At first I wasn’t sure I was going to keep these sandals because the material used between the toes is a thick plastic and it didn’t feel very comfortable. I wore the shoes around my house for a few days to see if the material would form, or adjust to my foot. I wasn’t completely satisfied, but took the leap and wore them out where I had to walk and stand for a few hours. They turned out to be comfortable. I believe that the more I l wear them, the more comfortable they will become. I’m not completely sold on the style. I wish that the flap of material by the toe wasn’t so big. The silver color is perfect. It’s not too shiny.

Love the dressier style of higher wedge heel & t-strap, but these sandals were made in Portugal & were much narrower than the two pairs of Gizehs by Birkenstock I have that were made in Germany. Unfortunately, I’ll have to return them.

I really wanted it to look just like in these photos on Zappos. The gold color isn’t shimmery but more of a dull gold that almost looks more pink toned than anything and looks a bit like plastic. I’m returning them, and still on the search for great gold supportive sandals.

I thought I was buying Birkenstock’s but then these looked like a cheap knock-off. The silver straps are plastic and don’t even come close to looking like real leather. A high wedge version of the Gizeh sandal would be great, but this isn’t it.

These shoes are super cute and very comfortable. They are true to size. Highly recommend!

Papillio, my favorite Birkenstock style seems to be had to find this year, Would really like to know why? I have bought many colors and styles over the years, now all I find are the basics? I like the wedge for a more dressy look. I find more and more Birkenstocks are my shoe of choice year round. Foot doctor recommended . What could possibly be wrong with a shoe that was first made in 1774?

The hard plastic between the toes just did not fit in the right place and was painful. Ordered a smaller size to see if this helped, it did not. Painful to walk around the house, so sadly had to return!

The ankle strap on these are strangely made. I could barely buckle them yet there was sooo much space behind the ankle. Even moving my feet around left lots of ankle space. Had to go back.

These are cheaply made. Returned.
