I loved this shoe when I first got it. Everything I wanted in a shoe—a completely enclosed Birkenstock shoe that isn’t hideous. It’s very comfortable and quite cute. Fine for office or happy hour or walk about the city. I loved them so much, but I’ve only had them for 6 months and they already have holes in the soles and the tops are separating. I do wear them often, but there is no excuse for a shoe this expensive to last for 6 months. In fact, after 3 months, my socks would get wet if I wore to walk to damp pavement.

Nice-looking, super-comfortable shoes from Birkenstock, without their usual 3-month break-in period. These shoes feel wonderful right out of the box. My only complaint is that I'd like them to come in more colors.

I have the Gary in the tan suede color. They’re very soft suede which is instantly comfortable. They fit like a closed-back Boston. The usual comfortable normal footbed. Fits in my normal Birk size. Shoelaces are good, easy to tie, and stay tied. The only concern is that the tan suede fabric gets dirty easily. I probably should have Skotch guarded it first.

Great shoe but the bottom sole is white!

We adopted a 6 month old furbaby and now do a lot of walking. I wore Birks many years ago and now due to a left hip and right foot problem that became significant, I am once again returning to Birks. Did they solve my problem, yes they did!! I no longer have low back pain and nerve pain shooting down my leg from my hip. Fall and winter are soon coming to IL and I needed to fill this slot. I found the regular width ( I absolutely can NOT wear narrow) in the men's section. Ordered the 41 (10-10-1/2) same as my sandal size. The length and width fits ( I wear a C width) without any extra room. So right now I can't wear socks, perhaps trouser socks. Since the shoe is suede it may stretch a bit. The shoe is very comfortable but will require a break in like most Birks. The support is definitely there. Since the shoe is suede, I water proofed them for extra protection.

Size and fit are exact. This is a very comfortable shoe, worn with or without socks. I have a recurring problem with plantar fasciitis, and Birkenstock products provide immediate relief. Keep the new styles coming.

Worn Birkenstocks for many years. I love these shoes. First pair with corkbed made outside of Germany; they fit wonderfully. They do run a little smaller than my Bostons or Montanas. Great shoes...Scotchguard first!!!

The most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, hands down. I wish they came in regular leather not suede, but that is a minor problem.

I’ve recently discovered Birkenstock and have to admit, they have become my favorite shoes. These are the epitome of comfort as I’m on my feet all day long.

This is my third pair. I wear them everyday so they put on the miles. They are terrifically comfortable, but thee sole wears quickly. Hard to believe when you pay top dollar for these. I have holes in each sole after 6 months.

Tried these as a replacement for the Birkenstock Gary's in sliver, which were too narrow (and don't come in regular width). The fit was perfect, but the style was not nearly as cute. Reluctantly returned.

Amazing Quality!

Excellent. I got my Gary's in two days. The footbed is perfect! It's the original footbed but it feels almost like the soft Birkenstock footbed! I am so pleased to have them!

I got these from Birkenstock instead of Zappos. They are good and supportive shoes. I am still having problem with the width. But i am still breaking in for two weeks. I prefer these to Bends because they are not as hot as Bends. Also I need to pick two size smaller. These are so big. They make good office shoes. Yes you can wear them like clogs.
