My vapor glove 2 are just about to be retired from wear holes along the side mesh, and I love the fit of those. These vapor glove 4 feel the same toe to heel, but lack the same generous room in the toe bed. Because of this change, they are not as comfortable, don't feel like the outer edges of my foot are protected enough, and don't like the way that my feet look any more in these vapor 4. Boxy, shapeless... bullet bill in shoe form. No thanks.

Tried the vapor glove 3 and the vapor glove 4. Ended up keeping the 3. These 4's feel amazingly narrower than the predecessor. I actually had a pair of the original merrell barefoot sneakers (purchased many years ago) and those were actually my all time favorites Sadly, it was time to retire them after many years of use and washes in the machine . The Vapor glove 3 is the closest I've found to the original style. I DO have an extremely wide foot, so if your foot is narrow or average, these 4's should be fine for you

I haven been wearing the Vapor Glove 3, and when it was time for a new pair, I decided to try the new model. For whatever reason, the 4 seemed narrower in the toe box to me than the 3. They were also cut lower on the sides, which I think would allow more dirt/sand to get in. I was hoping they would have the same fit, and that the more aggressive tread would work on rougher trails than the 3. I sent them back and got another 3.

These shoes are super cute, but don't have enough support for me. They fit like a glove and are comfortable, but I chose the Merrell Bare Access Flex 2 E-Mesh instead. I also love the Merrell Siren Edge for even more support. I have two pair of the Siren Edge. These all fit true to my usual size, 7.5.

I was super excited for these but a warning to GYM/Running People, normally on workout shoes you size up a half size, DO NOT DO THIS ON THESE, these are barefoot shoes to simulate natural barefoot running. I made this mistake but as always Customer service is awesome and got my exchanged pair right away. They are super lightweight and will be great for the two 5ks I have coming up!! Can't wait!

I am in love with these shoes! I have transitioned over the past year or so from wearing shoes with custom full-foot orthotic inserts (to alleviate sesamoiditis pain) to zero-drop, foot-shape Altra (great shoes), to a zero-drop, foot-shape, Vivobarefoot boot to now a zero-drop, foot-shape barefoot Merrell Vapor Glove 4. I feel like my feet are finally healthier now (and hopefully my wallet will be too if I can keep wearing this type of shoe and stop the endless, constant search for shoes that were right for my feet). For decades, I would have to order wide shoes to allow my forefoot to not be in pain and later with the orthotics, I would have to order wide shoes a half size or sometimes a whole size larger. I could never have considered anything from Merrell because they were too tight over my forefoot. Until now! I'm so thankful for the whole foot-shape and zero-drop design and I'm looking forward to finally using my feet properly now in these barefoot-style shoes. I'm hooked! I ordered my true size of 6.5 and they fit perfectly.

I needed to replace my Vapor Glove 2 shoes that I loved. The Vapor Glove 4 did the trick. Wearing the barefoot style shoe makes such a difference for my back and hips. Only thing that would make these shoes better is if they came in a solid black.

I bought these to use as a minimalist shoe on the treadmill, and compared these with the vapor glove 3, as well as several inov-8 shoes (I have a discontinued pair of inov-8 trail running shoes that have been my most comfortable shoes ever). These vapor glove 4 shoes were the clear winner. These have not seen much treadmill action yet, but are incredible natural and flexible on the foot, and have a wide, soft toe box that avoids the "clown shoe" feel that some zero-drop, minimalist shoes have. They feel like slightly loose ballet slippers (the true dance slippers, not the fashion ballet slippers) with a bit more protection and traction. The color options are, frankly, not super, but the shoe seems poised to be my new favorite treadmill shoe for walking uphill and light jogging based on my limited experience with it so far. Like other minimalist shoes, it is not recommended for people with heavy heel strike patterns.

I am super bummed about these shoes. I ordered the Vapor Glove 4 cotton in my size which was the last in stock and unfortunately my delivery truck driver marked the package delivered, left all the Amazon packages but either misplaced or kept my Zappos order. Zappos customer service was amazing with the refund but obviously couldn't replace the order since that was the last pair. I took a risk and got the Vapor Glove 4 in a half size larger than my normal size. This is the right call, the shoe runs a half size small so the length was correct but the other reviewers are right, the toe box is ridiculously narrow. I don't have particularly wide feet and in fact have really narrow heels. These fit really well in the heel but then there is next to no flare in the toe box. The shoe is shaped almost like a tube. It was painful just to put them on and stand in them with the amount of pressure on my big toe and joint. Also the violet mist shoe is more of a gray blue color. I'll be returning these and looking for my size of the Vapor Glove 3 cotton on another site.

