I wanted to love these on the first try! They are classic looking boots without being too glaringly retro. I like the mix of synthetic and leather. They have nice soles, seem very well made, and I think would be really comfortable for someone with the right foot shape. I have average width feet and was nervous about La Sportiva shoes because I heard they run very narrow. For me, it wasn't the width, but the height of the shoe over the ball of my foot that did not work. The top of the shoe was pressing down too hard to be comfortable for me for anything else but walking around the house. These will likely fit someone with an average to narrow foot, but their foot also needs to not be very thick, if that makes sense.

I am a big fan of La Sportiva. These have nice cushion to them and feel very good on my feet. I know that La Sportiva runs narrow and I do have narrow feet, so these work well for me. I generally wear a size 9.5 and purchased the 41.5 for a little extra room. Very happy with this purchase!

I love La Sportiva gear. I never had any issues with their climbing or approach shoes so when it came time to look for hiking boots for my sensitive feet I had to give these a go. I've tried other brands in the past and they tear up my feet, these don't. It's worth the purchase.

I have been wearing these hiking boots every day through the winter as my hiking shoe and daily work shoe. They are incredibly supportive and no matter if I have them on 12 hours a day my feet do not fatigue. They run a tad on the bigger side which gives a good amount of room in the toe box. They break in and soften up quite nicely regardless of how stiff they are out of the box. I highly recommend if you want a comfortable and durable hiking shoe you can use in all sorts of scenarios.

I bought these in the fall for a three day backpacking trip. I thought they were nice, but didn't stand out too much. However, I just completed a 6 day backpacking trip without a single blister. We completed over 55 miles in Shenandoah NP, and my feet are still 100% intact. I'm completely blown away. By the end I did start to notice the beginings of trench foot, but I think thats more of a me not airing my feet out problem than a shoe problem.

Surprisingly lightweight for the amount of support. remind me of a high top version of the tx3s, although the tread is a little burlier. waterproof up to the laces, above does a reasonably good job. fits true to size, and took shocklingly little time to break in. I wear these for more rugged hikes where I'm worried about turning my ankles on all but the coldest days in winter.

Great looking shoe. Stable. Comfortable. I wear a 40.5 in the Bushido and a 40 fits good.

I'll start with the bad news first. These boots have TERRIBLE grip (2 stars). So if you plan to walk on roots, gravel, wet rocks, or almost any normal terrain for a hike plan on slipping and sliding. I give it 2 stars for grip. An awful lot of money to be sliding around on the trails!!! The good news is that they have excellent support (5 stars), which you will definitely need when you are sliding around all day. 3 stars for comfort. They are great for anything less than 5 miles, after that plan on aching feet and legs. They are very warm and make my feet sweat. 3 stars for true to fit. Bought my normal boot size 8. While walking on level ground it feels great, but feet slide while hiking downhill. My poor toes!! If I bought a half size smaller, I am sure they'd be too tight. So I may just have to wear two pair of socks (one regular, and one base layer). So I think I am being supper nice to give this so called hiking boot a 4 star review.
