Good fit. At first near the toes felt a little tight but they broke in. One of my favorite pair of sandals.

I LOVE the look and feel of these dr Martens sandals. But they run LARGE compared to the recommended size, and that is rare for me to say. I went with recommended size, and they were at least a half size (probably whole size) too large. I am returning them, and just ordered the next size down. Wearing these significantly too large seemed unwise, easy to trip with slide-in mule style. These are MUCH lighter weight than my old dr Martens sandals from the 90s. Sole is more foam than traditional dense rubber. Can't know yet about comfort, but really liked the feel of wearing them for a bit around house to try size. Insole has medium arch support. Width average, and one strap is adjustable for a wide variety of instep heights. Although I have not gotten a chance to wear these, I wanted to write a review to warn others that the recommended size might be too large. I usually wear UK 8, 42, which is my CORRECT size in this sandal too. Zappos recommended UK 9, 43, which is supposedly U.S. Men's 10 and U.S. Women's 11. It WAS like a Men's 10, but more like U.S. Women's 12. So U.S. guys should be fine going with size printed. U.S. women go a size DOWN.

the only other reviewer hit the nail on the head, i can basically say "read below"--it helped me get the right size; originally i ordered a 39 which is usually what i am in that sizing--however these are apparently unisex, had no idea (i'd ordered them from a different place the first time, no mention). the 39s were clunky and long, i have narrow feet so they looked weird. decided to try the 38s (ordered from Zappos) and they are perfect. the chunky sandal is in this year! these are on trend and very comfortable (and i imagine very sturdy based on the look and feel but i have only worn them out of the house once). enjoy!

Talk about walking on a cloud. All I can wear is docs these day. With Summer in New Orleans, I needed a Comfortable airy sandal to deal with our Swampy Humidity and Knee deep flooding from Summer rains. These Fit the bill. They are roomy enough to help when my feet swell with the rising temperatures, but secure enough to not slide around ( or lose in a sudden flash flood). I can wear them with dresses for work or Shorts and super casual. Talk about true classic style. Very happy with my purchase

This is a very cool looking, modern sandal. I’m not even the type of gal that’s into “platform” style shoes, but this sandal gives you added height with not too much, so that you are still at a great center of gravity. As far as one of the other reviews saying this show runs big, I didn’t find that to be true in my case. I am a true women’s 9, but at first had ordered an 8 listening to the review that said this shoe ran large, and I ended up exchanging for a my normal size 9, because the 8 was to exact fitting and felt to small. Glad I did, love this sandal.

LOVE these Doc Martens - wore them all summer with shorts, skirts, slacks. Got tons of compliments and they still look new after beating them up all summer. Highly recommend to add an "edge" to your summer wardrobe!

The shoes fit perfectly. It's been a long time since I've worn Doc Marten's, and I'm glad I got this pair! Very comfortable.

Totally adorable shoes!!! Super chunky profile but not so much that they make my feet look big. Very 90's chic. Loving these docs!!!!

I love these Docs, they are mostly comfortable and I find them rather good-looking. A couple of caveats: (1) follow the other advice given herein about sizing. I wear an 8 1/2 to 9 US sizes generally, and these are UK size 6. I was lucky to get help with the size from one of Zappos knowledgeable and friendly customer service reps, so call if you have any doubts regarding the size to order. (2) these sandals have moderate to little arch support, which I require if I plan to be either standing or walking for most of the day.

Sizing isn't quite right. I'm a true 8-1/2 women's. I ordered a 6-UK in both the Ryker sandal and Hayden sandal. After returning a 7-UK Hayden, too big, both should have fit. The Ryker sandal was a full half inch shorter than the Hayden. Have returned both and will try the Ryker in a 7-UK. Really like both of these styles and wanted them to fit.

My daughter loves the sandals..they look cute and feel great! Remember to order one size down because they are unisex. She is a standard 6 but we ordered the 5 and they're perfect!

Love the sandal but it’s way too big compared to my other Docs. I’m sending it back, sadly.

I wanted to love these but my feet are difficult to fit due to a high arch. The front was too tight for my foot, and when I adjusted the strap over my arch, the sandal felt too loose. I opted for the Doc Martens Gladiator sandals that lace up instead. Great looking shoe. Extremely good quality and style. I recommend them to anyone who does not have a high arch.