Love the shoes, they are awesome! Very great alternative to some much more expensive barefoot shoes. We ordered a half size down, and they fit perfectly.

These are great minimalist shoes, my favorite for running so far. The toe box is nice and wide and the bottoms of the shoe are so minimal that you can feel every rock you come into contact with while running, its just one step above running barefoot which is great! For comparison, I own Merrell Trail Glove 4, Vivobarefoot Ra ll, Xero Chelsea boots, and Vibrams 5 finger SportTrek Sandal. These Vapor Gloves have a wider toe box than Xero brand and Merrell Trail glove, are more attractive looking than my Vibrams, and are much less expensive than Vivobarefoot with similar quality. I am normally a size 7 and I bought the 7’s and they fit perfect. If you wanted to wear socks with them then you might want to order a half size up. Overall, I’m very happy, I hope they hold up!

These are my first pairs of barefoot style shoes. Wow have I been missing out! These bad boys are not only comfortable, but the toe box is wide enough my toes can move and separate as if I were actually walking barefoot. The shoes also breathe nicely. The size felt true to me, I am a 9 and I bought the 9. I am happy I did not go half a size down. I will be buying more shoes from this line in the future.

Like the shoe. I've had it a few months now and used it to walk around my neighbor. Maybe 2 to 3 miles daily. The soles already have some worn spots where the tread is low. So, it's a little of a compromise having a soft sole for flexibility VS one that would be harder and more durable.

I have never owned a pair of Merrells, or a pair of trail shoes, or a pair of barefoot shoes before. I tend to buy really cheap shoes because I like lightweight, flexible, minimal shoes. I have narrow feet and high arches, and too much padding or bulk makes my feet ache sooo much. However my cheap shoe habit has also made my feet ache after many years without proper support or padding, so I decided to see if I could find something better. THESE MERRELLS FIX ALL OF IT. I have been wearing them all day everyday while I work around the house on hard floors, I have worn them scaling up and down muddy hillsides, and I wish I had a whole closet full of them. They are flexible, grippy, lightweight, and I feel sure footed and not clumsy when I have them on. I love how the heel is rounded, not wedgelike, which always makes my roll my ankle. They feel like my feet, but better! Buy them!

Perfect shoe, really does fit like a glove. Molds to my foot shape better than the Trail Glove, and I like the redesign of the sole from the 3--the shape of the tread is better reinforced and should last longer. Love these shoes.

This is my first time trying a barefoot shoe and I’m very happy with it. I have narrow feet, and while I know it’s important to have a roomy toebox, I was afraid that most barefoot shoe toeboxes would too big for me. Thankfully the Vapor Glove 4 is just right. And don’t be afraid if you have feet with a normal width—I still have to tie these a little on the snug side, so I think they’d fit fine for “normal” feet. Going “barefoot” has been really interesting so far. I am noticing that I kind of roll my right foot and put my weight on the right outer side of my foot, so it’s good awareness that I need to work on my arch strength.

This is my first experience with the vapor glove. I’m more satisfied than I thought I would be. I ordered my size and the fit is just right. Nice toebox. Wide but not too wide. Feel like barefoot which I’d what I wanted.

Got these for short park hikes. Tried them on & fell immediately in love. Cute, so comfortable, & just perfect. I’m gonna get another colour. I did need to order a half size larger than my usual, but they really fit like a dream.

I wear a 9.5 in almost all other brands including Merrell. These run SMALL.

I tried the vapor glove 3 & 4, and the trail glove 4. Despite what other reviews were saying about getting half a size bigger than usual, I found that my normal size was best. The vapor glove 3s just didn’t fit me well. When I put on the vapor glove 4, it immediately felt great and had the right fit for my foot. The shoes do look a little out-of-the-ordinary, but I like them anyway.

I love these!. Because there isn't a raised heel, I stand flat on my heel. This improves my walking and balance. They are my favorites. I did add a little arch support. I will wear them out as they won't sit in my closet.

Only returning these as I was transitioning to minimalist running and was unsure of sizing. These in my regular shoe size works better.

I wanted to try a “barefoot” type athletic shoe. When my feet get hot, I’m done lol. These shoes are amazing! They are lightweight, yet supportive, with a huge toe box. The color is not as defined as in the pictures, which I am ok with. Overall these are great.

Love! I own several pairs of these. I always order half size down from what I usually wear. I’m an 8, order 7.5. I use these for everything from walking, trails, hikes, working out. No arch support is a huge plus for me, mimics barefoot and no uncomfortable, aggressive and/or misplaced arches in the shoe.
