I use it every time I go out in the sun. I love how lightweight it is. Honestly, the best on the market right now for lightweight sun protection. I wore it in full sun for 12 hours last weekend.

Saw a lot of these shirts in the backcountry Earlier this summer so I decided to give it a try. They are super light. The hood with ponytail hole is genius. Been on several day hikes and some carrying a pack. Time will tell if the fabric will hold up to snags and multiple days of pack strap abrasion but for now, my new go-to shirt for all things outdoors!

I have worn this hoodie 6 days out of the past 2 weeks climbing in the hot sun and it is great. It fits a bit snug over my helmet, but remains comfortable. It feels cooler than climbing in a tank top, and I don't have to worry about sunburns. At first I thought the ponytail hole in the hood was a bit gimmicky, but after getting my hair off my sweaty neck while keeping my neck protected from the sun I am a believer! I am a medium in all other OR tops and this top fit true to size.

Not new to long sleeve sun shirts but new to the hooded variety. This is the second brand I've tried. The material is very, very light and the breezes (if there are any) go right through it. That does reduce the SPF factor but on a hot endeavor, it might be worth it. I'm not 100% on the "fold over cuffs" because they are not long enough for my long arms to be useful. I would have to make a fist, basically, for them to cover my hands, BUT, I can pull the sleeves down to at least cover to my knuckles if I need to. The fabric, as stated, is super light and I will have to see if it can stand the test of time with pack straps, wear and tear for multiple days of use. One thing I love is the ponytail hole in the hood. OR must have had a women with long hair involved in this design because it's pure genius (and not something most guys would think about). It seems like a little thing but it's just genius if you don't want sweaty, hot hair stuck to your neck under the hood. I liked it on my first hike (6 miles, steep hills and fully exposed/no shade in hot weather) and have already ordered a second one. The one thing I will say to OR is PLEASE, GET BETTER COLORS! Too many dark colors... :-)

Works exactly as advertised, this is going to be my new go-to work out top! Keeps you insulated if it's a chilly day, and actually cools if on the warm side. Love it, this is actually my 2nd, i loved the first one so much.

I wear this hoodie on just about EVERY outdoor adventure. It is the PERFECT combination of a great baselayer, breathable sun protection, and stretchy coverage designed to handle anything you throw at it.... plus it doesn't retain gross smells (even after non-stop wear on a 165-mile backpacking trip, it came out of the wash clean, stain-free, and smelling fresh as the day I bought it). I am OBSESSED with this hoodie, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE offer it in more BRIGHT colors! The colorways with darker side panels aren't as flattering as the solid colors, and as someone who has too much black/grey/pewter blue gear already, I'm looking for baselayers that really "pop" for easy identification when I'm digging through a pack full of black and gray gear. Would love to see a lime green, electric blue, or bright yellow option in addition to the orange (I already own that one and get called out for wearing it in literally every picture of me in the backcountry hahah!). But as far as form, fit, and function - this is the BEST PURCHASE I've ever made when it comes to outdoor apparel.

I've purchased three of these in different colors and worn them from the office to the backcountry in Alaska. They breathe, they don't smell after 4-7 days of wear (gross but valuable) and they're flattering and comfy! Would recommend for all the uses!

Absolutely fantastic for sunny, sweaty activities; I use this in SoCal for summer mountain biking, backpacking, and alpine climbing. I've bought two and might get more. Runs true to size, but will note the "Lava" color is more bright orange than the photo shows.
Best features are the material, hood, and ponytail hole. Only feature I don't need is the fold-over-hand flaps, but these don't really detract much.

I wear this for all of my outdoor pursuitshiking, mountain biking, glacier/snow travel. I love how the fabric feelssoft and light. I use the hood a lot for added protection from the sun. I am 5'4, ~120 lbs. The small fits me well. It is form fitting, but not too tight. I also appreciate that it protects me from the sun, with SPF built into the fabric, is wicking and does not smell like most synthetic fabrics do. I also love the color!

I love this for some lightweight sun protection! The color and cut are flattering. Most importantly, I feel well protected from the sun. Even on hot days, it's still super comfortable to wear.

Nice and comfy - love the two tone colour scheme! Does a great job of protecting my too-lazy-to-don-sunscreen butt from the sun. Sliiight wind resistance can make hiking on windy hills in sunny weather a bit more tolerable.

Amazing. I get hot, and this layer helps keep me cool during high exertion workouts (trail running, mountain biking) on the hot days - truly a game changer. And keeps my light skin protected. It's really flattering, and hardly anything fits me well (tall and slim, wide shoulders with long arms). The sleeves are actually long enough! I'm 5'9", 130 lbs, size small. Bought a second so I could wear one everyday!

This piece is great for warm summer days when you need to escape the sun--while being in full sun. It's fitted around the wrists so it's not all baggy when you're climbing. The hood is great because it completely covers your head and doesn't get in the way when you're looking up. I love the way this fits!

I wore this for the first time hiking in the CA. Redwoods NP, with the warmer temps it was perfect to not over heat in and keep covered. I have since been wearing it on my summit hikes/climbs in CO. I was bush whacking this past weekend and did not get any pulls on it so was happy about that based on others reviews, i got the orange, everyone liked how they could see me while hiking in dense trees. I have a smaller head and the hood stays on for the most part, i use the pony tail opening to pull my hair through and it keeps it on my head better. it also fit over my climbing helmet with out issue. Wish the SPF was more then 15 for high alpine climbs though, but love the thinness of the materiel. im 5'3" 150lbs and the Med fits great over tee shirts. I love this shirt.

Great for everything! Running, biking, hot or cold makes for a great base layer or sun shirt. Good fit!

This is a super light hoodie that I got for sun protection for hiking & running. The fabric is quite sheer, and I got the very light grey (Pebble) color, so, ladies, you will want to be wearing something underneath it. It's great for those hot, sunny days when you want to be out but protect your skin from the sun.

Great lightweight fishing shirt with colors other than pink and purple (yay!) and it actually has length so it sits below the hips. I'm 140 and sized up to a L because I don't like sun shirts being tight. Would say it's true to size.

I hike in the White Mountains of NH and this shirt is a great addition to my gear! Super lightweight and comfortable! I love the hood (for sun and bugs) and the way the hands can be covered (also sun and bugs!)

I wore my blue (size small) hoodie on a 15 mile mountain bike ride yesterday and was so happy with it! I was warm, cozy and comfortable. The fabric is light, and I appreciate that it is wicking, anti-odor and has SPF in the fibers. I also like that the fabric is soft and doesn't feel like I'm wearing a plastic bag. Lastly, I truly love that I can pull up the hood to warm me up a bit, and/or if needed, protect me from the sun's rays. I have a feeling this garment will be worn A LOT! :-) As far as size goes, it is an athletic fit. If you want it to be looser, I would suggest sizing up. I am ~120 lbs and am ~5'4". The small is a fairly close fit, but I feel very comfortable in it.

Didn't think I needed a sun hoodie, but was convinced otherwise. It's now my go-to long sleeve when I need an extra layer. I'm 5'6", 130lbs, like a loose fit, and got a medium, which fits perfectly. Not sure if the flap in the back of the hood is meant for ponytails, but I intend to use it for that.

I have one of these in a small and I love it so much I had to get one size larger for more layering options. It's lightweight for sun protection but I've also been impressed wearing it in light wind, light rain, and heavy mosquitoes.
