Nice quality sandals with good quality hardware. Good weight, not too heavy. I have the Voss Brando sandals in a Women’s 9 which fit perfect and I’m a 9.5 so I got these (Xabier) in a 9 thinking it was the same deal but they were too small and also a tad narrow. Not sure why because I have multiple unisex Docs in a 9 but these were too small so I exchanged for a women’s 10 and they’re about 1/4-1/2 inch larger than the Voss sandals.

Runs a half size large. Was rubbing on top of foot on one side then became comfortable. Sole is thick and grippy which is why I bought them. Most men’s sandals like this have frail thin soles. These are more substantial.

After ordering dm women's sandals for myself that were too big even when an entire size smaller than I normally wear I opted to go small for my son on these sandals, his doc marten boots & shoes are size 11 so I ordered these in 10. They were waaaayyyyyy too small. I'm re-ordering in his normal size 11 and even trying out the size 12 because they seemed that small.

Zappos recommended to order size down. Thank God I did! I wear a size nine but these shoes would have been huge at a size 9 ! I ordered the 8 and they fit perfect. Wore them a whole day - had mild discomfort but only because they need breaking in. They are so cool!!!! I LOVE THEM!

I’m usually a US8/39 in Docs and I’m happy I sized down to US7 for these sandals. Like most Dr. Martens they need a bit of breaking in, but the length is much better a size down. The toe strap is narrower than Docs typically run, but even after wearing for a day I can already feel them loosening a bit. I have slightly larger ankles but did not feel the back strap was too short (it also stretched a bit on first wear). Would recommend sizing down in these.

Great looking sandals. My feet are a bit narrow so I had no problems with these. In fact, the leather stretched a bit after some wear and now they feel loose. Also, these sandals are heavy but I often wear heavy boots so that wasn't an issue for me.

These sandals look great, and feel like halfway decent quality. They can be dressy or retro-casual. One common complaint is that they feel too narrow across the toes on the front strap, but they felt fine right out of the box.... just a hair tight, but they stretched and broke in quickly....And I have wide feet. The only comfort issue I’ve had is a couple of blisters around where the rear strap attaches to the sides. The stitches were rough, protruding and needed to be filed down a bit to be flush and smooth. All in all, I’m enjoying wearing them, but time will tell if they hold up.

Tried 3 different sizes and not a single one worked. But if they would have been comfortable I would definitely have kept cuz they're pretty f'ing rad style-wise.

Having tried the Terry in my usual Docs size---they were huge---I sized down for these. The length is fine, perhaps a wee bit long, but the front strap is very tight and, sadly, I gotta return them. They look great---sort of retro hippy-punk---and I set them aside for a coupla weeks trying to convince myself they would work. Just tried wearing them around the house, and though I wore thin socks to keep them clean, that strap is just going to be way too tight regardless. Made my feet feel numb, and I don't think they'll loosen up over time; they're just cut too small. Try these, maybe, if you have REALLY skinny feet and are feeling lucky.

The sole is wide but the front toe strap is very narrow. I don't normally need a wide but absolutely would in these. They look great though, so I wish they had a wide.
