Purchased these for my trip to the arctic next month - Size SM. I'm 5'3" and 118. They fit great; look great. I tried them out in the rain today and they kept me perfectly dry. Comfortable over winter pants.

Have had my precip pants for several years and used in a variety of wet windy and harsh conditions including a trip to Antarctica. These pants have been fantastic throughout. Durable and comfortable.

I bought these pants for a recent trip to Iceland in mid January. It was perfect for my ~3 hour glacier hike where it was raining moderately to heavily the entire time. I wore them over a base layer and fleece leggings and they were so comfortable and kept me dry the entire time. They’re not very baggy and still gives me some shape. I’m 5’5” and 135 lbs and went with a size small regular.

My ideal rain pants, loosely fitting petite length that allows me to layer for warmth. Easily stores with your Precip jacket in your backpack.

I love the zippers. I've taken these on several hiking and backpacking trips and they've worked will every time. The extra ounces is worth the piece of mind in not worrying about getting too wet in flash storms.

This is my second pair now, after wearing almost everyday for 4-5 years outdoors as a teacher in an outdoor based pre-school. The inside finally wore out. I was going to try the full zip version this time, but it was sold out in my size. *** I really appreciate the petite sizing, which is what drew me to these pants in the first place. Some reviewers said they were too short, but at 5'2" that's not a problem for me. Petite sizing is meant for 5'4" and under, so if you're 5'4" you may want to choose "regular" sizing (whatever that is supposed to mean. Haha.)

Super-excited to have pants that aren't too long! Hoping they last, but so far so good- was out 2 hours in solid rain and they lived up to their waterproof rating. Also like Marmot's efforts to use less environmentally damaging materials

These pants are great for windy and rainy days. They are comfortable and easy to slip on. I even like them to wear on my daily walks when there is a slight breeze.

I'm a bike commuter in the northeast (where, as the old adage would have it, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute). These pants are part of my everyday kit--they fit over my work clothes, they aren't constricting--I can bike in them--and they keep me dry. Couldn't live without them. (By the way... I initially ordered a Large based on customer reviews suggesting that the pants run small. I did not find this to be the case at all, and had to return the Large and order a Medium.)

These pants do exactly what I need with no bells or whistles. The fit is nice, enough room to get over other layers and waistband is wider and comfortable. Worn for muddy and wet ATV rides and boat trips, kept me dry and comfortable. Not as wind proof as I'd like, but fine with warm layers underneath.

Lightweight and quiet fabric make these rain pants perfect for hiking. The fit is roomy but not bulky, and they drape nicely so they look great. I'm 5'4" 145 lbs and size L fits perfectly. Will use NickWax to launder as recommended.

I wear a size 4/6 and ordered a medium to go over jeans and the fit is perfect! Love that they are available in a short version being only 5' tall!!

These pants are just what I'd hoped for...lots of rain here lately, and now I can walk no matter what. They easily become a second protective layer, perfect for cooler weather. I have a Marmot jacket years old and still excellent. So glad I got these, too.

5'2" 112lbs. Hips 38", Waist measures 28" though somehow that translates to 25" waist for Levi's, Madewell & all other brand pants. These xs/short rain pants fit perfectly.

I bought a pair of these pants about 20 years ago and wore them until recently when the lining started to deteriorate. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33" inseam, but these pants are perfect! I'm 5'8", 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. I usually wear long johns or long johns plus another pair of warm pants under these and there is plenty of room. Everything seems to be about the same as my older version except this one has side pockets for my hands and I love that! I mostly wear them for hiking in the rain. Worth every penny and I hope these will last me another 20 years!

These pants were recommended to me by a dog walker/trainer. They do not disappoint. In rain and snow I stay dry walking my dog. They also protect from wind. I ordered a larger size than normal so I could fit other pants underneath comfortably. Saying that, I do not even need the drawstring on the pants so other reviewers may be accurate regarding small fit. I love these and am trying to figure out other uses. Perfect.
