Great shirt for being outdoors. Keeps you cool and protected

Finally! A comfortable hoodie than offers FULL sun protection! I love the built-in gator along with sleeves that protect down to my knuckles. It does a great job of keeping me cool but is suprisingly effective at keeping me warm when it's a bit breezy outside. It's listed as a "Men's" hoodie, but I'm a 5'5", 135 lb woman and am happy with the XS size I ordered. I only wish I'd found it sooner!

As a Bass Fishing guide i need all the protective i can get this shirt helps keep me cool all day on the water in the 103 degree Texas Heat!!

I bought this a couple of years ago and I am continually impressed with how cool I stay in this hoodie! At first the neck gaiter was a little confining but I lost some weight and it no longer squeezes my neck. The thumb holes are a bonus and the Omni-Share technology is amazing. I treated this with permethrin to keep the bugs away and now it does that, too! It would be a cool feature if Columbia pre-treated this with permethrin. I'd certainly pay top dollar for it!

It really does keep you cooler. I didn't believe it until I wore it out cleaning pools in the Louisiana heat. Game changer!

I work fulltime for Fish & Game managing a wildlife area. Summer heat has starting rearing its head so I picked up a couple of these to see how'd work out in the field. I CANNOT stop wearing them. I just ordered more cause I was doing laundry every two days so I could wear them to work every single day. I have other sun shirts, but this deflector series really takes it up a notch. The extra sun protection is great, sure, but you stay cooler as well cause it also defects the HEAT. When I'm near a big piece of farm equipment I can especially tell the difference. You will "shimmer" a bit but its not too much at all, I think its a pretty cool look. The hood is a must as well. It fits over my baseball cap very well, very comfortable, and protects my neck and ears great. Zero sunscreen required.

These are the best shirts to be out on the water. I could fish all day and be very comfortable.

Even though it's for fishing, I purchased it for gym purpose. I like it because it's good for gym because it protects from ac, and i can walk to gym because i don't feel breeze. I like active sweat protection feature. I'd feel nasty with regular tshirts.

The absolute weirdest material I've ever worn. Looks ridiculous. You can't tell from the photo but it's super shiny. Like you are covered in sequins. Or like the shirt is made out of shiny plastic. But!!! It 1000% works! It is the coolest lightest material I've every worn. You look like a plastic ninja, but cool as a cucumber.

This is the coolest article of Columbia gear i have, the fit is awesome and the technology is even better. Love the thumb sleeves and built in gaiter.

I buy a handful of new Columbia products to test each year. I run well over 300 fishing charters a year, so this is way too nice to destroy for day to day use. I am a regular concert goer and being comfortable and protected from the south Florida sun and heat is essential to properly enjoying an outdoor event in the dead heat of our tropical summers. No comparison, this is the best and coolest material I have ever worn. Having the hood is an extra luxury that allows me to adjust my protection level as the sun, weather and time of day changes. Being at a concert, you are very limited in what you can bring in, carry and move around with. This hooded long sleeve is a complete solution that eliminates the need for bringing extra clothing. Columbia has advanced the development of this cool wicking material to where each time I get a new one I am thoroughly impressed at how much it is better than the previous version. This is the best outdoor venue shirt I have ever worn. A couple of bright colors would make it easier for my girlfriend to find me in the front row of a show!

This is the shirt I put on for the bad days. Light weight fabric, cool, very comfortable. Very functional hood and mask built in. This shirt runs a little smaller than the other PFG sun shirts, so I sized up one.

This is the 2nd terminal deflector shirt I've bought. I still have the first but got tired of washing it every day. These shirts really help with the New Orleans summer heat and the hood helps with avoiding skin cancer. My first shirt was a large and snug because that helps with heat transfer. I got an xl in this shirt and like that better because the hood is bigger. WARNING: these shirts are shiny: that's the (sun) defector part. Obviously, the green color is shinier than the grey or white. If the shiny material is something you wouldn't like, don't get one. Also, one review said the built in gator didn't stay up; I've never had that problem.

Pretty reflective. I didn't know it was gonna be this shiny, but it runs cool and fits just right.
