These are NOT waterproof. I bought then for walking in the rain, but the top of the shoes is mesh and there's no way they're waterproof, despite the name.

These are very comfortable shoes - not as heavy as a normal supportive "walking" shoe or hiking shoe, but offers good support for everyday, walking or athletic use.

What can I say, they are Merrell's , comfortable and fit perfectly, I probably have at least 6 pairs, these are very stylish, and are great for summer walking. They are well ventilated and one of the best walking shoes ever.

I’m really picky. I have plantar fasciitis flare ups and was looking for a nice light weight Merrell trail walking shoe with vibram sole. Well, this turned out to be perfect. Going to get a 2nd pair. Ordered Sun night, Zappos box arrived Tues. 5 stars!

Bought this shoe because it is a Merrell. Priced no better on Zappos than on Merrell and Amazon, but free shipping and ease of free return was were pluses. Even though the "size calculator" results indicated that the suggested size was "true," I feel that I should have gotten a half size smaller. Overall, however, the shoe is great and the customer service is exemplary. Will continue to frequent Zappos.com for future purchases.

Great light wearing shoe, I just wish they did not go with tie up laces, I ended buying some lock laces.

Tried them on to see how they fit but was disappointed that they were not in fact waterproof. They are actually Merrell Waterpro with quick dry. They are wrongly labeled on the site. Will be returning them. My ratings are not accurate because I did not wear them.

Way to narrow! I wear a 15 and it looks like they took a size 9 and added some length to it.

The best summer shoe I have had. I am looking for a second pair now

Love the shoe. Foot got a little sore after about 5 miles due to my toe sliding and rubbing because they’re a little to large but nonetheless I love the shoe

I got these for light hikes (2.5 hours or less) in warmer weather. They do not disappoint. I could probably walk in them for days. They’re heavier than my OC sneakers, but every other sneaker is. They’re a lot lighter than my hiking boots. They’re great for trails. They are not waterproof so stay clear of streams, mud, snow, etc.. but conversely they are well-ventilated. I totally recommend them.

I bought these shoes for my husband because he had worn out his other casual Merrills. He loved these shoes right out of the box and and said no break in needed. He was so impressed with the great arch support and comfort.He loves these shoes.

Makes me love summer even more. These are now my go to Summer show. Cool and comfortable. Even without sucks I would not be scared to spend all day hiking and walking in these shoes.

Darker than advertised, bet excellent fit and color on arrival. I’m a 10.5 in some, and 11 in most, 11.5 in others... 11 here and perfect fit. Replacing older pair quite similar, but these are lighter (weight).

Lightweight, airy

Love these shoes -- incredibly comfortable and I never buy Merrells because they're always too small (I wear 15s so no way to go up a size). Nice wide toe box, and a sturdy sole so will be good summer hiking shoes. The mesh on top is very thin, which makes them light and airy but if it's wet outside your socks will get wet. I don't really get their positioning as a water shoe though, wearing without socks wouldn't be overly comfortable. Overall, love them for what they are -- a lightweight yet sturdy Vibram-soled summer hiking shoe.

I've owned many Merrell's in my day and as usual this shoe doesn't disappoint. Good looking and a solid feel. Haven't taken them out for a hike yet but I'm sure they will perform. Not quite sure what the "Waterpro" is all about. Certainly they're not claiming these are waterproof or even water resistant? They have sections of mesh on the side. I'm sure I'll know for sure the first puddle I walk through. I didn't buy them to be waterproof but if you are then buyer beware.

Extremely comfortable shoes

They fit perfect, very true to size. Comfortable and light. Not bulky at all.

I ordered four pairs of shoes from Zappos to use on a Grand Canyon River Rafting trip, I wanted to check out the size and fit before picking one. All four seemed true to size and had a good fit, but I ended up not choosing these.

These were by far the coolest looking shoes I tried, but they have absolutely no support or cushioning. The only positive is the mesh top and resulting very lightweight, and there was okay support on the sides. I felt like the traction was not very good, particularly compared to similar shoes and considering the high price of this shoe. If I could remake the insole and add arch support (I have a long, high arch), I would love this shoe. But with the cushioning non existent I have to return these.
