I’ll keep it simple... like the looks and the lightweight feeling is nice when walking around all day in them, but boy do I regret buying these shoes. Wish I didn’t... quickest $90.00 down the drain if my life with buying shoes, hands down. These honestly didn’t even make it a full month. I did read about the under part of the shoes coming off, but thought yeah right... I’ll give them a try. Ouch was I wrong. I have never had such poorly made shoes. This totally leaves me reluctant to buy from the brand again. Not impressed.

I have worn these shoes literally twice hiking maybe 6 miles in total between the two hikes and once was through some water. The soles are already falling apart. They must be meant for sand and water not rocks and dirt. Merrell should be embarrassed putting these out on the market. My old Merrells were great.

I wear a men's size 9M and this did fit true to size. I wanted a shoe that was light and could provide good airflow during the hot months and also dry quickly if got wet and these look like they will do the trick though I haven't gotten to fully test them out yet. I like the color and style. The only area I have some issue with is that the insoles don't give me enough arch support since I am a little flat footed so I will probably put in my Powerstep insoles to give me more support. Overall, its a nice shoe for short hikes on relatively even terrain but for long hikes up Machu Picchu, you definitely want a more traditional Merrell hiking shoe with more arch support and more protection for your feet.

I had high hopes for this "water-shoe" for my husband. I bought these for him for an upcoming whitewater rafting trip in Montana. He tried them out about a week before we left on our trip, and they literally fell apart! We brought them anyway, since we didn't have time to get another pair. The sole is falling off! Also, instead of water and pebbles flowing through them, as you would expect for a shoe called "Hydrotrekker", rocks get stuck in the sole, and they are terrible uncomfortable

Have had these shoes for three (3) months and from the beginning, little pieces of the bottom would come off. Finally today this big chunk fell off.... Pretty disappointed in these Merrell shoes!

Wish I had seen bad reviews, but I bought the shoes for my husband before them. He wore them literally three times and then brought them on a two week trip to Maine and Canada, where he wore them more regularly . During the first week, little blue chunks kept coming off the bottom, in the car, in stores, everywhere. FROM WALKING AROUND. Not even hiking. By the second week l, whole areas of sole were peeling off. We will NEVER buy a Merrell product again.

Very comfortable and soft right out of the box. Chose another shoe that was a bit more supportive but this was a definite option. Looking for a good shoe to wear walking around town.

I got these to go camping backing/canoeing in Minnesota boundary waters . I will frequently be steeping into water so I wanted to get shoes to handle that and not get water logged and have good traction. This shoe does that perfectly. I ordered a 9.5 even though I sometimes get 10s but I will be wearing super think quick dry socks so I picked perfectly after trying them on yesterday.I use to wear teva’s on the trip but go tired of the blisters. I’m super pumped to try these shoes and breaking in tomorrow with a 5k.

I love the look of these shoes and they are comfortable, but, after about a month of light wear, the rubber is already starting to break off the bottom. The trail "spikes" or grips or whatever you call them are breaking off. Very cheap quality, but the blue does look nice.

I ordered four pairs of water/hiking shoes from Zappos because I didn't know how well they would fit. They all seemed to fit fine, and the HydroTrekkers were the ones I decided to keep. I was getting these to wear on a Grand Canyon River Rafting trip, where we would spend most of our day on the rafts, but would also do a few short hikes. The shoes did fine on the rafts, the tread is very good and I never slipped at all, same for walking in streams with lots of slick boulder. The shoes were "ok" on trails but not at all comfortable enough for a hike of more than a half mile or so... The problems came in whenever we would stop on the shore along the river, the shoes rapidly fill up with sand and are very difficult to flush out, and invariably tiny pebbles get caught up in the shoe under your foot and there's no way to get it out without completely removing the shoe, pulling out the insole and doing a complete rinse. These shoes would be terrible on an ocean beach.. I will keep them to use backpacking as a stream crossing shoe and maybe a light shoe to wear around camp, but I'll never take them rafting again.

Bought to wear on flights for work travel. Fits fine but shoe fell apart in two weeks

I have gotten two pairs from Zappos and on both pair the sole peels off amost immediately
