They have a lot of grip on the down slopes and plenty of room for my toes to spread as they like to do on all types of terrain. They do however, have a lot of tightness around the ankle. The elastic band is great for providing stability as a good hiking boot should, but it can get a bit too tight if you have thicker ankles or you wear too thick of socks. I’m anticipating they’re going to stretch out from that part with wear. Overall, I’m very happy that I bought these and I’m hoping they last a while.

Unfortunately the stretchy part around the ankle is very tight (I would say I have average width ankles) and the rivet for the laces sat directly on my ankle bone. After wearing them for a few minutes it was too painful. It's too bad. They seemed both useful and stylish but I had to return them.

I really love the look of these shoes, but they are extremely uncomfortable. The shoe has quirky looks that I like but I'm afraid that I cannot wear these at all. The ankle portion is incredibly narrow, actually cutting into your leg, the band around the ankle is extremely tight and the shoelace grommet digs painfully into your ankle bone. Cute shoe but I'm afraid I can't wear them at all.

Just climbed Ben A'an in the trossachs, shoes are so comfortable, more like a running shoe than a hiking boot, great grip only downside is they are not really robust uppers but the weight and comfort more than make up for a minor shortcoming.
love them.

I have a gtx pair and thought it would be good to get a pair for spring summer as my feet get warm easily, love these and wear them everyday!

So glad I finally got them. I took them straight out of the box yesterday and on an 8 miles hike with 2500 elevation. These boots never once hurt my feet. I could have easily kept hiking without one complaint. I've read people went down a size but I thought they were perfect. My feet normally swell toward the ends of my hikes and it allowed for that and will allow for your foot to have room while heading back down a mountain. The padded ankle is another great feature. If your on the fence go ahead and get them. Well worth the price.

These are great hiking shoes. They look great and are so comfortable. Like others say, they do run a little large but that's what I wanted. I don't like to get blisters and I like to put in an innersole. These give me plenty of room. They're lightweight, provide stable footing with a wide base and I love the way they snuggly hold my ankles. Some reviewers said they were too tight and cut off their circulation but I have small ankles and they fit great. I've never had walking/hiking shoes so comfortable. I also ordered the Adidas Outdoor Terrex Free Hiker GTX - they're the same plus waterproof !

This an amended review to my January '20 review. I stretched out the ankle portion with plastic containers (I know, right?) I wore these 5 days hiking in Arizona and they were fantastic. They had extremely good grip on rocks and the ankle support was tight but not uncomfortable. They really supported my ankles. I store them with the plastic containers in them to slightly "stretch" the shoe but now I can wear them comfortably.

Strange very narrow sock like opening on this shoe. Squeezed my ankle without hiking socks on and I don’t have wide ankles at all.

Once you get the right size these feel great. These fit a half to full size larger compared to any other shoe I wear (I wear multiple brands). The cushioning on these is amazing, I love the style for casual wear, but the grip can easily take you on the trails too.
I'd also recommend:

These shoes are definitely badass, but I returned them because the ankle cuff was so tight that it made the skin around and above them puff up! If you have skinny ankles/legs, try them out!

I’m a huge fan of the Adidas Boost shoes, and I loved the style of these hikers. Unfortunately they felt a bit large, and I practically strained a back muscle getting in and out of them as the ankle is enclosed, with the laces used only to tighten up the fit.

These shoes may be the most misrepresented in size I've ever seen. I've now purchased 4 different sizes to try and get a Women's Size 9 that fits my girlfriend (that wears a size 9 W. The Women's Size 9 fits me and has some room (I'm a Men's Size 9.5!).
After buying and returning the super sized W Size 9, We got a W Size 8.5 and 8... both still too big. Finally got a size 7 when it came in and now that's TOO SMALL (of course)! I don't know what Adidas is doing with these.. if they confused this with being a Men's shoe, but I've now returned all 5 attempts. If they ever get a size 7.5 in, we may finally find the right fit.
