I have been buying the wave prophecies for the last 7 years. This new model wave prophecy 8 unfortunately changed my impression of the shoe. The seems around the lateral part of the shoe *near the big toe are incredibly tight and uncomfortable. I have bunions and before the shoe was never an issue. until this model came along. I tried for several days but the pain is unbearable due to the way it was stitched. Stay away if you need a wider shoe. I hope the company brings back the old stitches around the side of the shoe for customers that have been a fan of their products.

These shoes are my fourth pair of Mizunos and were a full size too small for me, but who cares what the number says? :) (I usually wear a 8-8.5 and had to go to a 9.5.) Mizunos are worth it though and I'm so glad they widened the toe box in this new version. They are so cushy and comfortable. As a nurse, I'm on my feet all day long and these shoes see me through my day in complete comfort!

These are my third pair . However this time I had to return and get a larger size . I normally wear a size 6.5 in a shoe and had to go to a 7.5 in these . Very very supportive . This is a sturdy shoe . Wonderful cushioning .

I ordered this shoe in a 9.5 M - a half size bigger than my normal shoe size because a friend had an earlier version of this shoe - which they gave up to me after a couple wearings because of foot issues - so that’s how I knew to size up by 1/2. My big toe was still a bit closer to the tip of the shoe than I prefer but the toe box itself is nice and roomy so I believe if I were to go a whole size up it would be too big & sloppy. I LOVE this shoe, it’s the only one that helping my aching, burning feet and my Morton’s neuroma. I was very thankful to get them because I work long 12 hour shifts with lots of walking and had already gone thru 4 other brands without relief. YES!! Buying my new pair of Mizunos I was stunned to see the cost, ?, and yes, I did make it a point to thank my (very good) friend AGAIN for GIVING me my first pair! I’ve been wearing them around the house for two days now and so far so good!

The toe box is wider than the previous versions which allows for more toe splay. The tongue of the shoe, has been updated in the form that it is sown to the shell of the shoe itself.

They were half a size too small, but I like everything else about them. I normally wear a size 9 shoe for most brands/styles, and so I ordered size 9 Wave Prophecy 8 shoes to replace my worn out size 9 Wave Prophecy 4 shoes. The version 8 style cramped my big toe, though, so I returned them and re-ordered them in a size 9.5.

Prophecy 8 is extremely comfortable -once I went a full size up. I wear a 7 -ordered 7.5-had to Exhange for 8. I originally had Prophecy 2- That was a true wide toe box shoe. I wore a 7 and I still have room in this shoe. I had the Prophecy 6- and they narrowed the shoe -a 7 felt like a narrow 6.5. Our feet are not meant to be scrunched inside the shoe. So if you want to try this shoe- go a whole size up. It is worth the cost. Zappos is the best when it comes to buying shoes online. I am wondering if I should get a 2nd pair. Hope this helps.

Totally cushy and supportive even a year later with regular use. I always go up half a size in Mizuno for some room to move while working out. Lovely wide toe box as usual. I loved the style of my Salomon’s but the narrow width hurt my feet. Sticking with Mizuno. These are totally worth the hefty price tag. I supinate badly and they keep me stable as well.

these shoes are gorgeous and the cushioning and support is amazing! I’m a 10.5 M and always size up to 11 in Mizuno.

I normally wear Size 10 in sneakers this brand I need 10.5. And then they fit fine.

Big fan of Mizuno's in general! I do recommend ordering a half size up as with other reviews they did run smaller than my older pair. My older pair was 9 1/2 but ended up getting a 1/2 size bigger of a 10. Haven't taken them out for true exercise test yet, just worn around the house and they feel good. I got the black which I am a fan of but do wish that the company had some more fun colors available for this style. I have a high arch and these shoes are great the support that I am used to with Mizuno's, along with padding/cushion on the balls of my feet. Just remember to order up in size! Zappo's has a great exchange program that is always easy and your new pair arrives quickly!
