If u want a oversize style and add fleece into the jacket, I recommend to choose one size larger.

Truly an iconic design - this will last you forever. If there is one piece from the north face that you need to buy, it's the mountain jacket.

The only thing I don't like is the length of the sleeves. Everything else is perfect, very functional and stylish

My brother needed a very warm winter coat and we chose the north face brand. Truly the warmest and most quality merchandise. It will last for many winters to come.

Plan on using my jacket for work on those cold winter nights on the train track The great thing about this product is it's light doesn't restrict my movement while on the track it's waterproof wind proof and you can also add a zip in layer for added warmth and protection wish it would of came with a removable liner

I had this jacket in this color Aztec Blue in the 1990's. My favorite jacket ever then it got lost. I've purchased many jackets since then from North Face, Spyder, and Patagonia but it was not the same. My wife and kids are happy as well as I can finally stop looking for my favorite jacket. I still have my NF vest which I would zip into it. Thanks North Face!!!!!!

I've been looking to purchase this jacket for over a year now, but it was always sold out. I was confused at first when it was re-released for Fall 2020 as the website listed 2 versions 1. 1990 Mountain Jacket Gore-Tex and 2. 1990 Mountain Jacket GTX with a different color palette for each. I realized that the "Gore-Tex" version was much heavier (38.8 oz vs 14.3 oz) I went for the lighter option. Regardless, I finally got one and I love it!

This is my second TNF jacket. With my first one being the Nuptse 700. I was surprised to learn that both the Mountain Jacket and the Nuptse can be combine to become one winter coat. I can't wait to try that this winter when it's snowing outside. I also can't wait to try the Mountain Jacket out when I travel to San Francisco with that foggy weather. Highly recommended!!

This jacket is sic. You are basically wearing modern technical foul weather gear, I mean this thing could protect you from anything with the right layering. I have a bunch NorthFace going back to the late 80's, I didn't keep everything, but among what I did hold on to, this jacket reins supreme. Dude, get one before they are gone. Just sayin'

I've wanted one of these for a while. When I saw the purple one, it was time to get it. That colour pops. I usually go up a size on jackets, but I stayed with TTS on this jacket. Good decision. Super waterproof. With the addition zipper for a nupste under it ( or something similar ), it will definitely keep you warm when you need to be. No complaints!

I bought my last gortex North Face jacket in 1993 and have worn it every Spring, Winter and Fall for 26 years! The only reason I am getting a new jacket is the cuffs and sleeves are showing wear. I will still wear it, but will wear my new one for skiing and outdoor activities. I have been looking for years for another jacket like my original jacket and was so happy to find this one. I love my new one with a soft lining that my first one didn't have. My first jacket was longer in the back and that was nice if you sat on snow. I wish it had the netted inner pockets to put water bottle in, but I will get by with the 3 inner zippered pockets. It is very, very nice and I would highly recommend it. I am 5'4" and 115 pounds, so I have a Small. I could probably wear an XS but wanted to be sure to have enough room to wear a fleece liner in it if I need it.

This particular jacket is pretty untested at this point, but that is the strength of it. This is a replacement of one I purchased over 25 years ago. Over that time, the previous jacket went through the expected hiking, camping and general winter weather one would expect. 4 years of that were in the unexpected weather conditions of Mongolia. With her Nuptse down jacket zipped in, it kept me warm in the occasional -40 degree days of Mongolia and the shell in itself was constantly with me through the unpredictable weather of northern Asia. When the Gore-tex began to separate from the outer shell material, North Face replaced it, no hassles. On the street or mountain I want to be able to rely on my equipment to function well, and it is great to find a company and its product that functions as well as this. Can't say enough.

I learned why the North Face brand lasts long and why it is loved. This item will be worn until my grandchildren's day.
