I have a couple pairs of vans (slip on and an all black pair in same style) and I really like the comfycush. I can definitely tell the difference in the support compared to my others I own. I would recommend these especially you need more support or will be walking a lot in them. They fits true to size.

I’ve got to say these are the most comfortable skate shoes I’ve ever worn!! I had almost given up on Vans, it seemed like they all ran on the super narrow side of the spectrum lately, but these are worth buying. I have nerve damage in my right foot that makes finding comfortable shoes a tough job. But these are damn near perfect for me. I’m just waiting to see how well they skate because being this lite and comfy might make them less durable too. Only time will tell but so far these are great.

I've worn Vans for over 20 years. Got sick of the flat insoles. Tried these comfy's, but they are way too tight compared to normal Vans SK8 Hi-tops. The toe part is cramped. The tongue is squeezed in. I'm not sure a full size larger would fit. These are not the Vans I've worn for decades. They're little kids shoes. The outside quality is also compromised. They do not feel up to the standard wear n tear of normal Vans. If you skated in these, they'd tear to shreds. Switching to Supra's that allow changing of insoles, as well as fitting the size they have on the label. Thankful of Zappos return policy.

I thought Vans were just for kids, and hadn’t given the, a thought since I graduated high school- over 25 years ago. But, I saw they started adding in comfort features and I bought this pair on a whim. I like the understated style of all black (I’m no skater) and they are comfortable per “comfycush.” I may have get crazy and buy a checkered comfycush pair just for fun.

I’ve been wearing Vans for 35 years and these are great. Lightweight and very comfortable. Sizing: I wear a 12 in Sk8-hi, era, authentics, and slip ons and these are no exception. I read other reviews where people claimed they were too tight in the toe box. I have narrow feet and these feel fine for me… other sk8-hi fit properly, but feel a big wide in the toe box. These cured that. The one thing that I didn’t care for was the lack of leather inside of the shoe, but maybe it’ll all work out in the end. Typical of Vans the arch support is nothing to brag about. I got these out of the box, swapped out the white strings and wore them for an 8 hour shift in a restaurant and they did great.

Comfy and true to size. Only thing is when I bought it, the picture led me to believe it was going to be cushy leather on the inside around ankles and it’s not. It’s just fabric which makes it a little less structured so sometimes it’s hard to pull them on. The tongue is attached to the inside of the sneaker which helps it to not move around like my other SK8 Hi Vans. They’re clean and look fresh. Satisfactory.

A good change from the classic vans! I have flat feet and these have been very comfortable for working out in. I bought 2 pairs because I love them that much

The shoes looks good, it has a nice style, but if I knew they came in with spandex band on the sides I’ll had other a half sides bigger because it’s kind of tide when I’m skating; but after some time it goes away ( it compress your feet )

These are good for all day wear, my only complaint is that they did not use the same laces as the skate hi pros.

so I own about 10 pairs of vans slip on. I decided to try these comfycush hi tops for fun and wow, I’m on my feet about 7 hours of the day and these feel so nice! I went ahead and purchased 2 more pairs, along with a pair of the original sk8 hi’s. but BIG difference btw those and these comfycush. the originals are way heavier and stiffer (probably better for skating) and sole just felt hard, felt better with a thick sock. for original Vans I wear men’s 5 women’s 6.5 but in these comfycush I am able to wear men’s 4.5 women’s 6. they also stretch with wear. love them so much and hope they come out with cuter designs!

i am a 69 year old male who is young at heart and vans make me feel young. i love this comfy cush shoe. the most comfortable i have. i only purchase my shoes thru zappos. they arrive quickly and their customer service is far and beyond awesome.

i am a 69 year old guy who loves cool things. when i wear vans, i feel like a kid. it’s true. and these comfy cush sk8-hi’s are so awesome. my third pair of vans. i love the vans brand and there surf culture roots. and by the way, i also wear them when i cruise on my arbor long board skateboard. there is no other place i buy my shoes from but zappos. they are the best in everything from customer service to quick delivery. thank you zappos for always being there.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

These were for my 13 year old grandson. The shoes have a band inside to I guess hold the tongue and shape in place. This made them hard to get on and he struggled until he finally got the laces right for his fit. I almost sent them back. Now that he has the laces fixed he wears them to school every day. Says they feel great on so if you buy these, work with them until you get your correct fit.

I have these in two colors - the white and the black/white combo. They are very comfortable and I love them. The ONE complaint I have about the black is that the color seems to be running onto the shoelaces. So the white shoelaces are turning black from the shoes which I found a little odd.

I can not say enough good things about this shoe. I’ve worn Vans my whole life and this new “Comfy Cush” is AMAZING... especially now that my joints make a little more noise. I’m not sure how these hold up with skating (again my body makes more noise now). However, I’ve had them for several months and worked 12hr shifts at the hospital and still feel like I could walk more.

10.5 was too small returned for 11 and its all good!! thanks zappos!

There is an elastic band inside shoe. This caused a problem for my husband to put the shoe on. He is handicapped and has odd sized feet.

Ok so this is an update to my review for these shoes: I’ve worn/owned these for a few months and as comfy as they are DO NOT skate these. My grip tape on my boards tore up the side of the sole and toe box pretty easy. I stopped skating them once I saw the damage to the shoes. I highly suggest the “Pro” series if you’re looking for a skate-able pair. These are built for comfort but not for the abuse grip tape will do to them! Currently skating the “Old Skool Pro” model and they are much better when dealing with grip tape damage. The “Comfy Cush” is more of a chilling out pair of sneakers that look like the Sk8 Hi but without the skate part.....

Fit is great, TTS. A bit wider than regular Vans, which is more true to foot shape. I’m happy with this shoe except for the fact that the insert has very little arch support. It’s a comfortable shoe, but you feel like you’re almost sliding in because your arch is collapsing.

These are great. Not sure what the negative reviews are about. My only complaint is that the right toe box keeps making a popping sound because of how the fabric is moving. Very comfortable compared to regular vans. Yes, they are hard to get on. I do wish they had a leather lining in the ankle part to make that easier, but it's over in 1 minute and then you're in the shoe. I love these. Taking me back to my high school days.
