This is a great sandal. Had them before and they lasted for over 3 years. Then they updated the style and it was horrible, ugly, and only lasted one summer. Glad they brought these back! Pricey, but if you’re going to be on your feet in sandals all day they are worth it.

I have other Docs and was hoping to find a fishermans sandal with so much style. These are outstanding and the leather is soft and oh so comfortable. The construction would have them lasting for years and they look amazing on my feet. I loved the leather insole, the heel cup and the substantial straps that allow for perfect fit, and the stitching all over the shoe. The sole and cushioning are wonderful. I sadly had to return them however and it is really my fault. They are heavy. I missed that in the information section and I have a problem knee and left hip which were not too happy after a few hours of wear just around the house.. I have waited for years to find a "perfect" sandal like these so I am bummed........Dr Marten constructs amazing shoes and boots though so I will just be more aware when I read the information about a product that Zappos so generously provides. I would HIGHLY recommend these sandals for all the other reasons I have stated above.

Yes, they are a bit heavy but great for outside city wear rather than a sandal that is too light and comes off easily. Great styling and super well made.

SO glad these are back. I had them in the 90s and loved them :) Fit isn’t quite as perfect now, but close enough for me.

I waited years for these to be available. I bought two pair at the same time, in case they aren't offered again for years. I have very flat feet and these are the only sandals that don't hurt my feet right away. Because they are taller than most sandals, they also offer some some foot and toe protection. These are well-constructed and can be worn casually or even a little dressy with shorts and a button down. I wear a Men's 8, but have learned from experience that in Doc Martens, I should order a size 7. They are a little tight at the moment, but will loosen up and be perfect after a few uses. These are the only sandals I wear and they last at least 5 - 7 years with moderate use.

I have been trying for MONTHS to order the brown or black in a women's size 7 and 8. I finally was able to buy the 8 women's black from Zappos. The 7 might fit better but I have been unable to buy it to compare. My daughter wore these in high school in the brown size 7 (5 mens) women and they just bring back the BEST memories. Zappos would you consider allowing customers to order two sizes when they come in? Perhaps you could have a waiting list and send a text. I am still wanting the women's size 7 and size 8 in the brown. Love you Zappos!

I've always wanted a vintage pair of Dr. Marten's sandals and finally have them. They came extremely quick too with standard shipping. Thank you Zappos ??

These are great for those folks with wide flat feet like myself. And I really really wish that the other models came with the footbed that's on this one. That all being said, the break-in period must be really long for these, and the heaviness of the shoe combined with the angle of the heel strap makes that breaking in process quite painful. After only a short while, it rubbed my achilles tendon pretty raw. If it doesn't improve, I'll have to return them. Damn shame.

Very heavy sandal. Encases most of foot, and is a higher platform than the typical sandal. Husband did not care for, therefore returned.

I was not able to keep these sandals because they were too big. I'm regularly a US 7 size I was guided by the size chart. Also, the sole was too thick for my comfort.
