Beautiful boot, great Frye quality. I planned to wear them bare-footed and was concerned that the heel slipped too much and I was afraid that I'd get blisters once I wore them. The back tab is a little high on the achilles, and again, with too much slippage, a blister waiting to happen. I was disappointed that I had to return them.

Beautiful booties and extremely comfortable. So glad I took a leap of faith. Zappos never lets me down.

I usually wear a 9 to 9.5 and I ordered 9.5 based on other reviews. The 9.5 barely fit, a tad small and narrow, so exchanging for a 10--that's the only reason for the 4 stars on comfort. That said, these booties are gorgeous. I thought they were really stiff at first, but then figured out to remove the cardboard shapers! The leather is quite soft, I don't anticipate any heel rub issues. These boots are very stylish with just a little bit of that Frye edge. I don't need them, but geez, can't live without them. Maybe I'll ask to be buried in them. And it's even better that they come from zappos, the best company ever.

NOT Frye quality. These are made in China and feel cheap (if you know what good leather shoes should feel like). Style is super cute, though, and I would definitely keep them if they didn't hurt. They pinch at the toe and the heel is wide, so I both step out too much and slide forward.

these boots are so cute. Wish I would have read the fine print more thoroughly before purchasing. I wanted to wear these dancing and was very disappointed that they have rubber on the sole - I really wanted a leather sole. I still wear them to work, but now I need to look for something else for dancing.

These felt great when I tried them on. I did feel like there might be some rubbing on either side of the heel, but hoping it doesn't last. I have a bit of a wider foot and they fit fine. The leather was nice. The leather is a true white. Just what I was looking for.

These booties are beautiful. The leather is soft and the shoe is well-made. Sadly they were too narrow for my wide foot. Ordering through Zappos is always great; easy returns and the absolute best customer service. Thank you!

The shoes felt true to size, as Frye boots always do. I've been looking fo an open shank transitional bootie for a while and these are the best in terms of style. I have these in black. You are most likely to wear these without socks due to style, but they are pretty uncomfortable. The counter is very hard and the shoes gave me a lot of painful blisters. I think the lining materials could have been chosen better for the style. The other problem is that the nubuck wore out very quickly. I wore the shoes a handful of times and they already look like I've worn them every day for three months with many bald spots on the upper.

I really like the shoes, BUT i did not realize they had rubber on the bottom of the sole. My whole purpose of buying them was to wear them dancing.

I was so excited about these boots, but I actually laughed when I saw them in person. They look like witch's shoes! Since I'm not into Wicca and don't enjoy having my toes pinched into tiny unnatural triangles, I sent the boots back.

Beautiful boot. Frye never disappoints me. The quality is still there after all these years in business. I bought the tan colored ones and they are a little lighter than the picture shows. They were very comfortable the first time I wore them. No regrets in making this purchase.
